Far from noisy cities (for someone who wants to recover from kuta) Amazing to fall askeep hearing the sound of ocean Beautiful landscape Good price No tv in the room!!! Amazing
May be restaurant is not that good, but menu is quite big and you can easely choose. There is no another one close anyway
Place, local spiri
Excellent resort. Not crowded. Beautiful garden. Nice atmosphere. I strongly recommend it.
Far away from the airport. Strong waves in the sea, but of course it is not the hotel's fault.
Trips are a bit of a rip off. The snorkeling trip was quite a long drive and only one hour of snorkeling. Wifi is slow and to log in isn't always easy/possible.
The location right by the ocean was superb. The quiet beaches, coconut trees and cows were a reminder of Kuta two decades or more ago!! The staff were most attentive. I loved watching the balinese dance practise and the evening buffet with entertainment was a highlight with a lovely inclusive community feel. Highly recommended for complete rest with great facilities, a beautiful pool, yoga room, quiet beach walks, safe sandy beach swimming and of course surfing at Medewi a few minutes away.
Food was wonderful. Outlook to the ocean really lovely. Very relaxing.
A little on the quiet side.
Perfect setting, beautiful property.
The flies in the dining area.
The location is good for those that are looking for a quiet place. The swimming pool are is very good. Room clean, comfortable bed.
The food wasn't so good, specially the breakfast. The tea tasted terrible. The beach is quiet, but not "friendly". The sand is dark, the sea is dangerous around, lots of stone. Better to walk around with clothes - the locals are not used to see people in swim clothes...
Location, location, location.... Miles of a beautiful beach with practically no one around
Amazing ocean view from our room & the peacefulness of the resort, very relaxing
Great location, great staff (12 years old 23 of the original 28 staff still work there) peaceful relaxing good food (not huge meals)
that we had to leave
Peaceful and relaxed atmosphere directly on the beach
Insects and lizards inside the rooms
This is a fabulous get-away place in the most beautiful part of the south west of Bali. As private as it gets, with undeveloped beaches to walk on, pristine landscapes, friendly staff and quiet. "Cottages" are more like mini-villas,spaced well so you feel like you are there alone. I attended a yoga class which was wonderful, overlooking the surf. Food is excellent. Everywhere you sit is breathtaking.
Spa treatments were not up to the standard of Puri Dajuma, but the ladies were lovely. This is definitely more of a couple place, so was not as comfortable as a single person.
Staff was amazing!! Beautiful resort great beach!
Seeing the local fisherman taking their boats out to sea whilst laying in a hammock watching the sun go down. If you're a surfer, like fishing or just want to relax and enjoy the ocean view and have nothing else to do, then this is perfect.
The lack of night time entertainment meant that my daughter and I played cards all night as the wi-fi was down whist we were there. Luckily they had DVD's at the resort and we had a lap top so we watched a few movies. The food was very average and we found no other options in the surrounding village.
what should we say? one of the best places we discovered so far in bali (2nd time now) everything was great.
there is nothing... if they offered a seafood bbq, all our dreams would have been fulfilled
Top location, this must be one of the best places on earth to relax and enjoy nature. With a good price/quality balance that is. Great views and marvellous sunsets. Staff are friendly but the food do not much more than ok. Far away from any village so you can spend your time in absolute seclusion but that also means you have to eat and drink on site always. Bear in mind to take 3 hours to get to and from Denpasar airport. Top wifi throughout the resort!
Food could be with more real taste. Prices are quite high for Indonesian standards. Must be due to the lack of any competition as the nearest village is half an hour away.
Amazing beach with waves you can actually swim in and a length of clean/beautiful beach to walk. Overall, the resort had a lovely feel-- more authentic than in the south, more secluded, but with lots of activities for those who'd like to do more than the beach and the pool.
Only one restaurant was open while we were there which got a little boring. Massages were fine, but not great.
We loved everything!!! This is a precious jewel, out of the crowdy and noisy touristic places. Surrounded by the 'real' Bali, it offers everything and more that we were expecting. Warm and friendly people, good service, excellent views and amenities... We are more than happy! We will come back!
One of the nicest places to stay on Bali. The adjacent beach has smal native fishing bbots going out in the morning and returning at dusk.
Much higher price than last time I stayed here.
We had a beautiful large room with views over the shore, set amid lush gardens. The swimming pool was lovely. Stylish accessories in the bathroom gave a feeling of luxury. The bed was large and comfortable.
We had to leave early in the morning, before breakfast time, and no offer of a breakfast box or similar was made. Our evening meal was extremely disappointing. Although the setting is lovely, the rijstaffel for 2 left us hungry, the selection was uninspiring and the taste bland. As the hotel is remote, they have a captive clientele, as there is no other eating place near. It was a case of style taking preference over substance. There are many steps, and well spaced rooms, which would be extremely difficult for disabled guests.
Big cottage immersed in a beautifull tropical garden - it gives the impression to be alone in the hotel. A lot of space for three persons with an additional bed. A large bedroom with outdoor cold shower and device to dry swimsuits etc. Very smiling, helpfull and efficient staff, calmness and tranquility in the hotel even if it is full. Various menu in the restaurant. Empty big beaches around and no local people sticking with their sales. Good prices for very relaxing spa. The hotel offers a lot of excursions and activities, free boards for bodysurf - it's funny if you don't forget the water shoes. There some small stones in water, no corals. The hotel does the free transport for the surfing spot Medewi which you can attempt also by foot via the beach (you can rent boards there). You can take surfing lessons just in the hotel and rent a board - good waves for beginners on the beach next to the hotel, safe surfing. Beautifull sunset which you can enjoy lying on deckchairs along the beach on the green grass...
It's possibile to find limitations anywhere but I won't do it for this beautifull hotel. For us everything was good. You have to do a long way to go from the airport to the hotel but it's worth for this little paradise for very acceptable budget. If smb doesn't like the brown/black sand and waves in the sea, this is not their place. There is no a vast buffet of culinary for big eaters also. No marry crowd, discos and no places to spent a fun evening outside the hotel. No television in the room for the TV funs... Some suggestions for management: 1) to see how to limit smells when staff cooking fish in the kitchen 2) to find ripe pineapples and melon 3) to heat a little the water in the outdoors shower 4) may be is it possible to ask local people to clean up their debris from the beach just next to the hotel 5) to offer traditional foot-massage in the spa
The landscape and closeness to the beach was amazing. Definitely the place to go to relax
Not much to do unless you take a tour somewhere
The location was very private. The pool was very nice and has a nice view over the sea. Also the staff was very friendly and helpfull.
The prices of the food was relatively high. Also at the time we were there they did not have everything that was on the menu..
