Excellent hotel. Celebrated my birthday in Ubud and the staff made a real effort -cake at breakfast, decorations in room. The hotel is lovely in a great location, but the staff really do make the stay all the better. The place to be in Ubud.

Luxury space to retreat within a cramped and dirty town. Staff were friendly and helpful. Price reasonable. Breakfasts were good.

Difficult to find if driving yourself. Nearby building noise made spa visit not very relaxing.

We loved everything in Kajane. From point of booking, the communication was prompt and clear. During the stay, we were well taken care of by friendly and polite staff. The Kajane HomeMADE Resto was also the highlight...very yummy food and great value for money. The crispy duck was even way better than those at Dirty Duck! Will certainly love to stay here again!

We had an extension and were moved to the Day Use Room. The room was great but at the furthest end of the Kajane estate. We feel terrible for the staff who waited on us and helped us move the suitcases in and out. Perhaps the hotel can consider day use rooms nearer to the reception or the front block instead. However far the walk, it was still very pleasant.

We like the location and the facilities were exceptional. We had two rooms in a complex of four with a shared pool. For us it was excellent as we had the ground level rooms for 4 people. Easy access to restaurants and shopping area. Shuttle was very accomodating for local area.

I dont think we would have liked it if our accomodation was the upstairs rooms sharing a pool.

We loved the location,the friendly staff ever willing to help,the rooms,shuttle service to town centre,the sunrise trek package organized by the hotel.A Special mention has to be made about your staff.They knew us by name and were always smiling and willing to help.All our housekeeping calls were promptly attended to.Keep it up.

The restaurant food was just about average. The breakfast pack on our sunrise trek to Batur should be packed in paper bags.We found that the waste packet left behind in plastic is not good for ecotourism.

All of the staff were incredibly friendly. Everyone went out of their way to greet us and were extremely pleasant. The Hotel is very Central - smack bang in the middle of everything in Ubud. The courtesy drop off & pick up service is amazing. Ten vehicles to look after the guests - wow. It's like they don't want anything to happen to any of us. Loo Dee (?) who checked us in was extremely helpful. She couldn't do enough for us and didn't leave us until all of our needs were satisfied. A very good employee. We had a rushed trip to the restaurant as we had something booked in. Everybody was very understanding & organised a quick dinner with no notice. Very good service.

Points & phone chargers were a bit of a problem. We found it very hard to charge phones. The WiFi is also a challenge. Constantly having to sign in is very frustrating.

The staff were very friendly! They made sure that we were well taken-cared of. And even if our villa was at the end of the property, they would come when called. The hotel vehicle too, would always be available for their guests.

We loved everything in Kajane! But one night, when we were walking to our Villa, we were surprised to see a snake when we were walking beside the rice paddy/terraces, cross our path. It looked like a garden snake and was more frightened of us, than we were with it!

Our private villa was a perfect sanctuary for relaxing and enjoying some quiet time together as a couple.The villa was luxurious, in a beautiful Balinese style architecture.Loved the outdoor bath and pool area.The morning breakfasts on our terrace were a lovely start to the day.The staff were extremely hospitable and always happy to help,they are a great asset to the business. The location is perfect, right in town so everything of interest is within walking distance yet within the villa itself you feel very much away from the hustle and bustle outside.It is very private and a nice scenic view from the villa.The free shuttle was a bonus, we took it to a restaurant in the rice paddy field (highly recommended- Cafe Pomegranate, go in evening before sunset) Overall we were thrilled with Kajane Mua Private Villa and will be back again!

It can be quite noisy in the mornings (early) due to the gardening/daily maintenance work going on around the property so not much chance of a sleep in while there.(for our villa anyway)

Affordable luxury with impeccable service. Our villa was cleaned and made up during the day and again in the evening the bed was turned down and nets arranged around the bed, side lights turned on and aromatherapy and mosquito oils turned on - all without ever seeing anybody in the villa. It is like having invisible elves that come an do everything they can to make you feel looked after and welcomed. The staff were so helpful, booked a driver for a tour for us and even booked a table at a retaurant when I couldn't get through. The private pool was so big and clean and we loved being able to use it whenever we wanted - no curfew behind closed doors. Even a leaving present for their guests shows that Kajane have done all they can to be at your service with fantastic 5 star accomodation but none of the snootiness. Perfect Ubud style.

Good location in centre of Ubud, nice restaurant in front of. (Cinta grill) Well designed rooms with big place in bathroom You can take dvd in reception for free.

When I was there 14.02.12, the building near was under construction, what makes nose from 10:00-18:00. Of course I was generally outside at this time of a day, but... And despite of all insect protection on the first flour there were moskitos!

-Staff is very friendly and help all things. For example, our stroller was broken and they brought one until staying in the hotel. -Location is wonderful. There are a lot of shops and monkey forest around there. -There are various west style food in the restaurant and their price is reasonable. -Service is very good and room cleaning twice in a day. -If you stay in Ubud, it is suitable and good option.

-Breakfast is average. -Swimming pool is small. -There are few activities in the hotel. If you stay only in the hotel, you may bored.

We had a honeymoon and hotel did their best to pamper us as young couple ;) I like villas room it has all you need to feel like royal family;) amazing garden , very exotic, monkey forest nearby and bicycles rent made our stay very happy. But what I will recommend to all is SPA of hotel. It was my BEST SPA EXPERIENCE. Close to nature , very professional therapists and good value for money.

Very very slow internet. I would say it was the worse speed I ever seen.

Staff are excellent. Hotel grounds and rooms are beautiful. The free car service in Ubud is so handy but the location is so central you almost don't need it (but for the heat)
