We were very happy with Rama Beach Resort. It was value for money. Tranquil and lush gardens were an oasis after a hard day's shopping. We given an upgrade to a garden villa. The hospitality, facilities, food, cleanliness, great staff and beautiful pool added to a memorable stay. It is only a couple of minutes walk to the beach; there are small supermarkets nearby and a 5 minute walk to a Commonwealth cashpoint. The style is traditional Balinese, which is what we wanted. We can have modern in any hotel in Australia. It is walking distance to Waterbom Park, Discovery Centre and Kuta Square. Trips are organised from the hotel at a reasonable price. The chefs are excellent - would recommend ribs, chicken curry and deserts. There are other hotels that offer more facilities for younger kids but as we were out most of the day, we wouldn't have used them anyway. Will definitely recommend and would stay again in a heartbeat.

We book the superior room and were lucky to be upgraded to their superior pool room, which meant we had our own private plunge pool. The hotel grounds are beautiful, the main pool area & pool was great. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Our bathroom was a bit smelly.

The room was nice and comfortable, the staff really excellent, kind and ready to help. The breakfast is good and the swimming pool with garden were beautiful. Quiet position, would recommend if you stay in kuta and want comfort out of the chaos. Internet connection is deadly expansive and the quality is really poor! Four times per hour compared than the average you can find outside the hotel with better connection facilities. The beach is 200mt away. The security at the gate a bit too pushy in asking where do you go or where have you been!

The swimming pool was great, the staff were very helpful, they stored our luggage for us whilst we went on a trip to the islands. We were going to eat in the restaurant by the pool which looked like a nice setting but they had some musicians playing and the singing was not good and we didn't fel we could sit through that for a meal. I had previously stayed in Seminyak and actualy found that the hotels and restaurants around the Rama hotel had more expensive drinks than in Seminyak and the restaurants were not nearly as nice.

The hotel entrance doesn't look impressive, but the interior room and swimming pool are really impressive - 5 stars quality. The hotel gave us a free upgrade from superior room to Premium Deluxe room (which has a huge room and bathroom). Awesome customer service ! The hotel is located within walking distance to massage centres where you can get a foot/body massage for IDR50,000 per hour - hard to find such a bargain anywhere else in Bali, definitely not in Nusa Dua. Simply divine ! No free wifi available. Free wifi will perfect the hotel package! If the hotel can provide it in the public area, but charge-able in the room, it is still better than none. Kuta beach nearby is simply very dirty, a far cry from other beaches such as Nusa Dua beach.

Fantastic hotel and and amazing value for money. On arrival we were upgraded to a Garden Villa which was wonderful. Service was first rate and far better than some 5* hotels I have stayed in. Highly recommended for both short or long stays.

The Hotel is located close to the sea, shops and bars/restaurants. Although the rooms weren't too big, the bed was huge and comfortable and the infrastructure of the room was satisfying. I can highly recommend the spa as well as the cooking class. The best massage ever at the spa. Good chef and superb recipes that can be cooked even at home (although Balinese). Despite the size of the hotel, the hotel employees are very friendly and welcoming. The water of the private pool was too chilly. Hardly one tv channel was properly playing a programme.

The hotel was a relaxing sanctuary, in contrast to the bustle on the streets of Kuta. The gardens were lovely, tropical with pretty water features throughout. Having breakfast in the open sided restaurant surrounded by fish ponds and colourful plants was a good way to begin the day. The evening entertainment in the restaurant, a guitar duo, along with the addition of a musician who was a hotel guest, gave a lovely atmosphere. We missed the Balinese dancing as we left that evening, but would have attended this dinner and show. My young teenage children enjoyed the pool area, probably one of the highlights of the holiday for them. All staff were relaxed and friendly, happy to oblige when requests were made, but not "in your face". The was quite a lot of noise during the day from renovations/upgrading of facilities taking place at the hotel. Roof tiles were being replaced on our building a few rooms along. Also there was hammering and banging either in the room next door, or close by, on one morning. We were not bothered excessively by this as we were out and about mostly.

Happy & Friendly staff was the best feature of this hotel. The pool area is pleasant. The name "Rama Beach Resort" can give the false impression that it is located right on the beach. But in fact it s about 150 metre's along the street to the beach, and a further couple of hundred metre's to what you could call a nice part of the beach. It's about 20-25 mins brisk walk to Kuta square. Being close to the the airport means there is an element of aircraft noise sometimes.

Good location and polite staff. Break fast buffet should have more varities of fruits & cereal with veg dish choice.Nothing must be left opened as there were mosqitos flying around open items. Toilet should have water spray system in place of tissue paper.

Excellent service great staff and fasciliities No Pool bar. Would love to have come back but unfortunetly never will come back to your country again - Why ? because your airport officials are corrupt and demaned bribes for the smallest of things, had to pay $500.00 to allow us to enter the country because my friends passport was one week past the 6 months prior to expiry date "what a joke" many people back in Australia have similar stories - also the harrassment by airport helpers for tips and harrasment on the streets by people wanting to sell you something.

We stayed in the pool villa. The private pool was fantastic. Cheap food and drinks. Excellent staff. The bed was sooooooo hard! The location is not central but a cheap taxi ride is no problem. The in house spa services were very expensive.
