View just beautiful! Nice infinity pool, interesting design of suit.
Suit a bit small, but ok. Staff were friendly enough, but you can feel that they don't care actually
Excellent view over the cliffs, very nice bungalows & friendly staff.
Not easy to go somewhere around without scooter.
Pool and view are amazing. Nice, quite, relaxing and great value for money.
Needs maintenance to all timber decks, too many uneven surfaces to negotiate. I know it's a long dry season and you have construction of some description in the carking area but that is a very poor entry statement for such a view. Don't charge $10 corkage on wine you don't supply!
View is very nice....im very enjoyed to visit that place.. I'll be back soon
Over all really nice place, 15 min free massage in an amazing spa.
Breckfast was poor
Great and relaxing ambiance.
No direct access to a nice beach (although only three minutes by motobike)
Infinity pool Location near beautiful beaches Nice rooms
Location, the view is simply magic The pool Bungalow with AC Friendly staff Quiet and perfect to rest
Expensive restaurant A bit far from other activities or restaurant if you don't have a bike or a scooter
Great view great everything good for a couple
It's a drive to get anywhere including the beach. Not a huge issue
The location on top of a cliff was spectacular.Great views. Lovely staff Great to scoot around and explore. Great little beach to walk down to. Rock pools like spas at incoming tide.
Location miles from anywhere. wifi not good. Rooms average. Mezzanine was cool but really hot, aircon didnt go up there. Shower runs off tank, no pressure. No fridge in room.
I had a second stay during the same holiday, this time as solo traveller for 2 days. Very different experience, if compared with the previous I had one week before. This time the room was with no view, some noise in the morning come from outside resort work
I spent 4 days with my girlfiern for an absolutely beatiful stay and experience. Impressive view, more than you can expect from the pictures in the web site. The staff is smiling and helpfull all the time. The breakfast, served nera the swimmingpool, is an expirience. The Sel Spa that is the resort in simply different class
I won t suggest a place like that just appaence a fakeness The view is very amazing and the place apparently look nice but it s just fake t
Location is far from anyplace and the use that to letterarly overprize everything !!!from a bottle of water 30 rupie to a transport to a fruit salad that cost 55 rupie etcccc The second day we woke up with no water and no continentalbreakfast, they gave us just 1 small puncake and a small fruit salad for 2. in the night they were without rise...what can I say..... There are so many place cheepper and nicer than this .... Not finished place with a small swimingpool where the taxi available is just the one provided by them that is unbelievable overpriced like 125 rupie to go jimbaran one way thw beach is at 15 minute away
We thoroughly enjoyed La Joya Biu Biu. The location albeit remote, meant peace and quiet, and the most glorious views of the Indian Ocean. Food was good, and accommodation was comfortable without being luxurious. It was a perfect getaway for us.
Never ever book there if you wanna have a nice and relaxing stay, we did not sleep for the 2 nights we have been there because of the rooster, we complained like others but the management doesn't care. Everything, also only another cup of tea you want with your breakfast costs!!! The view is nice but there are a lot of other places with a nice view!!!
love the view, the location, the serenity, the pool, especially the spa! Very very recommended & very affordable yet very luxorious.
the room when we checked in was dusty and dirty that we had to had it clean first. The food in restaurant are lack of options, which important since the location are far from anywhere. The staff was very polite but lousy at the same time.
Stunning view from the cliff; nice pool (not very big one); very nice and quite spacious rooms; quite close to main Balangan beach (1km); not too many rooms so not too many people; quiet place.
The manager, french guy is a bit bearish-it is standard in indonesia, that the owner speaks with you, helps you etc - here it was not the case. The prices of food and drinks are a bit high and the food is just standard - they use the fact, that la joya is a bit in the middle of nowhere. It costs 125k RP to get to Jimbaran.
I absolutely loved everything about my stay at La Joya II Biu-Biu. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, the food was wonderful, the massages were amazing on the cliff top and the views were spectacular. I highly recommend staying there and look forward to returning on my next visit to Bali.
The hotel located on a cliff with amazing view of sea, the sunset is breathtaking! I enjoyed every moment, the breeze, sound of sea wave, beautiful view.
There is no quilt... don't know why, maybe the hot weather. Remember to bring toothbrush and toothpaste!
The setting is absolutely stunning, looking over the cliffs from the infinity pool to watch the sunset and the fishermen set sail for the night was truly magical. The rooms are beautifully decorated and designed, the bar/restaurant has a relaxed shabby chic vibe, the private beach is idyllic and quiet, and the staff are really sweet.
As a hotel La Joya should provide rest as well as relaxation, as its remote it should also have privacy - it delivered none of these and charged extra for the lack of privilege. Overall I would not recommend La Joya, besides all of the below it is very much a couples hotel not suitable for solo travellers. It put ended what had a been an amazing and exceptionally beautiful holiday in Bali on a very sour note. Reasons as follows: - The location is remote - very remote; so you will need your own transport if you want to get anywhere or pay IDR75k each way for taxi to supermarket/ATM or more to get to restaurants. - The restaurant at La Joya does serve small selection of dishes which are good BUT are quite pricey in comparison to other places visited in Bali (Nasi Goreng was 65k had not paid more than 40K anywhere else) AND have 21% tax added (10% gov tax & 11% service). - Unless you have sufficient cash to cover all costs of stay, they do accept credit cards BUT you will be charged an extra 3% on top e.g. any food/drink will cost 25% more (this is not displayed anywhere). - There is no fridge in the room so if you bring any food or drinks in you'll need to consume before they go off as staff are not allowed to let you use the hotel facilities - If you are fearful of dogs or specifically Rottweilers, you might not want to stay here are there are 2 in residence. I don't mind dogs, these 2 are friendly BUT still a little off putting when they run up to you barking/growling in the evening when by yourself AND sharing a yoga mat with them was definitely an experience. - I stayed in room 3 by hotel entrance, so not very private as staff walking in and out plus they were having some steps built so workmen outside room from 06:30-17:00. - Additionally the neighbours chickens roost in the tree 3m from the room door, and the cockerel crows 21:30-00:00 and 04:30-06:00 (when staff arrive).
Excellent location for holiday retreat with great sunset view. Infinity pool and outdoor area are the selling points.
The room I reserved is superior double room. Booking.com described it should have a sea view. However, the receptionist said none of their room will have sea view. The differences between superior and standard is just the size of the room. The superior room has second floor which only has one more bed. Thus, not worth to upgrade it. Construction on outdoor area still working, you may get a muddy feet if you wear a slipper. No fridge inside room. The washroom with an awful smell all the time.
The location, our accommodation and the free use of the kayaks. The reception staff were also friendly and efficient.
The service in the restaurant was atrocious at times with long waits despite not being particularly busy. The food was adequate but we experienced much better food for similar prices throughout our stay in Indonesia.
The view was phenomenal, and the location was close to Balangan Beach. Food was also decent for the price you paid.
I didn't like the roosters which kept crowing AT ALL HOURS EVERY NIGHT! 12am, 2am, 4am, 5am, the damn birds don't shut up. They need to remove these annoying animals from the area because if you are a light sleeper, you are going to be awake all night
Scenery and location far away from the hustle Spa and restaurant good value for money Friendliness and courtesy of staff Monkey visit of the location in the early morning Surf location close by
Facility (expansions) is still under construction but not annoying for the guests. Everything is going on the nice smooth Bali way. Deep abyss at the cliff, a no-go area for young kids. Not indicated but warned by staff of danger
The location is amazing, perched right on the cliff and only a short walk to Balangan Beach. The spa and massages were really great.
I think they are charging a bit much for a place that's only partially renovated. The restaurant food is pretty average and the towels are really shabby.
