It was a charming little clean town with a beautiful view of agricultural farmland on terrace-ring carved on hills. Cool air temperature, lots of forested area; surrounded by meandering road on steep hills and down hills. Quite near, about 28 km by road, to well-known Dieng Plateau. In fact, it is better to stay in Wonosobo when one visits Dieng Plateau, as it is more tranquil and much less touristy than Dieng.

Wonosobo is a nice small town set right before climbing on Dieng Plateau. Somewhat 25km from the top. surrounded by beautiful volcanos Sumbing and Sindorro. theres no much to do in wonosobo, except to have some walk around nice alun-alun there, try some food and to get a good sleep and rest before and after visiting Dieng.

Wonosobo is only 30 minutes away from Dieng and its beautiful mountains and lakes, really the nature around there is stunning! The town has a couple of nice restaurants, however not too many. It's not a touristic area at all, so everyone wants to take a picture of/with you if you're tall/white/blonde like me.
