The best staff we ever experienced. So incredibly friendly and helpful.
The location itself is excellent, but the resort is situated a little
bit away from the village, adjacent to the jungle. You can go in the
village by foot though, if you want to experience real third world. The
resort offers an hourly shuttle to different places, it's better to
take it. Beds are world class, food is ok, but not extremely varied
(you have to like Indonesian style). They also have a few pasta that
taste ok and a super cool pizza oven fired with cocoa wood. Well, ok.
I'd rather go for a good steak instead of all that duck and
chicken. Personal preferences, it was my first time in Asia. Awesome
main pool, but as everywhere in the tropics: Don't be afraid of
animals and insects.
Not much to say here. The wine, maybe. Not so good and quite expensive.
You rather go for a beer. We changed the room after four days due to an
after-the-rain cockroach invasion combined with a frightening huge gecko
in our luxury private pool villa. Both not dangerous but annoying. The
hotel manager was suuuuper comprehensive and generous, gave us a suite
in the third floor and refunded even the difference. Unprecedented
service to the customer, 120% recommendation, here. Great job, Mr.
Kandhi. That's how you get customers. That's perfect. We enjoyed
the rest of our stay much more. I guess, when you book a place in the
jungle, animals is not the last thing you expect. It's not nyc.
