The grounds are beautifully manicured. The staff was outstanding and very friendly. The butlers attended to our desires immediately. Transportation was provided to our room when requested. fresh flower petals everywhere.

The privacy, we stayed in the Ayung River Pool villa and it was amazing! The staff were lovely, very accommodating and friendly :) Would love to come back here again!

The food portions were quite small and overpriced.

The service was outstanding. Attentive and friendly. Beautiful views of jungle, river and rice paddies. Very secure, peaceful and romantic. The 'trek' through the local area with Darma was a highlight. We also got a free room upgrade.

Floors in room were very slippery - be careful on the stairs. No balcony in our villa was disappointing. Breakfast was average. No shuttle to and from Ubud in evening.

What is not to like? The whole experience from start to finish was simply divine and if we could go back tomorrow we would. The attentive and welcoming staff happy to help you at any moment, the beautiful atmosphere of peace and tranquility and the actual villa we stayed in (room 24) were all equally contributing factors in helping to make our stay perfect.Ubud is the most beautiful place to visit and you couldnt help to be charmed. Thoroughly recommend both Kupu Kupu and Ubud itself.

The setting was amazing, staff very friendly, and rooms nicely appointed. Stay here for a special occasion and splash out. The Bali massage particularly good.

The low end rooms are not worth the high cost. You would be better off in Ubud. Food and drink menu could use more local flavours.

This is very beautiful villas with mountain view. The room is big and clean, they were cleaning room twice a day. The staff are friendly and room service is very seasonable. The meals over there are awesome, especially breakfast. They have shuttles bus between Ubud and villa every single hour.

The price are a little expensive than other villa on each program.

Staff were always respectful & eager to please. A misunderstanding about the room supplied was efficiently & satisfactorily rectified. We also really appreciated the gift of a special welcoming cake. Also the quality & presentation in the restaurant was exceptional. Every request & maintenence issue was quickly dealt with.

As the room had been booked a long time in advance we assumed we were getting a specific grade of room, as I had been there previously. Unfortunately we were put into a room with absolutely no view (even though it was a lovely room). Management rectified the situation as soon as the alternate room was available so all ended well.

Wifi was not very fast/connection not very good

We stayed 3 nights in the room and for the last night moved to the villa with pool. The carried some construction works nearby and after the second call to the reception they stopped everything and proposed ten things for laundry as excuse. That was quite cute. And the stay at the villa was excellent. Full privacy, great view on hte opposite hill and the river below. A small private home! A big bug and an enourmous toad were met as a wildlife adventure. Full relax.

Expensive, expensive. The bottle of wine would cost you 49 USD, and you can do nothing about it. The Ubud town is hardly reachable by foot, so for any need you have to take a taxi or wait for shuttle bus (during daytime, free)

The shampoo and body lotion is so good, the container looked very nice. Nice view in the mountain Stairs r little strap, lod people be careful

For us the staff we outstanding.. Beautiful, friendly people who more than helpful and went above and beyond our expectations. The villa that we stayed in (no. 5) was breathtaking. The rooms - the view - the private pool - couldn't fault it.

A small thing really is that this particular hotel is not really in walking distance to anything.. In fairness a complementary mini bus is provided throughout the day but you do need to get a taxi to the town in the evening/night..

Nobody can see your Willa territory, which is very big with a pool and open lounge place

Noise of tree cutting near our willa was a little bit annnoying at the last day

Room was very comfortable although leaked in places when it rained. Staff were very friendly and location was outside Ubud so away from the hubbub which was a good thing in our opinion.

The food was rarely served hot and was very average I am basing this on a couple of lunches and 6 breakfasts and one dinner. We chose to eat out in Ubud as there are many very good restaurants there offering better food at a better price.
