Melia Bali is perfect for family with children , high security . Swimming pool is clean and beach is clear water .
Could be better if there was a shuttle bus b/w hotel to shopping area .
location, helpful staff
rooms and facilities very tired, need renovation.
The beach Comfort of bed
No shuttle to anywhere
location location location and bed
Aircon smells badly
AC not working sufficient. To hot and moist. Bed sheets felt wet all the time. Probably mold in room. Smelled like old bacement in room. Clothes never dried. They charged us dobbel for room, and denied it when I confronted them. After spending a half day explaining, they finaly gave me my money back. But didn't offer any compensation for they're mistake.
Garden and surroundings
Room was very humid and sheets/blanked/pillows terrible. Breakfast could be much better (food was cold) for such kind of resort hotel.
I like their service and great food as well their facilities, pool, beach, restaurants, fitness cente, and their welcome. Overall , I really enjoyed my stay at Melia hotel in Bali.
The staff were very courteous and friendly, and were mostly attentive to our needs. The rooms were comfortable and very clean. Good wifi speed as well.
I booked a "premium garden view" room with additional charges but my room(4316) was totally surrounded with big bamboo trees so my family could not see anything in my room. I complained to front staff and ask him to reply me via SMS or mobile phone what they can do for us for instance changing room or discount rate etc..but there was no update until check out..
Facilities, staff, spaciousness, breakfast, cleanliness..comfort of bed and pillows, dressing gown, slippers, toiletries, bottled water in rooms
The musty damp smell in bedroom, the low wattage poor quality hairdryer.
had to change rooms because A/C was not working correctly
We were going to the convention centre for conference. Easy walking distance. Also quick walk to shopping/ restaurants and massages.
The hotel is spacious with lush greenery and the pool is near the beach; beach front is beautiful and great view of sun rise. Just round the corner from the hotel is the Bali Connection and plenty of food and shopping .....
The lifts were kind of old and slow ...couple under repair but not a big deal as highest floor is 4th.
the food was good the staff were excellent, the rooms & surroundings were spotlessly clean & the gardens are beautiful,
The gardens and breakfast were fantastic.
No swim up bar, The spa is VERY expensive. Pool is too small.
location, surroundings, and staff
Loved the Sateria bar and deck restaurant.
Room smelled a bit musty, and I was given twin beds rather than a double.
Nice welcome Wifi in all areas including pool and beach Large, comfortable bed Beautiful grounds Room contains a safe and fridge/minibar Staff were all very friendly Big breakfast selection Free bottle of water each day
Beach is not suitable for swimming in
Breakfast and the restaurants are good.
Beach water level is too in low tide to swim. Rooms look a bit dated and need refurbishment
Breakfast was poor
This was booked last minute and not our normal sort of family holiday, but we have just enjoyed our first ever, sit back, relax and do nothing holiday, which was pretty great. We had a double level family room with a mezzanine for adults and lower level for kids, this provides plenty of space and a bit of separation for sanity's sake, rooms are all decked out in timber, beds really comfy, clean and also a lovely balcony with view across the well laid out, green and relaxing resort. Within the spacious resort there is a really nice pool with activities arranged all day, like volleyball, aerobics, etc.; spa/massage treatments in abundance; 5 pretty good quality restaurants; a great beach with beautiful sea; and there is a kids club which was a massive hit with our 5 and 7 year old.
Nusa Dua area is very good for eating and relaxing, for more adventure and "real life Bali" then you need to go further afield and it would be worth spending some days further north or some day trips to see other stuff. The day trips organized through the hotel are not high caliber and I would avoid. Also be aware that there is a very high price tag for everything. Worth eating elsewhere on occasion.
Nice comfy clean rooms. Lagoon access room was great for kids and had a good double pull out sofa bed to give 2 full size singles. Not many hotels will give you 2 additional beds so this was great. Nice size pool. Beach was good for swimming at high tide and at low tide looking for shells etc. The beach at the Melia is in a more sheltered bay between 2 small headlands so the sea is calmer than other hotels in Nusa Dua to the north or south, which is better for kids and swimming. The kids club was good at activities and taking them crabbing and making sandcastles, as well as baking and craft (even though the kids club room could do with a revamp). I liked the you could easily walk to the Sogo and shops and restaurants at The Bali Collection as somewhere to eat out. Also some nice beach front restaurants just next to hotel in The Bay Bali (Bumbu, Benek Bengil, Pirates Cove (great for kids).
Service at the beach restaurant was a bit slow. When activities such as aquarobics and water polo started in the pool, the music was too loud and it took up too much of the pool if you did not want to join in. This is not a critisism of the hotel but Nusa Dua in general is a bit cut off and due to traffic it takes longer to get places for sightseeing around the rest of the island.
I have never met more friendly, happy and hospitable staff. All the facilities are good, the garden is beautiful, the beach and the pool is nice, but you can find similar ones in this category. What makes the difference: the mentality of the staff and their efforts to make our holiday perfect. It was exeptional.
*good location - food places and trinket shopping right around the corner *amazing grounds • GREAT breakfast •Easy excursions right from the hotel
*wish they would give an easy schedule of other happenings at the resort, there was a really neat dance one night that we had just happened to hear from our room. Had we known, we would have not gone out and paid to see one. Just ask about things at the desk
It is a beautiful resort with easy access to multiple restaurants and beach. The buffet in the evening by the beach created a lot of joyful moments! Will certainly choose to stay there again next time.
Wi Fi is too slow.
