Quiet location, privacy, wonderfully positioned infinity pools facing the ayung valley, sound of the rushing waters of the river below, excellent choice for breakfast, friendly and attentive staff
Air-conditioning in the villa we stayed in was struggling to keep the room cool. Would've been perfect if it had a stronger blower or if the bedroom had a ceiling fan installed. Other than that, nothing to dislike at all!
excellent staff relax and quiet beds comfortable privacy of the swimming pool spa
no extra facilities for kids no gym insect control was poo in one of booked villas (114B)
The villas has good service and very friendly people, and it also provided some surprises for our honeymoon. We live in a very pleasant!
Everything about this resort is just perfect. The staff could not do enough to help us, our butler especially was phenomenal in helping us to plan activities and organise our time. The food was fantastic, especially the breakfasts and the location was just right. Far enough from the city centre to not be too loud and close enough so as not to be a long journey. The villa itself was beautiful and the view breathtaking. It will certainly be an adjustment not being able to wake up to that view every day.
There was absolutely nothing that I could fault Puri Wulandari on.
Fantastic peaceful location opposite forest, excellent facilities lovely bathroom and pool
Found staff ,whilst attentive and friendly ,did not pass on messages appeared to be lack of hand over so having to repeat requests /queries to different staff members Food did not live up to rest of standards of 4 star hotel and breakfast average
This place is a gem! Couldn't have had a better experience. We wish we could have stayed longer.
The atmuspher and the beauty of the forest
I did not like the masqutio bites which was very unusual and lasted over two weeks in my body
From the moment you arrive you will love Wulandari, nothing but sheer perfection in everything you see and everything they offer,, I will certainly stay longer next time and soak up this incredible place.
Having to leave :(
Everything was perfect and up to expectations. The location and the villas were ideal.
The restaurant for evening meals was not up to standard. Pity, because the restaurant setting is beautiful. However, breakfast which we had delivered to our villa every morning was very good. Abundance of restaurants nearby did not make it a big minus.
The location, the view, the nature of the wonderful forest , the taste of the breakfast especially the bakery. A guy named Rudy was really so helpful..
Some of the staff were a bit pushy in offering their help in organizing our trip.
Service as great and personal
Pool villa had large outside living area and decent size pool with fabulous views across the valley. Nice garden areas around resort. Villa cleaned twice daily and done when we were not there to a good standard. Plenty of water provided without extra charge. Staff helpful and pleasant. Loved the outdoor and indoor shower areas. Very large bathroom. Good choice of pillows - one soft and one firm for each person. Fresh flowers and fruit each day. Main pool is spectacular. Shuttle bus drivers were pleasant, had good English and were able to converse easily.
Prices of restaurant and in room dining. We would have eaten there more if prices were a little more reasonable. Some of the staff taking in room dining orders could have more training with English - at times it was difficult to explain if different things were needed. Massages and spa prices are also too expense. I would go to Ubud for massages and eating. I think it would be better if shuttle bus did two stops - one at the Palace and one at Monkey Forrest because there can be a lot of walking involved with only one stop. Most of the other large hotels have 2 pick up stops.
I spent days searching for the perfect hotel in Ubud and I can say that Puri Wulandari exceeded each and every expectation that we had. From the moment that we arrived we were treated lik VIP and the attention to detail was second to none. The villa was spotless clean and very private with absolutely breathtaking views to the jungle. We are very seasoned travellers and we have stay in many nice hotels in Indonesia and Malaysia but this was just something special, away from the noise, the crowds and everything. I think that this hotel is the perfect choice for a luxury getaway and it is also great value for money. We had lunch in the villa and it was beautifully presented and the price tag was more than acceptable for a hotel of this category. I really felt that the stuff did everything to make our stay memorable and you could just feel the warm hospitality from each and every member of the staff. I would highly recommend to anyone this place as it is just a little piece of paradise and it has a very private atmosphere, nothing like a big chain hotel, here you will feel like you are the only guest and you will be able to relax and enjoy your holiday in privacy.
Nothing, you have to be extremely picky to find anything negative about this place
The staff especially Rudy
Everything was wonderful!
Beautiful jungle location. Villas are high quality and the service is outstanding
Friendly staff, excellent service. Fantastic private swimming pool. Good view of Ubud forest.
My husband and I started our honeymoon at puri wulandari and we were completely spoilt. Our villa was amazing with a sunken bath which wa sometimes filled with fresh roses. The view from our villa was breathtaking and our infinity pool looked out over to nothing but the jungle. It really was a magical place. The staff were also fantastic, so attentive and nothing was too much trouble. They also surprised my husband with a midnight birthday cake when we arrived back from dinner as they knew we had been celebrating his birthday. Overall a truly amazing holiday, one which we will never forget thanks to puri wulandari
The villa was lovely and responsiveness of staff to requests was great. The view fromthe villa was lovely.
The 'butler' was arrogant and unhelpful. Far below what I expect of a five star hotel in Bali. All other hotels Ihave stayed in in Bali are much friendlier.
Staff and cleanses
I'm a travel agent and decided to give this place a try without advising them of my occupation. They Exceeded all of my expectations. The staff were impeccable, the property was private, romantic, quiet and stunning. We called to make a reservation and asked for a romantic table and boy did they deliver. Expensive but worth every penny and some. So impressed.
There were large ants outside the room but something that cant be helped with such surroundings. They put a smoke up to kill them and it does help for a bit.
Good spa experience Staff generaly friendly Private pool - best part The villas are quite spacious The hotel gave a birthday cake which was a nice touch
Bed sheets had stains. The hotel lacks any real ambience and atmosphere. The rooms are not overly private so other guests can quite easily look in. Whilst the villas are roomy, they are getting dated and the whole place could do with an upgrade. Very few guests eat there at night and we never saw one person in the bar. You really need to go into the town itself (15-20 minute drive). We ended up hiring our own driver the whole time so we could be flexible and not have to adhere to the hotel's limited shuttle runs. The staff were often quite intrusive about asking us what we were doing each day and why. It was a little disconcerting. We needed to change villas twice. The first villa was located at the bottom of the hill (very remote from the main part) and having a running toilet and the second villa the aircon didn't work and neither did wifi. The third one we moved into was ok but that toilet ran too. We were over moving by then so put up with it. The staff were apologetic but we had to ask for them to compensate us. We were given a complimentary 1 hour massage each.
We loved the decoration on the outside of our villa - this was because we were on our honeymoon. We were spoilt the whole time by all of the staff while we were at Puri Wulandari. The villa was wonderfully private and having our own pool meant we were able to really relax and enjoy our time together.
The cost of having laundry done
View was fantastic, lovely pool and room. Friendly staff
The staff were a little pushy regarding the rafting which we were apparently signed up for despite not even agreeing to go, but happily canceled when the mistake was discovered. Also the food and massages were a bit expensive, all listed in American dollars...also next time we'd to have breakfast in our room to avoid other loud guests yelling at each other and listening to music on their cell phones in the restaurant
