Had no sleep due to flying red ants landing on us through the broken window. No point in saying you have a TV when its all in Indonesian.

The price...and Weecheetra was very nice and helpful...unfortunately she could not help the predicament.... Booked a room for a night and ended up staying three, asked if I could move rooms for the fourth night and agreed yes, I could have the double next door...waiting on the guy cleaning it after the people checked out and was then told I couldn't move as it was booked, when I asked why I wasn't told this earlier he replied 'that's my business and not yours'....rude, unhelpful, ignorant, and wasted three hours of my day, thanks mertha jati, I will never be back or recommend your hotel to anyone.....disgusted with the way you handled everything...

The location as it was close to the airport, so could easily catch a morning flight. First of all I didn't like that the hotel staff decided to give us a different room instead of what we have booked for (in spite of the fact that all kinds of rooms were available on line!). Secondly the so called bungalow was extremely dirty, including the bathroom, could hardly take a shower as the bathtub was unimaginable! The bed was full of dirt from the ceiling (bamboo walls). Then there is no possibility to close the windows of the room or the bathroom, so the place was full of mosquitos (which is one of the worst worries if you are not from a tropical country, being afraid of malaria) and the road noises were horrid, as if you were sleeping on the side of a road. On top of all the hotel staff was very noisy in the garden after 11 pm, just in front of our windows. And to top the whole story, when we expressed our unhappiness to the manager/owner, stating how unfair was that there were complete other pictures online regarding the rooms, all he said was "As long as you are booking on line you have to take your chance" -outrageous!!!

The feel when in the is very traditional. Location pretty near if you want to heading Kuta Beach. Since Kuta very crowded nowdays rent a bike is the best solution for go around Bali. For price I tho it's quiet expensive. You can get cheaper room at Poppies Lane and also you can get breakfast. While here you only got room without breakfast.

The owners are very pleasant people. I've got a feeling that I was among the friends. They helped us a lot with tips concerning the live on Bali and in Indonesia in general. Location is very good. Airport located in 2-3 km, Supermarket Pepito - 1 km, Kuta beach 10 min driving, German beach 5 min walking. You can also rent a motorbike in the hotel. The price is fair. We had the room with air-co and big bad. There was no hot water, but it doesn't matter, because the temperature of water anyway +26 +29C Mosquitoes. I have no idea how they flew in the room, but every evening you have to hunting them before you go to bad.

Staff is friendly. But this may be mostly general characteristic of Bali's people. There is also a russian speaking girl in a hotel. Main cashier is an old woman which knows english very bad. She is not so friendly. I have booked and stayed for two days and thought to stay one more day. At the beginning of the third day I paid for two days and said that tomorrow I will pay for this last third day. She didn't understand what I was trying to say and addresed to me in enough robust or rough tone - you have to pay more... location. it's nearly 1km from the Kuta center where all the tourists live and all the surf spots for beginners are located. and be sure you can find even cheaper variant in center of Kuta. at least I did so. and levaed that hotel after two days of staying

Mertha Jati has green Balinesse garden, classic Balinesse architecture design. Even it is equipped with fan or Air Conditioner in the rooms, I didn't need to use them because of fresh air from the garden. The rooms are old fashioned but the beds are comfortable enough.

The staff is really friendly and can help you in your needs. It's close to the airport, when I left I hot there by foot without having to pay for a tuk tuk or taxi. Wi-fi only works in the rooms close to the reception so ask for one of those if that matters for you. Otherwise use the lobby area. The rooms are really basic so don't expect much. They were always full of Mosquitos. If it happens to you as it happened to me to have noisy neighbors You'd better take with you some ear plugs otherwise you'll be forced to listen to everything
