I couldn't recommend this place enough! The villa's are amazing and the staff are fantastic! We were travelling for 2 weeks and our stay at Sunset Palms was our favourite. It's a fantastic location, the breakfast was delicious and the wine was lovely and affordable.
Wonderful place to relax and enjoy the tranquility of the island! The villas correspond exactly to the images presented here. The staff was always available to make our fantastic, very attentive and friendly stay. We will forever remember the "peco juice" and the sympathy especially from the barman. Efficient in cleaning and housekeeping that was done in very little time
Since there are no restaurants nearby could have a more diverse menu. Not being the fault of the resort, lack of lighting on the shortest path to the center of the population.
We stayed in the two bedroom deluxe villa, purely as I thought more space for our two children to play. We were greeted with open arms at reception, the staff very attentive. We walked through the doors to our villa and were amazed and overwhelmed at how beautiful this place was. Living in Bali, I have stayed in many villas, this however, really raised the bar!! I would recommend the villas to families, honeymooners, couples, to all. You all have your own peace of paradise. Many thanks
Wonderful staff. The villas are a little bit of secluded paradise away from the rest of the island. Rooms were spacious, with a good size pool. If you want to relax, swim and sunbath with a bit of distance between you and the busy main strip then this place ticks all the boxes.
Found two scorpions in our room. Although quickly dealt with by staff. It's a small villa complex so the food menu is limited, my vegetarian girlfriend struggled, especially with breakfast.
Staff were very friendly and welcoming, near to the beach (quieter and cleaner side of the beach) and the sunset point, peaceful and tranquil villa
No lights along the route to the town centre. It might be slightly far from town centre (15 mins walk or take a horse carriage) but that's the trait off for getting a peaceful and beautiful villa.
Staff were friendly. Beautiful resort.
The location was terrible and when we went to change the booking to move, the owner was listening to our conversation, accused one of my friends that we couldn't stay because we couldn't afford it and then accused us of stealing the shampoo and conditioner to which we denied and then she came back with her tail in between her legs because she was wrong and then proceeded to try and give us the shampoo. Disgusting behaviour to guests!!
I was generally dissapointed with my stay here. For the money,it was a bit of a letdown, for the following reasons. It is far away from anything if you want a quick stroll. food was expensive and terrible Staff tried hard but could do with more direction. For the price I had higher expectations Had to drive past a tip to get there, and its surrounded by abandoned buildings
The staff are great and go out of their way. The location means it's quiet at night. Breakfast menu is limited but perfectly adequate.
The resort is in the north west corner of the island. Whereas this is an advantage when it comes to noise, it's a fair trek to the busier part of town. The cidomo costs about $7.50 there and about $10 home. A high step from the path up onto the main deck of villa and from outdoor bathroom to inside. Very difficult to manoeuvre for older or unfit!
double bed room set up was perfect for my friends and we. beautiful hotel
location is bit far from the center. not easy to travel around with bad road condition.
The private bungalows with swimming pools, the bathroom outside, the private garden, the relax athmosphere.
For a place where you pay around 150 euro's a night you expect a lot more. Especially as it is in Indonesia. Breakfast only two options (eggs or pancakes). Bikes, which you have to rent, because it's a long dark walk to island center, 4 euro's a day (these should be at no cost). Do not let the resort organise the trip with the boat for you. They wanted to charge us (3.000.000), we did it eventually ourselve because the email replies took very long, and arranged the same for 1.200.000. Do not let them fool you! Also staff spoke to me like"hey man i heard you wanted to snorkel, i can give it to you cheaper than the other guy". Insane. Very onproffesional place for the money you pay.
1. The private pool in our super deluxe 2BR villa, which we spent quite a great deal of time chilling by. Thankful for as Gili T's beach is over hyped and an absolute great disappointment. 2. Spacious and cosy living area where we hung out late into the night. 3. Separate bathrooms attached to each of our bedrooms, giving each couple their privacy. 4. Breakfast served to our room.
1. The bumpy ride and distance from the main stretch; each horse carriage ride is supposed to cost 75,000 rupiah for a max of 3 passengers, but we ended up paying 150,000 rupiah for 4 pax, per way. Bike rental is available, but as I am expecting while another friend can't ride very well, we ended up engaging horse carriages each time we need to get out for food, although there's (limited) food options within the resort. 2. The nearby beach, besides good for catching sunset, is not suitable for swimming as it's filled with dead corals, you can literally walk far out to sea on them, while the shore has lots of dead seaweed.
The villas are awesome
The staff (especially the manager) is inadequate, unpolite, not welcoming at all We also had problems arriving to Gili and nobody cared about us (not replied to emails, calls, not providing information...) You are in the middle of nothing and they don't care of giving you lights or indications Breakfast is poor in preparation, choice and ingredients
Everything, the place was amazing. Anything we needed organising such as tours and activities was done with no hassle and all the transport to and from the accommodation was on time and straight forward. having your own pool in such beautiful surroundings was amazing. I will be back again no doubt. Everything we left our rrom would be cleaned to a high standard. One day we spent relaxing by the pool and didn't leave till about 4pm to go to the shop. We were gone an hour and when we returned the room had been cleaned. Pancakes for breakfast are delicious :) I loved my stay here.
I think maybe the bikes should be free as we only used the bike for abit some days and still had to pay. Not that it is expensive but considering the accommodation is far from the main area you would need the bike even to pop down for stroll. Also the menu could have more variety but I couldn't fault the food, it was lovely.
Very arrogant and unfriendly Hotelmanager, Staff doesn't speaks english, horrible Food in the Restaurant, poor Breakfast, extra charge for old bikes
The service was great. Friendly, attentive, not intrusive. Villas are beautifully designed. Really lovely common areas.
Just further than we thought from the main beach front. No direct access to the beach (but it's not far).
You can tell this villa is brand new. The facilities are wonderful and the private pool in each villa is amazing. It was so relaxing to lie back amongst the palm trees in a pristine area.
Quite far from the main hub of restaurants and nightlife if you are looking to be out and about. We found it hard to get a horse to take us to and from the accommodation. A push bike is a must.
Beautiful hotel if you are looking for a luxurious quiet place. We had two bungalows with a pool, which was perfect. The rooms are very new, clean and spacious. The restaurant and the room service is very good.
The actual room and private pool was gorgeous for Gili T. It is a bit off the track though and is a little too far too walk everywhere. The staff weren't helpful but breakfasts were good and the rooms great.
The location was out of the way and the fires burning would go into the air con every morning.
Beautiful resort, good facilitites, friendly staff and good quality of food.
A bit far from beach or GT center. But since we like riding push bike,...it's a good place for stay and having exercise
Beautiful, Clean, private, and simple This is an idyllic little spot, away from the beach and main tourist area which we personally loved. The island is so small that being away from the beach it actually encourages you to explore the island. When you just want peace and quiet, your private pool and villa is perfect. From what we saw of the island, this was by far the best place!
That we were unable to stay longer
New hotel, nice and clean room.
Just 2 hairdriers for the whole place. A bit far from everything, but you can hire a bike and move around the island.
Staff were excellent, our son became unwell while we were staying at the resort, the staff were very concerned for him and very helpful when we needed to seek medical treatment. Lalu was most helpful with ferry transfers prior to arrive and arranging ferry tickets to best suit us prior to check-out. The villas were cleaned quickly and effectively each day while you had breakfast which was great as it meant that one one disturbed us for the rest of the day. Overall a lovely experience that I would recommend
Flies in the dinning room, could do with a fly zipper and could do with a rubbish bin by the fridge so we didn't have to go to the bathroom each time to tidy up daily rubbish.
staff was nice. rooms were really lovely and we loved our own yard and swimming pool. the pool is big, you can actually swim in it. also the bathroom was really nice, a little bit different. drinks were the same price as in bars/stores around. they brought drinks and food/breakfast to your room by request. food was good and drinks were awesome. food prices are also good, only the menu for the day was a bit pricy. beach all around, if you want you dont have to leave your room at all, beach is just walk away. they give a lamp with the bike rents as the roads are dark, no street lights on the way, took about 15 mins to bike to "centre". wi-fi worked well in our room.
bike rent, it should be included to the price as the accommondation is fairly expensive and far away from everything.
Amazing hôtel , beautiful bedrooms, calm, serenity. 10 mn in bike or taxi from thé center but its Worst it. Thanks to the manager Who was lovely.
The grounds are beautifully built right into the coconut grove. The villas are elegant and the outdoor bathroom is magnificent. There's nothing like showering under the swaying palms and looking up at the stars! We loved having our own pool and outdoor living room. And the sand loungers are fantastically comfortable for hanging by the pool. The staff and owner Sue are equally lovely.
It is far from any action--you can either walk 15-20 minutes through the village on dusty paths (which is great to see how and where the people live) or pay for a horsecart (but we had problems getting one to cross over with all of our luggage from the boat dock.) It is near the beach for magnificent sunsets, but the beach has nothing on it but a few ratty benches and some trash, and it is confusing to get back to the hotel in the dark.
