A great room and a good location and the boomerang bar out the front not part of the hotel was superb

The horrible smell eminating from the bathroom may have been a consequence of the building work going on

The staff were very friendly and helpful!

That Baleka is still small, and staff are friendly. New rooms are cleaner, and better appointed. This was my 3rd-stay ( 2000, 2007 & 2013 )

Although the rooms are better, I really preferred the older style buildings, the new 3-storey building looks too much like a hospital. I think the Baleka has lost some of its charm.

We have always stayed in Legian but were ready for a hotel change. The Baleka was cheaper than our old hotel but ten times as nice! The apartement roon we had was really lovely and very easy to live in for our two week stay.

The staff were very helpful and welcoming. The hotel is very user friendly and in a position. The breakfasts were always good. Kadek was the person who made our stay outstanding.

The pool could use an update.

The location of the hotel was ideal, and nothing was ever too much trouble for the staff, they were all very friendly and made us feel at home

I liked the open space within the closed house like strutures to give a sense of privacy n comfort full of luxury.

The Deluxe room,(which we upgraded too from superior) was spacious and well cleaned. Decent sized fridge.

Superior room we were in originally, air con didn't work and looked old and tired.

Shopping in the area was good

Climbing over a bath to shower, the bathroom smelled mouldy, which went through the room.there were no shower curtains. door repetedly came off the runner. I had mosquito bites most nights,Morning of departure my daughter whent to reception to request the use of baggage trolly only to fine two staff were asleep on the orange lounges and no help was offered to get luggage to reception. The breakfast was always cold food except for the eggs which were cooked when ordered

Bar in the swimming-pool was awesome. Pena-colada was really good. Hotel is not far from the beach.

When we arrived the superior room we booked was not availeble. With no prolems we got an upgrade to the deluxe room were we stayed for 12 days. Everybody is friendly in a true way. We were welcom. The pool is great because you can swim a longway. Everywhere it was very clean! The hotel garden is beautiful. There is a choice for everybody. The classic rooms are traditonal, peaceful at the garden. The other rooms are modern and at the pool. Breakfast was also for everybody, nasi, eggs, toast ect. The location of the hotel is perfect. To the beach it is 3 min. if you walk through the restarant Gula Gula and the Djakarta hotel. Outherwise it will take 17 min.

We liked everything but we have suggestions: the lights in the room is romantic but sometimes you need to see more! We suggest to install a light in the center of the room. The position of the airco is above the door so the cool air can not be felt in the room. We suggest to replace it closer to the bed and seats so you will benefit from the cool air.

The hotel staff were very friendly and used every opportunity to greet you every now and then. The buffet breakfast was good too, though not as diverse as a 5-star hotel, but acceptable. The hotel is located in a more suburb-area with a narrow street, but many restaurants in the nearby. Although the area is not as fancy and disciplined as Kuta area (which we happened to pass by), still it is nice and cosy and allows you to have a better feel of Balinese lifestyle.

Although the staff were generally very friendly, we came across one of the Restaurant staff (an elderly lady) who was a bit rude to us. But who knows, maybe that day wasn't her best day! On top of that, flies could be easily spotted nearby the breakfast buffet and on the restaurant tables (we came across this problem in other places in Bali too). So perhaps hotel can improve on this to ensure the hygiene of the foods served and increase customer satisfaction.
