The Payogan Villa Resort and Spa  

The grounds were phenomenal. Felt like I was in another era. Stayed in the duplex villa-the rooms were large and grand-the bathrooms also. The private pool and the view was simply beautiful. Would definitely stay here again-great value for money. The breakfast buffet was good. The main pool was lovely too. Staff was very helpful and came very quickly whenever you phoned for anything.

Stayed in the duplex villa-there was no enclosed lounge area. The downstairs bathroom smelled like mildew which was easily fixed by burning the incense sticks in the bathroom and the air conditioner started dripping a lot of water. The free shuttle to town only goes a few times a day so we had to get taxis everytime but cheap anyway so didnt really matter. Bit far out -about a 7-10 min drive to Ubud centre.

The staff were very friendly and helpful and the stunning traditional architecture all set in a majestic tranquil scenery was wonderful.

Only negatives was the garden and paths were in need of some upgrading and food average. A ten minute stay out of Ubu, so no able to walk into town.

Excellent hotel very good for honeymoon Do not mess it

Very well kept grounds and excellent staff. The villas are on the side of a river gorge overlooking the valley and rice fields. It is cut into the surrounding forest.

The place needs some key upgrades to the facility which is aging in some ways. The shower/bath fixtures need replacing. There was painting that needed to be finished in the room. The television reception was very poor and there is no internet access in the rooms, you have to walk up the hill to the lobby for internet. I would recommend tyhe place to others if the price is right but the location and above mentioned issues bring the value into question.

My Husband and I stayed 5 nights at the Payogan and had a wonderful time. The staff were very friendly and very helpful. The food was lovely and we had room service on several occasions. Over all the room was comfortable and our private pool was amazing we would reccommend the Payogan to friends and family.

The only problem we had was with a faulty air conditioner that was leaking even after we contacted the maintenance people, the room had a slightly mouldy smell which we burnt incence to cover. When we arrived at our room the path was covered with rotting fruit which was left there for a full day before it was cleaned up, the smell wasn't very pleasant but was cleaned up by the next morning.

The location in the mountains,10 mins from centre of ubud,cleanliness of room,grounds beautiful ,

Restaurant is not value for money overpriced,difficult to get a decision from staff,

I like the peace and quietness of hotel.

I didn't like the slopes which is tired to climb. Also. at night, it is too quiet and dark.

Staff were excellent; location stunning; room exceptional. Good location to visit the master carvers and silver and gold smiths.

At first we thought it too far out of Ubud but after visiting Ubud for the first time in ten years, we were glad to be away from it. It was an appalling experience and we never want to go back; they have ruined what was so charming and wonderful about it.

I enjoyed staying there being able to relax and feel safe to be there..we got upgraded to the pool villa!!

Nothing major except that the some of the staffs didnt upkeep the cleaniness outside the villa..

The "outdoor" bathroom is an amazing experience, the beautiful marble like sunken bath with open outlook to the forrest makes for a very enjoyable experience.

Breakfast was very basic and the menu did not change over our 3 day stay. Staff were initially very slow to act on requests made but this could be put down to the general atmosphere of the place and possible language barriers.

绿色环抱中的酒店，酒店的美景让我们直接取消了第二天的诸个景点，舒舒服服地在酒店待着。别墅中的游泳池面- 对群山，露天的洗手间也非常棒。

可惜泳池边的灯坏了好几个，让晚上想在泳池边喝酒的哥们几个有点失望。

Excelente hotel en medio de la vegetación.

Wer sich vor Insekten, diversen Kleintieren und Froeschen ekelt sollte das Payogan nicht besuchen. Fuer mich ist es eine paradiesische "Insel". Abends wird man von den Froeschen in den Schlaf gequackt, dazu rufen die Geckos, am Morgen wird man vom Kraehen der Haehne geweckt. Ueberall gibt es wunderbare Pflanzen wie riesige Farne, Blueten, Teiche und wunderbare Baeume. Es ist kein Auto zu sehen oder zu hoeren. Wenn man die Natur liebt, dann ist man hier an der richtigen Adresse. Auch die Einrichtung und Ausstattung des Hotels ist sehr geschmackvoll, grosse Himmelbetten, Privatpool. Sehr freundliches hilfsbereites Personal. Beleuchtung im Zimmer koennte besser sein.
