The staff were amazing - we had a couple of issues and they did everything they could to help. There was building work going on, meaning we couldn't use the main pool in peace. I made a complaint and they upgraded us. They couldn't have been more helpful. Also the breakfast was fantastic! The building work. Also the shuttles were relatively infrequent. We hired a scooter though so it didn't affect us.

The resort is very beautiful and has a relaxing feel. The gardens are lovely and well kept ... the pool is very clean ... the service staff is very friendly and always helpful... dinner was good esp the crispy duck !! didnt really like the cold floor in the bedrooms.. would have rather had wooden floors, just a suggestion

Very nice resort with an exceptional Infinity-Pool towards a Jungle- Valley - Wow!!! A little far away from the city - but with your own car, a taxi or the Hotel-Shuttle it isn't really a problem. The Resort is pretty big - so you have a lot to walk.

Once in the villa, the facilities and solitutde were great Major renovations works are underway, which we were not advised about. Reception and main building including resturant were closed so not very many facilities in resort available. No real views available due to screened off works areas. Very noisy with constant banging throughout the full day. Would not recommend.

Kamandalu is a magical place: the perfect Balinese paradise. The villas are beautiful and luxurious and have lovely touches like outdoor showers and private burgas (balinese style outdoor bed). The public areas are lovely as well with a great pool and wonderful areas to relax in. The business center is well run for those that need to stay connected. The spa is wonderful and the treatments really well done. The staff is warm and friendly and provide excellent service through out the resort. Kamandalu is the perfect location to explore the temples, mountains, forests and rice terraces of Bali and return to a setting where you can be pampered in luxurious comfort and immerse yourself perfect relaxation.

The enviroment there is so excellent. It made me relly feel relax. And all the people were absolutelly friendly and kind. The cocktail is socks... It's the only thing I feel disappointed about Kamandalu... They should improve their bartenders' profession.

Good value for money,the swiming pool was very nice with a breath taking view breakfast was nice and simple the resort and villas are beautiful, hotel staff were very kind They have placed some plywood for my privacy as revention was taking place next to my villa also prices for room dining were very reasonable. The ac in the room was small and not enough for the size of the villa. The gate in villa 200 needs fixing.

Kamandalu was a beautiful, peaceful and tranquil resort set in the mountains of beautiful Bali. We spent 3 nights here but wished we had booked 5. It is close enough to the town of Ubud to do shopping, spas and other activities - a $5 cab fair or use the free shuttle. The resort itself was immaculate and the staff went out of their way to ensure our stay was perfect. The food and beverages were a five star standard as were the pool and pool side area. The setting for the resort is spectacular - as soon as we arrived we were relaxed. There are only two minor things I did not like about Kamandalu. As there are very few things to do at Kamandalu you needed to travel outside the resort for activities and the shuttle service was not regular enough (although we only needed to wait 10 mins for a cab and they were very cheap)and the spa was overpriced.

The hotel was very beautiful, and the rice terrace within the property was spectacular. The staff was very friendly and helpful. In particular, our driver Agus was very attentive. He gave us lots of helpful information about the area and insight into the culture which really added to the enjoyment of our experience. His English was very good, so we were able to go to him with any questions that we had. We would like to send along a thank you to him for making our experience more enjoyable.

This place is exquisite. The architecture is true balinese and the attention to detail outstanding. The service impeccable. The food very good. The atmosphere and the views excellent. We will come back. But we love nature and buildings with lots of character and authenticity, so for people that love very modern designs or the absolutely latest technology around them ....perhaps this is not the place. The tv is small and the reception is not so good. We stay at the "chalet" but we know they have some more luxurious rooms with plasma TVs (good if you go on the rainy season) Ohh...and the water temperature at the swimming pools is 30 degrees..just perfect!! It is quite away from the village (Ubud) and you need to take a taxi (only 5 au$ so it is not bad) but I wish they would provide with a free shuttle service to Ubud that is much more frequent than the one they have now.

The staff were attentive and not intrusive. The hotel and its facilities were well maintained. The hotel is private and cannot be easily spotted from the main road and it makes it somewhat special and exclusive, a real retreat from the hustle outside. A place to calm your senses and relax.

We enjoyed the beauty and tranquility of the resort. The standard of the accommodation was excellent and reflected the style of a balinese house. We loved the two bedroom villa. It was spacious and very comfortable. The adjoining private pool was lovely to view from our room and was so nice to dip into. The gardens were beautifully maintained. We found the staff to be very gracious and warm. Nothing was too much trouble and we valued their attention to detail in all areas. We look forward to returning next year and staying in your resort. We appreciated the upgrade that we were given.

Kamandalu perfectly blends Bali architectural elements with luxuries and modern facilities. Together with the surrounding rice fields, it made me feel like living in a Bali Palace. Besides, it kept a certain distance from the town center that made it a wonderful place for a silent and relaxing retreat from busy city life. When talking about the professionalism of services provided, staff in the resort was always helpful and was willing to fulfill whatever requests I made. In short, my stay in Kamandalu was a dream and wonderfuly experience. It was a bit much to cost idr 500,000 to travel to / from the Ubud Center and the resort.

The rooms are large and luxurious, the baths large, with outdoor showers, the grounds are spectacular, the food was delicious and the service was friendly and quick.
