Ramayana Resort and Spa  

I have stayed in Ramayana Resort for my last nite in Bali. It is strategically situated in the centre of Kuta. It's the most convenient and addordable hotel I find. Breakfast spread in the hotel is very good. It's walking distance to the beach and a lot of shopping area. It's in between Discovery Mall and Kuta Square. Very convenient. Kuta beach is right behind about 5-10mins walk. Just opp the hotel is a row of shop houses where you can get souvenirs and a 24hr convenient store just right below the hotel. The room is very comfortable especially the bed as it's extremely high and thick mattress. We simply love it !

I was quite annoyed at one of the hotel staff (whom I forgotten to note the name). She wanted to get my credit card for payment. I told her that I have made my payment throught Booking.com. She insisted that I have only paid a deposit to Booking.com and she now has to get my credit to make full payment. I was reluctant to give it to her and ask her why do I have to pay again. She explained to me the same thing again impatiently. I just ask her to check. She check with someone beside her in Behasa and she let out a loud "OH" ! So I ask her again so do you still need my card ? She said she will check and went into the back room came out without explaining or even apologising to me and let another lady handle my check in. I find that this is rude of her. However, she is just one black sheep I guess. I will still recommend this hotel to the rest.

Pool area was nice an outside bar area. Central location was excellent. Room was quiet. The Stadium Bar was close for drinks, food & sport. Pleasant staff.

Breakfast was not the best - fairly basic. We paid for Executive Floor but got room with twin beds for $774. We asked for room with queen bed and were moved to Deluxe Floor which we could have got for about $150 less. We did not get any refund though.

Nice design, beautiful gardens, spacious rooms, good beds.

The hotel is noisy. The sports bar showing bigscreen events continuously is one of the reasons, but also staff call out to each other loudly in the corridors in the morning. Reception is chaotic and unresponsive, although there were exceptions. By observation, it is mostly the male staff that underachieve in these ways. The internet connection is good when there are not too many users accessing; over the weekend, getting an IP address from the wireless was next to impossible.

Everything, nice interior, clean, great place

I have stayed previously in this hotel and have enjoyed the location and the staff. The rooms are good and the poolside facility is adequate.

I thought the buffet breakfast could have been better. There was no herbal tea available and the cooked breakfast (ie bacon and eggs etc) was not very high quality.

Nice spot, friendly staff, good food.

Beds were too hard, the toilet that was near the pool side bar was a bit smelly.

Relaxing place despite its busy location near the beach. Love the ambient and surroundings with green plants and trees. We are married for 11 years now and still feel in our honeymoon when staying in Ramayana. Breakfast was great. Friendly staff around. Check in and Check out was done in just a minute. Overall great service.

The bed is huge but having the annoying squeaky sound even just to sit on it or move around. Wifi in the room level 6 was not working that day so had to wifi at the lobby. Should have water pipe to wash in toilet (near the toilet seat). Have many channels on tv, but should include axn or Movie Channel like hbo.. Love the fashion tv channel very much though..

The service from staff was second to none from beginning to end. When asked the manager was able to grant us an up-graded room and free afternoon tea. The rooms although a little small for two singles was comfortable, clean and well set-up.

Restricted channels on the T.V. didn't allow us to watch certain sports such as cricket and soccer. The breakfast leaves a little to be desired andthey certainly don't know how to cook bacon.

Hotel is well located, close to the beach. The beach though is filthy in this part of Bali and the surrounding area is full off hawkers and Backpacker Aussies. Hotel's facilities are limited but well kept, service is good. I think Ramayana is a good option for travellers who are using this spot as a base. Nothing much to do at the hotel itself except a good massage. Hope this helps

Beware of Bed Bugs though- my cousins got an upgrade owing to the same- but the thought is horrifc. Food wasnt that great. They charged my card the full tarrif 3 days before check in which goes against Booking.com's policy

Bed too high especially for kid. Breakfast not so yummy.

Staff are friendly room service, cleanliness is excellent. And more importanly the area is good. Eveything is availiable in walking distance.
