Didn't mind not having air conditioning (there were only fans), but the rooms were uncomfortably hot at times. Also, the shower head was positioned far too low (even for short little me), but this is just a note, not a complaint.
The eco feel of the hotel really appealed to us, and it was situated away from the crazy, tourist-filled beaches like Jimaran or Kuta. The private beach was beautiful (although too dangerous to swim in because of the rocks) and the infinity pool was a delight to return to in the evening, after a day in the sun, sea and heat. The breakfast was always good (loved the Balinese coffee!) and the staff, especially Dina who tended to us, was very friendly. Our bathroom towels were taken out to be aired daily, or changed for fresh. Mosquito tablets and machines are provided, as is an insecticide spray, although neither were needed. We hired a scooter which was much cheaper than the taxi rides, and allowed us to discover pretty much all of the Bukit peninsula. Overall, a super little retreat in a super location.
