The staff.. Wauw. And we weren't the only guests with that opinion. They where snarky, tried to make you overpay and just weren't at the least helpful or kind. Overcharge for free wifi, no clean bathrooms, service during breakfast was utterly bad, especially towards our neighbours.
The ultimate moment? We'd forgotten our towel the morning we checked out. So later that afternoon we came back, just before going to the temple in Uluwatu. We were all dirty because it was a hot day. So when I picked up the towel I asked the lady if she still had a room and how much that would cost. She said they had still rooms and they were 300.000 rp. So I asked if, for a payment of 100.000 rp we could only use the shower for 20mins. (I explained that we had just checked out earlier and that we didn't think it was proper to go to a temple the way we looked, and smelled...)
At first she said no, so I explained her she could make 1/3rd of the price for the room in 20 minutes. Okay, she said. We could shower next to the pool, but for free. I thought it was a it strange but kind, so we hopped under the shower.
Two minutes after that she brought another lady and started yelling?? The other lady asked if we were guests, so while showering I explained again, and told that the lady said it was OK. The older lady started yelling and cussing, screaming that when we checked out our transaction was done and we needed to get out. Like uhmm... Wait what?
Not very friendly folk..
The breakfast and the juices, plus the garden!
