Jayakarta Hotel Bali  

Second time staying at the Jayakarta and it was just as good as the first time. Great facilities, great staff and had a fantastic time. Great pools and beautiful garden areas. Had absolutely no problems. Rooms were cleaned and serviced daily. Included breakfast had more than enough to choose from, catering for all tastes. Eggs, omelette's, waffles, pancakes, cereal, toast, Indonesian food, juice, tea/coffee, fresh fruit! Right on the beach, so close to a great choice of restaurants along the Beach Front. Service roads at the back, so easy to get a taxi or transport vehicle to go to wherever you need to go.

The location, the pool especially where the children's pool is located. The breakfast is delicious. The staff are respectful and courteous. The staff are brilliant with my grandchildren and made our stay relaxing.

The tv's are very old and the reception is very poor, there are not enough pay tv channels like another hotel I stayed in the following week. The rooms are slightly outdated and the bathrooms really need an upgrade. For the price it's slightly overpriced. But the friendliness of the staff and the location makes up for those downfalls.

The location, facilities and the fact breakfast was included in the price

Reception staff were not very knowledgable, with very poor English. Everything seemed 'too hard'

The pool bar had a very limited drinks menu! The breakfast wasnt as good as I expected! For the size of the hotel the restaurants that provided the breakfasts were not very big so people were asked to come back later...

Location was ideal as it was beside the beach, markets just off the street and some decent restaurants nearby.

Service was appalling at this hotel. Upon arrival, they didn't have our booking despite us having all the relevant documents and booking reference. The staff were not attentive or courteous and in some instances ignored you. The room was adequate in size and comfort however, the mice poo on the cabinet was disgusting and the rats in the roof kept us awake on a several occasions. I also witnessed some rats run through the hotel restaurant which is beside the pools. Breakfast was ok but once again the staff were not attentive. Everyday we had to request our coffee mugs and some cutlery whilst other tables had them. I believe that because the hotel has so many people coming and going and that it's in demand, the staff generally don't care about it's guests and are more concerned with turnover. Pool times were not adhered to and loud guest kept us awake both morning and night. The place is full of Aussies and quite frankly, leave a bad reputation in Bali. I would not recommend this hotel whatsoever. I strongly suggest you take a look at hotels nearby. I went to a few nearby for dinner and lunch and regretted staying at Jayakarata.

Jayakarta is well situated and you can sit and watch the ocean while being able to swim in the resort pools. The staff were all very friendly and the daily cleaning of the rooms was excellent and done in a timely manner. Breakfast offered a large array of choices and you could ask for specific things such as poached or boiled eggs. The staff were willing to assist with transport or any other special requests. A free shuttle bus ran to Kuta several times a day. While the resort has been open for many years and is beginning to look a little tired in places, this did not distract from our stay. The grounds were absolutely beautiful. Would stay here again.

No complaints

The best features of the Jayakarta were the spacious grounds and how well they were kept. Breakfast was only O.K. Swimming pools were good.

The biggest let down was the room quality and the general lack of maintenace, definitely only one star. Our rooms were particularly bad being beside a stairwell and adjacent to the cleaners compound.Locks between interconnecting rooms were broken.Opinions varied greatly about the resort.If you're the least bit discerning look elsewhere......P.S. Our friends stopped at the Legian Beach Resort which I found vastly superior and more professionally run and for not much more money.

The food and drink selection is very good

The hotel is in need of updates and many repairs.It is not value for money as we left 3 days early and checked into a different hotel.We were very dissapointed at the Jayakarta.Sorry.

the location to the beach, the security at all the exits, friendly staff, great location to legian for bars and shopping, the free shuttle into kuta,the 24 hour reception, the gardens,

It was great to be able to have late massages after been out all day and not have to leave hotel. To have a choice of restaurants and bars was terrific, even a choice of pools was good. Having a in house doctor gave peace of mind,( even thou we didn't need him )

On arrival I was shocked to see how big the place was but once settled in found it very enjoyable having so many interesting and different people of various ages to chat with by the pool or bar or over breakfast. Or even chat with over late night hot chocolates.

Très bel emplacement. Excellent petit déjeuner.
