best view of Toba Lake
- three weeks before due, they tell us to give deposits, but they didn't tell how to send deposit nor their number bank account - no cash receipt - parking space is not enough - there is no sign board from harbor to hotel - breakfast is bad, tastes and cleanliness - staff has no smile - room smelly
Our bed was comfortable. Non of the rooms have air-con but it was fine, it was cool anyway!
Breakfast - it was rubbish. Rice was not cooked properly and it was tasteless. Everything on the breakfast menu was horrible. Staff - Not well mannered.
The property is located right by the lake with most rooms enjoying views of the lake.
The bedlinen smelled and felt damp. The bathroom was not clean. The room was too large with no design aesthetics and bad furniture. We got a room right at the bottom level immediately by the lake and were woken up very early by the jet skis. At night we couldn't sleep because of the loud partying by other guests at the lanai next to the room. The breakfast buffet is a joke. The overall service- either too friendly by some personnel, or too rude by others.
Nice architecture and good view of the lake from the room.
Room facilities very basic, no kettle, no coffee & tea in the room, no hair dryer, no fridge, no fan, no air-cond, only one ceiling down light and provide only two bottles of mineral water for the 2 nights stay, management appear to be either cutting cost or stingy?.
Good scenery of Lake Toba, Clean place with good amenities i.e. swimming pool etc, Helpful staff,
Some rooms have no air conditioned. Thus, can be a bit uncomfortable a night, that's all.
Nice people and lovely location. Thank you Mr Bloom for transport arrangement.
Flight of stairs and aircon next door making a lot of noise from night till morning. Irritating! Can't sleep and no fan included.
Staff - pleasant Spacious room
Dirty & poor condition of toilets. Poor breakfast spread.
Centrally located in Tuk Tuk and right by the shore line. Two swimming pools (though there's a board so you dive into the lake). Plenty of seating areas to sit by and relax and have a beer. Used the Gym but only the multi-gym (could do with some free weights).
Bathroom's shoddy and need an overhaul (no hot-water from basin tap) but are ok for a shower from the bath (no shower curtain)! Booked a Deluxe Room (no AC and no room safe which were stated) and had to buy mosquito spray from shop round the corner (could have done with a fan).
Perhaps the view although most of the hotel at Samosir Island do have the same lake view.
- Over price room with only 3 star standard - WIfi only available at lobby area - The room look old & the water heater not function well - Extra 3% are charge if pay via credit card which does not mention during booking
The staff were very friendly and extremely helpful. The public areas were very beautiful and well maintained. Plenty of places to go if you wanted personal space
The last day our room wasn't cleaned, also one day it rained profusely and there was a hole in our roof
Lighting not enough, Facilities bit old
We have a rubbery there. The hotel was not safe and they dont have any safty box in the rooms. The rooms was not clean. The behavior of their staff was poor and rud.
Love the view from the room. Enjoy sitting on the balcony of the room watching the sunset and admiring the Lake Toba
I simply love t ambience. So very breathtaking. T resort is superb looking with 2 beautiful pools to chill out. T distance , roads n travelling was a real let down. 6 hours fm t airport was tiring. V stayed at t 2 room presidential suite. T service was poor. V had to request for towels, toilet papers, cup, tea bags, sugar etc... It was not replenished t next day. V stayed 3 nights.T service did not match up for t price tat v paid. But t surrounding beauty matched up for it. Some staffs were friendly n willing to help. Overall i njoyed my stay.
T room was hot during t day as only 1 room had air con. No fan. T cleaning staffs were in t pool wit their clothes on. Yucks... v did not use tat pool. T bfast buffet was t worst i hv seen. Room service horrible. U guys need to train ur staffs on hospitality n provide good room service or most of ur customers might not come bc for a 2nd visit. I wldnt ....
We stayed in 2 Family rooms, it looks 2-storey house . Rooms was "fine" but A thousand times I would like to say "the VIEW" was "PERFECT"
Breakfast was very poor
The food was okay, and the location and look of the outside areas.
The room was not well maintained, toilet leaked, asked for the room to be cleaned and a quick sweep was all it got. Breakfast variety was poor and unable to order anything else though there was a breakfast menu.
Lake View and Food
Although resort has a lot of potential (location, nice pool) it wasn't realized yet (see points we didn't like). However one staff member Likky was compensating a lot by helping us out!
Fruit at breakfast was already finished at 9AM, needed to ask for laundry 3 times, many ants in room and room was not cleaned until we asked for it
Nice location. Excellent view
I stay in family suite and there is no aircon AND fans. Room is tear down and dirty. Lots of kids around, very noisy. Can get peace and quite there. Very lousy experience.
clean rooms, helpfull staff
Many rooms look straight out to the lake. It is the closest to perfect serenity one can wake up to. The restaurant is adequate if you pick the right dishes. We found the chicken soup (more like soto ayam) good and the grilled lake toba fish our repeated choices. As the resort was adding rooms so the newer rooms while more modern, were still missing a few items, such as phone line and there was noise during the day as workers were building. The reception manager Pak Padi speaks good English and his team received guests when we alighted the ferry directly at the banks for the resort. We were also offered a newer larger room when we checked in. For us though, the view and access to the lake really made up for everything.
Some lack of professionalism of service, such as forget to refurnish water after cleaning room. Twice our new room had no running water and we needed to run down to ask for this to remedied a few times, as we did not have a phone line in our room. No safe in the room and the doors to the balcony and main door looked a bit flimsy so if someone really wanted to kick it down they could.
alot of lizards! there is only fried rice and fried beehoon for breakfast.
The place looked great, clean, and modern. However...
I never got to stay, as Samosir did not receive my reservation and also indicated they were full. As a result, Samosir sent me to their sister hotel.
With such beautiful scenery, I wish the staff got a smile on their faces to put up the rainbow to otherwise a great weekend
