The staff in the front desk was very nice and helpful. The villa with a private swimming pool is amazing. Also the beach.
The staff in the restaurant wasn't kind nor helpful.
- The hotel is really nice and quiet. - Our villa with swimming pool was also very very good. - I totally recommend this hotel to everyone who wants to have a quiet stay in Lombok in a pretty nice hotel.
- The internet connection by Wifi n the room was very bad, it did not work most of the time (we complained but they could not sort it out). - The restaurants are quite expensive and there are not other options around the hotel to go instead. - The smell of one of the showers in the room was unbearable (at least there were two)
Staff at the front desk very unhelpful. No ironing facilities, expect guest to spend extra money just to have their clothes ironed. food cost very overpriced. its a very nice property...however the front desk staff really spoiled everything.
Beautiful beach, friendly personnel and nice bungalows. Very relaxing and quiet place.
High prices both on accomondation, food and drinks.
Stayed at novotel in september for one night only stop over for our sons wedding so we didn't have time to enjoy the hotel or it's beautiful surroundings as we were only there really to sleep that night and have breakfast in the morning then leave again by 8 am , from what we did see of the hotel it was absolutely beautiful we were very disappointed we couldn't stay longer to enjoy it . The only negative was we were disappointed the price we paid on line for hotel, breakfast was extra if you want it included in your deal all the other hotels we have stayed at during our stay in Indonesia breakfast has been included in the room rate of hotel and they haven't been as expensive as novotel
Drink and food prices were expensive at hotel
The way you could relax all day with no dramas. Peaceful
How the locals are constantly hassling you all day why relaxing on the beach. It should be monitored a tad more as some tourists may get really annoyed with this eventually.
All the staff were super friendly and helpful. The beds were amazing, and the grounds are so well maintained. It was a very relaxed and luxury experience.
I think the breakfast buffet could be a more modern, it is a bit 1990's. The only thing we didn't like was when our Indonesian friends came over to say hello, they were told they had to pay rp. 50.000 each if they stayed more than 10 minutes and the attendant stood there till they left. Even when we told them that they would not use the pool or anything. They just wanted to come and chat. We found that very unfriendly.
We love the rooms and the overall hotel concept. Calm and peaceful with great friendly staffs greeting us each time we passby. Lovely beach.
The sellers by the beach always come towards us to sell their stuff altho we already told them we are not interested. The variety of foods is limited.
Comfortable bed Good selection of TV channels Air con reasonably effective - but noisy Room service food was ok Staff were helpful
Soulless atmosphere and ambiance throughout. Pool area - very dated Beach - poor quality Functional - not special. Hotel was visibly quite empty but was refused an upgrade for honeymoon Lights stay on around TV at night - staff had to manually switch them off Dining and drinks far too expensive Neighbourhood not particularly nice
at the beginning we reserve a room, but it was without window and we felt oppressed so we upgraded to a villa with private pool and it was absolutely wonderful!
the swimming pool is too small
Amazing view, staff, beds, tranquility, infrastructure
Smell when opening shower, no snorkelling (nothing to see)
Close to the beach, quite.
Food, drinks over priced. Private villa dirty. Food very average.
Really beautiful and traditional buildings. Gorgeous gardens and statues. Pools pretty but small
The food in both restaurants was of poor quality and expensive. It was around the price of eating out I'm Australia which would be ok if the quality was the same. You need to hire a scooter to get around otherwise you will be stuck at the resort. Very boring looking kids club which was really disappointing as it was the reason we chose the Novotel as the website advertised program for 6-12 year olds but there was none of that.
The rooms were great. After spending a few fews days in the heart of Kuta not being woken up at 4am was awesome.
Service was abysmal. Place shuts down at 10:30pm Common pools were very ordinary
The beach next to the hotel was amazing, the pools were also very nice and there wa plenty of things to do
Taking into account the prices in Indonesia , and even more in Lombok, the price is a little bit too much
Hotel rooms and additional facilities are outstanding, especially the private villages.
The Vue restaurant doesn't live up to expectations (cuisine should be more sophisticated, especially for a French hotel/restaurant).
Wonderful room, wonderful structure
Too far from the city centre, the private beach is not nice
Bungalow - lovely, spacious room and bathroom Swimming pool Variety of places to relax/sunbathe
restaurant (expensive but uninspiring) beach (not a great swimming beach) cost of room distance from town and fair priced and good restaurants/bars beach towel mentality - leaving beach towels on chairs to secure them all day
Nice private villa with swimming pool. We love the garden, the quality of the equipment and the friendliness of the staff.
Great hotel but the price of every extra (drinks, dinner, transfer to airport, scooter rent, trips) is incredibly high (2 or 4 times more expensive than in Kuta beach !!!). The hotel management should consider this I the pricing strategy, because people are not ready to pay 660,000Rp for a dinner for 2 people (buffet at spice market) when the most expensive dinner in Kuta beach cannot reach 350,000Rp...
The staff were friendly and apologetic for the mix ups. The pool is lovely and it is convenient having the bar, scuba and surf schools nearby. We also hired bikes from Novotel which was an easy process.
We had paid for an extra bed, and had to ask each day for the extra towel, water and robe but every day something was missing. On arrival the bed wasn't set up and we had to wait for it to be assembled. We asked for a discount as a result but the management was inflexible.
The superior room was large, fairly clean (there was an ants nest in our shower on day one but it was fine aside from that) and the bed was very comfortable. The lunch menu was quite good and Kuta itself is a beautiful and fascinating place.
The hawkers. No exaggeration, by midday everyday there were 20+ of them on the beach (bearing in mind the beach is meant to be private!) and despite me asking them to leave us alone, speaking to the hotel security and hotel management, we were still hassled all day everyday. It made sitting on what should be a beautiful beach a stressful and unpleasant experience. To describe the beach as private is a wild misrepresentation. With the exception of the main barman, the staff were awful; we found them to be lazy and disinterested throughout - particularly the restaurant staff. The evening buffet was a farce, we arrived at the buffet 45 minutes after it had started and there was next to no food left and we were told no more was coming (fortunately we received a refund). The pool area is very small and during our time there was constantly overrun with screaming kids. Despite it being the only non-budget option in Kuta, I still wouldn't recommend the hotel to anyone and would much rather go budget to avoid going back next time round.
Location on beach
The food was really bad. The fried Udon at the Spice market restaurant was nothing more than fried instant noodles with a full load of salt, inedible.
Comfort... 5 min with motorbike from kuta center.
Too expensive, no soul resort, again; too overpriced! So many things around... warungs, guest houses... and so on... this is not Kuta!
Friendly staffs, spacious room, close to airport (around 20min). The resort was quiet, peaceful & well appointed. Loved being on the beach front with the nice view. I like how the resort uses the local Sasak building style. Nice pools.
Poor quality of wifi, pricey restaurant with standard taste of food, slow service, the sea is just nice on the pictures, to flat and you sink in the sand (under water), Bit far away from village and the also salespeople on the beach
The hotel was clean modern comfortable
The area was quite isolated so had a driver every day to go to surf and restaurants Daughter got food poisioning first meal there and was sick for 5 days with tummy problems and cramps and he runs ! left a day early due to her being sick but wasn't offered any refund or compensation for the loss of night tariff! Disappointed
