A cozy retreat awaits guests at Pajar House Ubud, an 8-minute drive from downtown Ubud. Landscaped gardens decorate the entire property, which blends Balinese-style architecture with modern interiors....
Score from 310 reviews Excellent
A 10-minute walk from Monkey Forest, the Sapu Lidi Resort Spa and Gallery features an outdoor infinity pool with a deck overlooking the rice fields.
Score from 332 reviews Good
Duana's Homestay is centrally located in Ubud, just 8 minutes' walk from Ubud Art Market and Ubud Palace. The value-for-money rooms come with garden views and free Wi-Fi.

Surrounded by large expanses of paddy fields, peaceful retreats await in the quiet environs of Bliss Bungalow.

The concept of linking the resort with the school to help underprivileged teenagers, learn all aspects of the hospitality industry. Beautiful, friendly staff, who could not do enough for you. Highly recommended.
Need non slip mats for the outdoor floor areas, particularly during the wet season.
The staff and the pool!
A little bit far from the center to go on foot.
Lovely resort, nice people. Good food
Was quite far out of the town
- everything apart from location
- far from everything you need to take cabs
The staff and grounds were excellent. Breakfast good.
There was an unpleasant smell in the bathroom and to eat at the restaurant was very expensive with a very limited menu.
stuff were yourng but very nice and facilities were very good
its far away from the Ubud center so every time you have to use morning shuttle bus or pay for a taxi. Besides for the whole stay I have not seen any adult, the hotel is run by teenagers from the next door school so you have to have patience as they are still learning.
it was a very nice place to stay at. Quiet, green and big. It was awesome to escape from the noisy, busy streets within few minutes drive. The pool was great and breakfast was very good.
unfortunately the bathroom was without a window so it was very smelly. This is the only negative thing to mention.
Perfect serene location. Lovely breakfast. Great pools and lovely staff
This places offers so much but you miss things due to not knowing. Some final touches on services they have, informing guests in events they have and small extra things they can do would make this place hard to beat. Love to show them how....
- nicely decorated garden - the room was clean - breakfast was very good, you could choose from many things, the omlette was made in front of your eyes - staff was very friendly and helpful - pool - interesting attractions
- broken lock in the bathroom - location could be better

Location hotel not in centre ubud
The pool is definitely the highlight of this place, though my partner got badly burnt staying out in the sun with no cream on... The food was quite good, especially the spring rolls. We also saw a dance show eating typical Indonesian food. We didn't opt for breakfast but regretted it as we were told the buffet was very tasty (incl bacon sausages etc). Free 15 min massage was nice. Three free shuttles going to town every day.
The drain smell in the bathroom was really bad. The location is a bit remote from the centre but we had a scooter so not a real issue. Don't take a tour as it is 3 times what you ll pay in ubud centre. Spa treatments were 50% off but still way overpriced compared to ubud centre. No wifi in the rooms.
The staff and the food was amazing. We were Always greeted with a smile. The location was perfect for some peace and quite and the free shuttles into town made it easy to enjoy all that ubud had to offer.
I don't really have anything bad to say about this place.
- very big area & beautiful green garden around - young engaged & polite staff - varios small animals outside :) (lizards, frogs & a bat)
- smell from air con - (only sometimes) stuff's English lacks when speaking about extra wishes
breakfast staff location
Very nice resort with nice facilities in beautiful surroundings. I love the concept of giving the tourism students of the school next door a chance of practicing and gaining skills. Pool is good, massage, spa, dancing spectacles, cocktails bar...lots of things to enjoy. I will be back
The staff there very friendly, their service very good, resort location very quite and close to nature..
The bed of the room need to change, sound of the spring quite noisy
The staff are mostly students who are given an opportunity to learn and develop a career in hospitality. Their passion, energy and smiles are a pleasure to witness. The property blends tradition with modern day with older buildings (villas) and a more up to date hotel. The complex has 2 very nice pools, a restaurant, spa facilities and free yoga classes daily. The grounds are soothing to walk through and the rice fields surrounding the property are magnificent. This is a real value for money experience whilst enjoying the opportunity to help young Balinese kids make a career out of normally limited opportunities. Definitely worth staying here.
Nothing really. It is a little out of town but there are free regular shuttles into Ubud, and the peace and tranquility far override this factor.
The grounds are beautiful and the common spaces encourage you to never be isolated in your room.
There was confusion and mix-ups multiple times. Because the staff is entirely children, it made it difficult to ensure that your communication was clear. For example, I had pre-paid for breakfast for my entire month stay but nearly everyday the staff at the restaurant would bring me a bill and I would have to reexplain that it was already taken care of. A few other little things like that happened. This is a great place to stay for a few days but not a full month if you're planning an extended stay in Ubud.
The double room we had was good Staff was nice and helpful
The twin room are outdated and we didn't have hot water Bathroom didn't have a really nice smell Wifi didn't work in the room
The staff is great, you will be helping a foundation during your stay, as the staff is composed also by students. The resort is really comfortable and the restaurant serves nice food and juices for a reasonable price compared to August in Ubud ;-)
Watch out it's located in the outskirts, you may need to catch their free shuttle or arrange transport to go to Ubud.
Location is opposite a very good wood carver of fish that I buy off. Like the quieter location 5min drive away from bustle of Ubud and backs onto rice fields. Also is training school for staff learning hospitality. Young staff very friendly and fun giving them a hand with advise or suggestions to help them when you can see they struggling/still learning. New pool is nice but pity it didn't have swim up bar and some shade over a corner of the pool.
Booked as had large old style rooms with rice field view, but have now built new block in front with newer but smaller rooms with less expansive views of rice fields. If I had know would have asked for old style room even though view blocked by new building. New rooms have small white stone flooring in bathroom that now appears a bit stained now, but bathroom still had good view of rice fields
Every staff member has always been very kind and friendly to all of us.
The path to the reception desk has many small steps making it hard to roll your luggages. There are way too many flies flying all around! The bathroom was too small with no window. It also smelt pretty bad to a point where even the cleaning staff left the air suction on all day long to reduce it as much as possible.
The friendliness and helpfulness of the students and staff was outstanding. Feeling safe and welcome in and around the hotel grounds. The clean spacious room, hot shower, great view Being allowed to take part in religious ceremonies was one of the highlights of my stay . The food... I loved everything about Suly Resort & Spa. .. I had an amazing time here. Thank you to every one there for making my experience just perfect :)
The room: the shower didn't work, the smell was horrible. The staff is very commercial and not helpful. The hotel is old and needs to be renovated. No WiFi in the room. Nothing to do in the direct environment.
The Fantastic garden, the quiet, the service...
