It was hard to fault anything.
I enjoy wine with my meal but was really disappointed that I had to pay so much for even the cheapest bottle of wine, the price of which was always in excess of the combined food bill for my wife and myself.I appreciate there is a high tax on wine in Bali but reduction of your margins would be appreciated. You would be no worse off because you would sell more wine.
The attitude of recepcionist while handling family visitor and the roomrate for the room is unreasonable price especially for family visitor with kids under 12 years old. Please be carefull if you had plan to stay in Mulia with your kids.
Very awesome interior. Great food with the buffet The Cafe restaurant. Staff manners are greatly professional
Garden view room was not really garden view. We look right straight to a construction area (very awful view) but finally the manager moved us to a better room. I highly evaluated their reaction. In room wifi is provided freely for member guests which is a great idea for nurturing loyalty The only thing i didnt like is check in and check out speed was very slow
Staff were excellent, bed was very comfortable, great fitness centre with yoga and classes included, the grounds were immaculate and design of the hotel stunning with lots of glass panelling used. Great beach location which is great for ocean swimming or sunset walks and really good sized swim up bar and never a shortage of sun beds both in the shade and sun (very comfy too!)
I felt I like I was at a luxury resort in Dubai more than Bali, it certainly doesnt have the traditional tropical feel as the gardens are still developing and arent as vast as those at other resorts, the design is also more start/modern, still stunning, but not Balinese, which Im sure isnt an issue for most, and i did get used to it. The only other comment is that none of the swimming pools are deep enough, there they are always very warm, not that refreshing from the heat, however it does allow you to linger at the swim up bar into the evening. The ocean provides a more refreshing dip :)
Full of rule
The welcoming staff
Just about everything.
No power point or enough hanging racks for towels in bathroom, love the toilets but feel it is not necessary to have the heater on. Also some more Balinese music playing around the resort would be great.
Hospitality, food, beach, facility
for the first time the smell of the room is not good, because using dirty mop
scenery, customer service, room, automatic toilet seat - excellent.
Pricy. For the price that we pay, "fresh" juice is not even served in breakfast.
Weak mobile phone signals
Excellent hotel with direct access to the beach. Plus, breakfast is a MUST and the pools are amazing.
The whole luxury might be a bit too much, specially if you look around and see people living poorly while you enjoy a 5 star hotel.
The resort itself is just stunning, it really is luxurious. The staff are the most attentive and friendly people. We were having dinner in one of the restaurants and it was quite cold because of the AC. The next thing we knew our waiter had brought us heated shawls. Then he noticed my friends handbag on the ground. A stool for her bag miraculously appeared and a silk cover was placed over it. Basically, they brought you what you needed before you even thought to ask. I've stayed at a lot of luxury hotels around the world and The Mulia was truly exceptional, made that way by the aesthetic of the grounds, the beautiful pools and private beach and the second to none service.
The only draw back was the unexpected $600 USD they froze on my card for a security deposit when I checked in. I only stayed for 2.5 nights and that seemed excessive as it was more than our total room rate. It was probably more that they didn't mention the deposit at anytime during my booking process. Not really a big deal but if you're someone who is travelling on more of a budget its something to consider as it takes 14 working days for the deposit to unfreeze in your account.
THE OPTION OF POOLS AND RESTAURANTS. WONDERFUL EQUIPMENT AND STAFF IN GYM. DELICIOUS FOOD. VERY FRIENDLY STAFF.
Location,the room,the beach,the pool,the view
The rate is too expensive and with that price and must pay for using Sauna facility,is really unfair
This is clean hotel, and all staff are well behave, food quality good, if only for rest this hotel is good. Toilet is world class.
Far from Bali city for pure vegetarian person little difficult, currency exchange rate is higher.
Property, beach, restaurant staff
Check in staff, overall inflexible mindset
Right on beach front with every facility you could ever imaginably want available.
If you like to leave a resort and eat out there is a 10 minute taxi ride involved as a minimum. Not walkable !
I like how the staffs at the beach side were so helpful in finding me a good location to see the sea
There was a snob reception when i was checking out. Her name is Anita. I was trying to speak with her in bahasa indonesia as i know that she is also indonesian but she kept on replying me in english. She "promoted" herself as someone who wass graduated in canada yet was born in jakarta.if she neglected her own origin, why would she works in our country and neglected our language... And there was a ceremony held near the hotel until 11pm where the noise was so loud and disturbing
Amazing property, great staff, wonderful rooms.
It seemed there was a staff member observing me every time I turned a corner. It was overbearing. Check in and out took too long.
If you love a huge 5 star resort type place you will love this place. Very relaxing and the staff are great! The best food I have ever had came from the Sky Bar and Soleil. Pools pools pools everywhere, you will not have trouble finding you're own personal little area by one of their pools.
If you are wanting to see the "real" Bali, this is not the place for you. I would suggest that you go to Seminyak or Ubud for that. So many rules!
Superb restaurants and service Confort and kindness
The pool area was truly amazing lying on sun lounges in the water overlooking the beach always plenty of chairs and also lots of shade. They have a big pool bar for cocktails and lunch at good prices. And the staff were incredible so friendly and willing to help at any time.
The only thing is that is a bit far from Kuta but if you just want to relax it has everything.
it was too windy to use umbrellas by the pool and too hot to sit for long because of this. The umbrellas need to be anchored down like the st regis next door who at the same time were using their umbrellas. We felt a bit ripped off.
I am warning you all, if you stay at Mulia you will have a problem staying at any other hotels after! They will spoil you and you can never enjoy other hotels after. It is not fair to give this hotel 5 star only. I never experienced such a wonderful service before, and I tried them all. The beach, the pool(s), the Kids club, the kids pool, the restaurants, the view from room, the room, the bed, the sofa bed, the bath room, housekeeping, in room dining, laundry, you name it, everything was extra fine. The most important is the staff and the way they take care of you and how they handle your requests, AMAZING! We tried to extend our stay for two more weeks and change all our vacation plans, but unfortunately the airline reservations didn't help. Me, my wife and my two kids (3y & 5y) didn't want to leave. My regards to the management and all the staff, we spent a week that we can never forget. THANK YOU :-)
