Nice pool, nice location, good restaurante and lovely staff
The pool is good, location is really close to Uluwatu Beach (5min walking) and with the motorbike is 5 min to Padang Padang as well. Wifi is okay.
Staff is not friendly at all. Make us feel very uncomfortable everytime we need to ask something to them. Always looking at us like we were not welcome. Very different from all other places that we stayed in Bali. Kitchen closes at 9pm but one day we wanted to eat at 8:45pm, was raining a lot and no chance to go out, and they said no. I don't recommend people to stay there because of the staff. Not all of them, but specially the woman at the front desk.
The location is very good.
the room is ugly, no air conditioning in the room and Bali is very hot, they dont do the housekeeping daily, does not have much choice for breakfast, has gecko inside the room, the bathroom tap water has smell of sewage, the shower is very weak and not hot water option.
Close to Uluwatu surfing, 5 minutes walk. Quite area, no road noise. Would stay there again with A/C room. Nice breakfast in morning.
Staff not engaging at all with guests or in general information. Problem with our room and safe keys.
The comfy bed and the surrounding of the cottages and villa. The second floor villa room can view the sea from far away.
Reaching here by taxi and going out from here is very expensive. Some of the staff didn't understand english.
Pool, the photos don't do it justice
Staff were unfriendly, rude, suspicious and unhelpful
1. Walking distance from Padang . 2. Great sea views 3. Fantastic pool. 4. Offer large menu of food. 5. Beautiful room.
1. Nothing...can't complain.
Nice pool and it's not a long walk to the suluban beach also near padang padang beach with motorbike. The outdoor bathroom.
Very poor breakfast, we had to pay extra to get somthing more to get full. Lots of mosquitos.
The breakfast and the juices, plus the garden!
The staff.. Wauw. And we weren't the only guests with that opinion. They where snarky, tried to make you overpay and just weren't at the least helpful or kind. Overcharge for free wifi, no clean bathrooms, service during breakfast was utterly bad, especially towards our neighbours. The ultimate moment? We'd forgotten our towel the morning we checked out. So later that afternoon we came back, just before going to the temple in Uluwatu. We were all dirty because it was a hot day. So when I picked up the towel I asked the lady if she still had a room and how much that would cost. She said they had still rooms and they were 300.000 rp. So I asked if, for a payment of 100.000 rp we could only use the shower for 20mins. (I explained that we had just checked out earlier and that we didn't think it was proper to go to a temple the way we looked, and smelled...) At first she said no, so I explained her she could make 1/3rd of the price for the room in 20 minutes. Okay, she said. We could shower next to the pool, but for free. I thought it was a it strange but kind, so we hopped under the shower. Two minutes after that she brought another lady and started yelling?? The other lady asked if we were guests, so while showering I explained again, and told that the lady said it was OK. The older lady started yelling and cussing, screaming that when we checked out our transaction was done and we needed to get out. Like uhmm... Wait what? Not very friendly folk..
Good breakfast and nice location, I have stayed here many times.. Family feel to the place which is excellent. Steve
stay on 28 and 29th Sept, the front desk lady on duty quite poor behavior, seem like not welcome you.
Walking distance to Uluwatu beach
The pool was lovely and the hotel grounds small and quaint. Great location, walking distance to uluwatu beach. Large rooms with AC.
Rooms were a bit run down but, fine considering the value.
Second time at mas cottages. The rooms are really nice and cheap. The pool is amazing. The wifi works a little.
The only thing that makes i dont recommend this hotel is the staff. Everything is more expensive and the people there are rude! Really really rude!
-Environment (lobby, restaurant) -Location : 10min to Uluwatu Beach and 2kms to Temple -Pool (water could be more clean) -Private terrace - Air con in room - Good food - Kids of owner (?) friendly
- bedroom is not like other building (seems old, not really clean) - the bathroom ... outside! Toilet + sink + shower outside. Go to toilet with mosquitos on night. Get cold with you cold shower - Cold shower
The quiet, the pool. I ordered a tuna salad for lunch and it was the best I've ever had. 5 mins away from Suluban / Uluwatu beach village on the cliff. Easily walk there down the steps
Loud frog at night outside room 1 haha, nah nothing really. The frog added to the lovely surroundings
Awesome place to stay, safe. Friendly safe, good food, nice rooms, cool garden and pool area. Surfer or non surfer, you gotta stay here
Really nice and clean hotel. Ideal location if you are looking for somewhere a little quieter than Padang Padang. Perfect for Uluwatu surf break, only a 2 minute walk down the road. 10 minute scooter drive to Padang Padang and another 5 minutes to Bingin Beach. 5 minutes to Uluwatu Temple. Staff are good and friendly, breakfast is small but nice and all you need. Pool is also small but nice and all you need as beaches are not far away. Ii highly recommend as it is really good value for money!
Shower did not have warm water. Bedroom was not cleaned everyday but this did not bother us.
Friendly staff, close to beach
Very nice pool with good sunbeds. Close to the beach! Breakfast was okay. Decent wifi for Indonesia. Room was nice. Good price/quality ratio!
Staff needs to be more friendly. They looked grumpy most of the time and if we asked for a sandwich at lunch time they told us that she was just finished cleaning the kitchen and looked frustrated, but we got the sandwich :)
They r the friendliest ppl and transport scotters easy to hire. So close to everything. See u soon guys xox
very nice pool, food well priced, wifi actually worked in rooms, neat cottages with outside bathroom, no hot water but not an issue for us.
Stained sheets on one of the twin beds and staff could not understand my request to change sheets, we found this staff member a bit unfriendly during our stay.
A bit far away from downtown, but excellent surroundings, close to best surf spots, blue point beach, patang patang and dreamland beach all with 20 min motor bike ride.
Hotel towel not too clean...
Not a lot, swimming pool was ok. Close to Uluwatu beach but no sand there ! Just restaurant and surf spot !!
The staff was unwelcome, not smily. The sheet was dirty and smelly. I ask for changed it and I discovered a moldy pillow. Cold water, toilet one step, bad wifi connection. Breakfast very poor (one drink, one food). Can find much better for this price. I stay one night and run away
Nice pool, nice bathrooms.
This hotel had, by far, the worst staff I've ever encountered. The facilities were nice, the pool was awesome, a little pricier than the places to stay in the area but it was expected. But I can't even get past the staff.. Definitely ruined the whole stay for us (only 1 night thank goodness.) We tried smiling in spite of the snickers, rude comments, attitude, and overall unwelcomed feeling they gave us. We saw a young couple come in while we were eating breakfast to ask if they had any rooms. The old woman (Laura?) said loudly "no online booking no available" and turned them away. So out of curiosity we looked online.. "3 rooms available". I'm not sure what was up with that. There were many times I was standing at the counter trying to pay for breakfast / ask a question and I was either ignored for 10 + minutes while staff walked by or ignored while the lady 1 foot in front of me played on her phone. I actually said at one point "I can come back if this is a bad time for you?" I'm surprised people still come here. There are other nice places in the area, and do yourself a favor, choose somewhere else to stay. My fiancé and I are very polite, respectable, and kind especially to staff since I've worked in the service industry for nearly a decade, and have never ever had an experience like this before. I never by any means expect any particular treatment when staying at somebody's property, but for goodness sakes you're running an establishment. 0/10 from me.
