Provided breakfast - although many choices - no thought for health of patrons - as a vegetarian, I struggled to find a decent variety - vegetables are obviously not a high priority on this Chef's idea of provisioning food - not once was there any celery, little showing of broccoli, cauliflower any of the vegetables freely available at street restaurants - [whom were only too willing to provide healthy meals] - even to make a sandwich - big chunky lettus pieces and tomatoes[no knife to deal with this], no onion, occasional cabbage, plenty of grated carrot. Anything remotely vegetarian was - I suspect - prepared using meat stock - far tooooo much tempe in everything slightly vegetarian - I thought very lazy - the chef informed me he had previously worked at the Meridian group of overpriced Hotels - hence, no inclination toward providing to the client as much of this preparation was to impress - high flyers[???] - many of the people staying at the same time as us were quite a bit older[seniors - 50 - 70 year age group] a time when we are careful of what we eat - too many boiled sausages, meat and gravy dishes - not to mention gluggy rice and the deep fried choice of 'hash browns' or 'triangle potatoes'[aka hash browns - just smaller and still full of grease]
Due to the Greediness and Lack of Due Diligence on the behalf of the Owners of this once lovely resort - the place has fallen into decay - failing septic system, poorly maintained rooms, villas/cottages - and more than overpriced.
Great location, great NEW Manager[only 4 months in job] - Staff are excellent, bed very comfortable including an abundance of pillows, tea and coffee facilities, bathroom products
