Ambiance Gardens Pool Staff
- staff were friendly and accommodating - beautiful grounds - luxurious spa
- swimming pool did not have lane lines and was poorly lit at night
Very nice architecture Heritage Beautiful gardens
Colonial architecture and heritage Large, spacious rooms Variety of cable TV channels Staff are helpful
Too many Mosquitos in the rooms Pillows were too soft for support
Great colonial building, a must stay in Surabaya.
The look of the hotel, from 1 century ago, you feel in a historical place! Demonstration of a time when buildings where well designed, keeping fresh without air conditionning. Splendid gardens. Perfect location, surrounded by local markets.
Be careful, plugs are ot continental, almost only UK shape
Beautiful historic hotel comparable to Raffles Singapore
Mosquitos in room, but they were friendly
Nice courtyard, and the Colonial feel of the hotel.
One of my bath towels was very smelly!
The decoration and landscape was perfect.
There're a lot mosquitoes in the room.
Loved the old colonial style, gardens were beautiful, rooms quaint. A/C good both times we stayed. Very good breakfast and room service. Staff attentive but not pushy. We arrived without our luggage! and staff couldn't have been more helpful.
I liked that the hotel was a 5 minute walk to a very large mall in Surabaya. I also thought that the staff were very friendly and eager to help.
I didn't like that the gym was very run down and in need of a lot of work. I also didn't like the the pool drains were green and moldy. It was frustrating when the spa staff struggled to speak with me even when I was trying to speak in Bahasa Indonesia.
The ambience, staff and the garden
an excellent hotel, with a lot of history
excellent hotel, but the background music is annoying
This was my second stay at the beautiful Hotel Majapahit, and once again I thoroughly enjoyed myself. And I look forward to returning...
Loved the old style quaintness beautiful preserved throughout hotel. Good food, staff who care and surrounded in lovely gardens.
What a beautiful, historic architecturally-delightful Hotel! Beautiful grounds, gardens and recreational facilities. Delightful, knowledgeable aware staff.
I have stay for two days during 20-21 September 2014. Heritage hotel with colonial style, old building but kept clean. Beautiful garden and friendly staff. Most of the guests are foreigners. Booking online cheaper than walk-in,but overall is OK.
Just missed serving of fruits and news paper, my advise don't forget about fruits as tropical country identity this is our advantage
Wifi was strong..
1. Aircon broke down at 2am in room 34. Called reception, service man came to fix at 2.45am, was told takes 20 minutes to cool but still malfunctioned till 7am in the morning. 2. Ordered rice, specifically told reception not to have beef but was given beef as a side dish. 3. Good that staff noted that we were there to celebrate my wife's birthday, but they got the name on the cake wrong put my name instead
The room is quite big
The unfriendly staff and mosquitoz
restaurants and pool
suite too big (joke!!)
Colonial grounds, architecture and design. Rooms spacious and loved lamp light options. All facilities from restaurants, pool and spa just fabulous! Same designer as Raffles in Singapore and at 1/4 the price.
Air con not that great in room however ceiling fans helped.
Architecture of the hotel. Huge rooms! Pool and gym and spa. Garden ooo!
Historical hotel Attentive staff Nice pool
AC is passable Rooms have poor lighting, and are therefore dark. Like many hotels in Indonesia, drains are slow and tap water undrinkable
