1) shared swimming is clean and reasonably big. 2) Own breakfast is ok. Choices of restaurants available within walking distance. 3) friendly staff. quick response.
1) Wifi not stable. 2) restaurant is a bit pricey than neighbors'.
The location was very nice but because Amed is very hilly you needed transport to go anywhere. The pool shared with 1 other villa was very relaxing. Staff very friendly.
Our villa was VERY noisy. Ours was near the road and you could hear everything. We could hear the motorbikes zooming past late at night and again early in the morning. The villas run up a hill so best to get one of the bigger villas closer to the water. Lots of mosquitos so take fly spray with you
Fantastic View from the Villa over the sea
Traffic noise wakes you up very early, The Wifi didn't work. The beach consist of huge rocks
Food in the restaurant was good, but took a long time to cook. We were in a one bedroom villa sharing a pool with one other villa. Aircon was great, and needed due to the heat in Amed. The staff organised our snorkelling day trips which was useful. Small supermarket was less than 5 mins walk away.
staff could be more attentive. Bathroom had an open roof which wasn't good due to the mozzies.
The staff are incredibly kind and will go out of their way to make your stay comfortable. 5 minute walk to the town with a sandy beach and many restaurants to chose from. Stunning view of the ocean and gardens from your villa. We were upgraded to a villa with a private pool which was gorgeous and worth the few extra dollars, Ask to eat at an organic restaurant called Harmony where the family grows their own vegetables. The owner will drive you there for free. Owner available to make arrangement for any day trips, drivers, snorkeling etc .
Rocky beach and couldn't really swim /walk along the beach.
5 steps to the pool! 30 steps to the ocean for some great snorkelling!!!
Wifi could have been a bit stronger, and should fix the pool lights.
Friendly staff, good services!
Facilities are good, view and amenities are fantastic
The location. the amount of time and money you will spend on transport to anywhere is not worth it. it is even more than the amount you will be willing to spend on. 600k rupis to and fro everywhere. Full day can even hit 1.5mil.
I think for Amed it was a good place. Amed is quite basic in comparison to Ubud or Kuta. The place was roomy and the bed was very comfortable. It looked really nice and the netting around the bed was great!
The Villa's are not very private, your neighbors can walk past you in the pool if you were thinking it might have been that kind of private. The room smelt really badly of mold because of the A/C on 24/7. The windows don't have block out curtains to the light floods in at 6am, if that doesn't wake you up then the roosters will (not specifically a negative if you're an early riser). Their wifi didn't work. they get a poor connection where they are. the outdoor shower and toilet was a bit odd, you felt like the people behind you could see in if they were on their balcony. It was a bit frustrating that they didn't have the little things like shampoo and conditioner / shower caps / soap bars etc. they just had a pump bottle of hand sop to wash with which didn't really do the trick. Also the hot water lasted for 5mins then that was it. if you've got bad knees or ankles then don't stay here. There are very big inclines and lots of stairs. I had an ankle injury and it was a bit tough getting around. Breakfast was very basic. The restaurant didn't have many options for dinner either. Especially for vegitarians (which we are). It wasn't bad, but i don't think i'd stay there again. I'd forgo the "privacy" and take a smaller room for more comfort and amenities. Oh and you can't have any food in the house. An animal came into the villa during the night and ate through (unopened) packets of food we had. i heard it on my nightstand then it made it's way down stairs!
