Hotel Nikko Jakarta  

Staff excellent. Luxurious room and perfect location.

The spa didn't work. The jacuzzi was empty, we could only use the swimming pool what was great but outdoor breathing contaminated Jakarta air.

The location is great and pool facility is nice.

Before booking this hotel I read quite a few reviews saying the this one should be more of a 4 star hotel. I thought that perhaps people are just a bit picky and went ahead and booked. Unfortunately I think that this hotel does not deserve 5 stars. As I arrived the bedding was not clean and after calling the hotel staff 3 times I went down to the reception twice before they managed to change the bedding. This is an absolute basic need when I go to a 5 star hotel. Mistakes can happen but when they do the hotel staff should sort it out immediately and not take about 1 hour, three phone calls and two visits....

Good location, near embassies and shopping centers.

Besides the staffs being friendly and helpful, I just love the location which is right smack in Jakarta shopping haven.

With other things being above average to excellent, I just feel that my room was a bit cramp. If I knew that the rooms facing Jalan Sudirman was bigger I might just opt for those rooms. Yes it was a cozy room but small...

Room service good. Utilities int the room good. Super location.

Guests have to wait too long at the reception. We had to wait long for pay the bill at the restaurant.

On one night, I was woken up becasue too much noise was coming through the locked adjoining door. I lost about one hour's sleep and rang up reception to ask them to call the occupants. Not sure anything was done so I had to bang on the door and ask the two occupants to speak more quietly. They were just shouting aloud rather than talking. Having an adjoining door is not good if this event occurs.

Entrance and Lobby area was nice

The room was not ready even at 3:00PM. Had to wait for 45 minutes until the room was ready The bathroom was not cleaned properly. The bottom of the shower curtain looked horrible and unwashed for months The bathroom and bedroom was seperated by a glass window, but the window covering had black patches here and there, and it was not a plesant site to look at from the bedroom Except the people in the lobby the english of the staff was very poor The people in the Spa could not properly explain what they were offering

Reference: Rm no 811./Arrival date: 01/10/2011/Departure date: 03/10/2011 My privacy was invaded and security compromised during my recent stay. Being a frequent lone woman business traveller,location, privacy & security are my priorities when selecting a hotel. Abt an hour after I checked in, the room door was knocked. I was resting on bed, hence took me some time to get properly dressed to open the door. As I reached the door to unlock,I was shocked that the door was already ajar slightly, opened by a male staff in white shirt. He apologised for opening the door and explained that he needs to check the inventory. He did not do so after I verified that I just checked in. . My question to the mgt are:- 1) Is there no communication between depts that guest just checked-in and why the need to check inventory so soon? 2) More important, why is there no chain/latched at door to prevent any unwanted & unexpected entrance? I have been thinking of being loyal to Nikko after 3 stays as it topped my choice for a business hotel. But if this not addressed appropriately, I will activate this lapse to Singapore Tourism Board and warn my other female comrades who frequently travel to Jakarta. Pls reply soonest. A very nice hotel well situated in Jakarta Centre. Staff very obliging and Hotel kept in very good order and very clean. Will Recommend to all very good place to stay and very good security. Very good Breakfast Buffet
