Staff and food ok
Booking showed the wrong location and it took us one hour to walk along Jl. Tirta Tawa but our real destination was Indigo Trees. Please please get to agreement next time, otherwise other customers will be also confused!
location in authentic rice paddies beautifully made roofing from banana leaves I think whimsical stepping stones from the external staircase to the dining area private courtyard for all 3 rooms
location of light switches some hooks needed in the bathroom to hang clothes at least 2 hooks needed in each bedroom need small rubbish baskets in each room
Location in centre of rice fields, food was great and cheap, shuttle bus to town was great
No room safe
- modern room style with a fabulous view - simple breakfast wit amazing fresh juices - they've organized the transfer to the city center
- very difficult to find this place because there is no sign on the road and the Villa is located in the middle of the rice field (turn right/left by the Junjungan Ubud Hotel) - the pool is really small and more for decoration
Very nicely decorated. Spacious room. Quiet surroundings.
No intercom in room. No way of calling for assistance unless we got down from 3rd floor! No fridge in room. No kettle for hot water in room. No complementary brush or sleepers provided. No microwave in the hotel where we could sterilize baby feeding bottles. No lunch or dinner or snacks available. One 8 ft by 6 ft (approx) pool which is not accessible to guests who did not book large villas! Under staffed.
Staff is very friendly and interior is very nice and different. The villas are way better than the room.
It was a bit a far and difficult to find. First we stayed in the room not in the villa. TV was not working and the living area is open air so lots of insects get in. Bathroom is very small and dark. Don't forget the insect repellant. The couch was dirty so you don't feel comfy sitting on it. But once we shifted to the villa, that made up for everything. Beautiful furniture and big bathrooms.
nothing really works
Villa owner has an acquired taste in art that is not so child friendly. Like the picture of the rabbit with hollowed eyes staring at you in the bathroom.
When finally arrived at destination, Indigo Trees turned out to be in a very beautiful garden, very large rooms in the appartments, friendly but largely ineffective staff.
Arrived at the address of Indigo Villas given in the booking north of Ubud (coordinates are wrong by approx 500m), but it turned out that was not the place where Indigo Trees where we had booked the appartment. After a good hour of waiting and chaos, a driver turned up and took us to the final destination. However having never been there he got lost on the way to Indigo Trees and we ended up on mud roads in the rice paddies, literally stuck in the mud. Finally a good 2.5 hrs after having arrived at Indigo Villas we ended up at our appartment. Chaos again. Appartment not ready (at 1800h in the evening...), no towels at hand, no sheets. We ended up sharing a single towel over two appartments, and no sheets. The single towel smelled incredibly foul from literally meters away, not correctly dried or washed, or both... Indigo promised a shuttle into Ubud (approx 2.5km away), but we had to wait another 45 mins before the driver turned up. When returning from town more chaos, the driver said he did not have the go ahead from the hortel to pick us up. Since there was a general power cut in Ubud, we took whatever weels we could get our hands on. In short, this place is far from ready from receiving guests, and until it does stay clear!
Nice quiet area. Nice staff. Cozy and comfy room.
The view from our room over the rice paddues, the sounds of crowing roosters and chanting from nearby Hindu ceremonies made us feel we were really in Bali. The banana pancakes for breakfast were delicious too.
There was a mistake with last night of our booking so we had to be moved to Indigo Tree, which meant packing up and moving only kids for only one night. Indigo tree was beautiful and we were given amazing rooms in what looked like an old sandstone mansion, so this ended up ok.
This place has lovely decor and they provided free transport up until 9pm ish. The staff were very sweet.
Unfortunately we did not enjoy our stay here. Maybe we are too 'Kiwi' but this was too 'authentic' for us! Our 3 bedroom room had a thatch ceiling meaning that bugs were everywhere at night and we had cats climbing around the tops of the walls. Neither of us slept well both nights because it was so noisy! Motorbikes, dogs barking and roosters crowing all night long, not to mention the guests in the unit below. It was also really hard to find! With no signage. It's quite a long way from Ubud.
The staff were amazing. Very attentive to all fine details. From the moment we arrived, we felt at home. The property is a bit out of the main town and quite difficult to find, but once you get there, it is amazing with beautiful views over the rice fields. The accommodation was very comfortable and clean.
Slightly out of the main town and difficult to find, but this didn't affect our enjoyment.
The resort is so beautiful, and the staff so friendly, there are very far from the town center, but hotel will give you the free shutter bus, 10mins get the bus to the center. So.I Like it.
The resort is small, only 5 villas, and the public area is nearly the rooms, in the midnight, vocie make you sleep difficult. And the shower water sometimes not warm, I can't feel comfortable about that.
They upgraded my booking. The staffs are very friendly and helpful. They helps us ordered good local dinner to their dinning table. We had 3 days 2 nights wonderful stay.
No infant friendly stay environment. The small pool water is cold.
lovely place in the middle of rice fields, great view. the hotel shuttle is there to take you downtown so you stay in a quiet and serene place while you have access to the city in minutes time. loved it.
Staff , Location , service mind
This is my 2nd stay at Indigo Villas. It's like coming home. I love the peaceful setting of this villa surrounded by the rice fields. At night I watched the fire flies in the rice paddies from the balcony of my room. By morning I rise before the sun to watch the birds feed in the paddies. Such a peaceful place and Andre, and his staff are wonderful! The breakfasts are great with eggs any way you like them (I prefer vegetable omlet), fresh fruit or drink, banana pancakes and Bali coffee. They also offer free rides into the center of Ubud return trip. And, pick up from the airport at a fair rate. Would highly recommend this place to anyone who likes a stylish home setting away from the noise and traffic of Ubud but close enough not to be inconvenient.
Cannot be better, the stuffs are warm and informative, the room is big and clean, the food is delicious, the pool is clean and opens 24/7, the cat mum and her two kittens are just adorable, I can sit in the sofa for the whole afternoon and watch them play =) I got confirmation email from the hotel as soon as I made reservation, and the front desk helped me to arrange pick up and whole day tour with very reasonable price. We checked out late (9pm) and the hotel provided room for shower after a hot day walk. What more can you ask for. 强烈推荐！
Sooo lucky that we had been upgrade to honeymoon suite. such a perfect room for us to travel with small kids, staffs always helpful and friendly. We are like the breakfast very much ! We called them several times to get the correct direction of the hotel and got the replied with patient and polite, really appreciated !
nothing the area might a bit far from Ubud central but if you booked a driver that is not a problem at all !
The location is just outside the main city, but within minutes reach, while you will find yourself surrounded in silence and beautiful view over rice fields. Truly the best average budget vs superb quality I had in years. This place is a little dream villa where you could unwind, enjoy some peace and be inspired by the beauty of the villa and its rooms. I recommend staying in a higher floor room for good view. I stayed in Penthouse room. Fabulous.
My booking of a subsequent night went terribly wrong due to a mis-communication with local staff due to which I ended up without a room 10 hours before NYE.... I was not amused but the foreign owner came himself and offered us a solution which was far from satisfactory however at least we had a roof above our head...
Fantastic staff and lovely rooms, each with their own unique features!
Getting into and out of the centre of Ubud was a bit of a hike, however the free shuttle provided by the hotel was extremely helpful.
The attitude of service staff. The environment of the hotel. The breakfast of the hotel. The convenience of the shuttle bus.
The WIFI of the hotel. The shuttle bus is convenience for us to go other places or back to the hotel but need to wait for a long time.
The location of the Indigo Villas is amazing - in the middle of the rice paddies, in a very quiet area. The rooms themselves were also amazing - not so much in terms of traditional comfort (although that was fine too), but mostly because of the special design of the rooms and the furniture, all quite unique. The Villas also provided free transportation to and from Ubud, which was great because it's about a 20 min walk from the city. There's restaurants in that area though, so one could easily have dinner around there. It was very special to stay in this place.
There is a pool, but more a plunge pool than a swimming pool. The Wifi Internet connection was also not really functional when we were there.
the staff are good but a bit scary at night because there are only guests at night...no staff are staying there
