Firstly, the address stated on Booking.com refers to the main road, and it took us 2 hours to find it.
Secondly, the contact number given by Booking.com is not attended by anyone - we tried calling the number for help, but to no avail.
Thirdly, there was no one at the private villa to attend to us. In other words, we were locked out outside.
It was fortunate that we engaged a local driver who was found the someone who knows the owner of the villa, and the staff arrived after some waiting.
Apparently, no one was expecting our arrival, hence the villa was not prepared. The staff do the necessary housekeeping while we head out for our itinerary. With the time wasted from all the inconvenience, we have to give a miss to two attractions.
The nightmare happened when we realized the hair dryer is not working with our hair wet at night, and waking up the next morning with no water supply.
The villa does not have a phone line, hence we have to use our phone to make the unnecessary calls, resulting in additional cost incurred on our phone bills.
The mosquito infestation is quite bad. We suffered many mosquito bites. We even spotted a ornament half-filled with water placed in the kitchen. We are strongly recommending the owner to have a check.
Last but not least, the wifi was cut off on our last night. Since we are checking out on the next day morning, we couldn't bother to spend another charge on our phone bills to call the staff.
It was my first trip to Bali as well as our first villa stay experience. I must say, we were very much daunted with the whole experience.
We like that the villa is away from the city. It's quiet and private. It has a beautiful pool.
