The Dipan Resort, Villas and Spa    

Excellent breakfasts we were upgraded from a 1 bed villa to a 3 bed (although only allowed to use 2 bedrooms, the third was ceremonially locked!!), a lovely villa for 2 adults and 2 children. Villa had useful plunge pool that the kids could play in while we watched from the room/patio staff very attentive good food in the hotel restraunt

No access to beach next door to noisy building site very loud cockrel next door started crowing at 4 am, went on until 1pm! Main pool was completely shady only 2 sun-loungers at main pool for all the hotel guests!

The staff was really nice and made an extra effort. The rooms are enormous!!

The hotel is in a construction site. So a bit too expensive for what it is at the moment. I am sure when the construction is finished it will be a lovely area to stay in.

The Dipan was so good, I returned after spending a week in Ubud. The staff and villas are wonderful, with a gorgeous lagoon pool you will not want to leave. My family were all sick during our stay, and management and staff were very caring and helpful. The neighbouring spa is great for massages, and pampering. Best of all is the Dipan's location: you can walk to both Ku De Ta and Potato Head. Loved it - would definitely return to the Dipan.

The lighting in the dining room was much too bright at night. Mood lighting would be better. Buy some lamps.

We loved the free upgrade to a villa with a plunge pool. Also the breakfasts. Also guests were treated to a free three course dinner and 50% off any spa/massage. Staff were always friendly and smiling. They would go out of their way to assist you. Wonderful customer service.

The construction noise and workers traffic flow next door. Also at night the music from a club next door which could be heard into the early hours of the morning. You had to walk a distance to the beach as well. No air conditioning in the reception and restaurant areas or fans. It would sometimes become extremely hot in the restaurant to eat.

Air condition little bit loud

Excellent and friendly staff. They upgraded me and helped with all the questions (food, shopping, transport, let me use the spa for a shower as I had a late flight....). The villa was excellent; clean, tidy and functional. Had its own pool and the included bfast was also very good.

Some construction going on around the villa, but I heard very little noise or disturbance (I only mention this as when you get out of the hotel or walk to the beach, its not via some manicured lawns/paths). Not really the fault of the hotel.

The staff were very friendly. The hotel staff organized the BBQ for our group including organising 3 man musician for the nite. We had an enjoyable nite.

Water pressue in the bathroom was not adequate. As such, sometimes the water from the shower was quite small. Sometimes cannot connect to the internet.

the whole experience in the Dipan hotel was great . the staff were extremely nice and friendly . the location of the hotel is just perfect .

the only thing is the hot water in the bathroom needs to be fixed . they have low water pressure.

Nice hotel, clean room, good breakfast with a nice selection of dishes. Nice swimming pool in the main area. Hotel stuff is friendly and are willing to help with anything. Free internet, although it's too slow during mid-day.

Very expensive considering it's Bali, Indonesia. Girls who work at Spa/Beauty salon are somewhat amateurs. My girlfriend bought a manicure there, but the quality of it was really poor. She does it better herself. Quite far away from Kuta.

We were upgraded to a beautiful villa with a private pool. We were happy with everything at the hotel. Free 15 min, footmassage and half price on other massages at the hotel spa. It felt great. A wonderful breakfast was included. The staff were very friendly and serviceminded. We will highly reccomend this hotel

This resort was a remarkable memories for our trip, the villa is awesome..!! Simply love the open concept with lot of glass door & window ;) Thumb up for this resort, strongly recommended to honeymooners ;) The staff was friendly, personally greet us from the second we step out from our taxi. It warn our heart ~~

No hot water in the midnight, think something wrong with the heater which commonly happen in Bali. But the staff do apologize and offer a solution for us to shower at another room.

The staff are really friendly and always tried to help. The meals from the locale restaurant were exceptional. We did not find anything on the menu that was not palatable. We checked out at 1pm and did not need to leave for our flight until 5.15pm, we were able to leave our bags in reception and use shower facilities in the spa prior to leaving. We stayed in one room villa with private pool, there was plenty of room and it was very private. The bed was comfortable, air conditioner worked well. Good sized flat screen TV plus DVD player and free internet which we did not use as forgot to take i pad or lap top. Only a short walk to the beach which was very quiet.

The private pool is too deep ( around 6ft in shallow end) with no ladder or way to get in and out with ease, we spoke to staff about this, however ended up buying a plastic stool to put in the pool for ease of access. $4.00 well spent. We had problems with the shower as well, it was either too hot or just cold, no in between, this was a hassle, fortunately Bali weather is warm. We mentioned the shower problem to staff and at first nothing was done. After a couple of days of problems with water temp, a guy pulled the shower apart and cleaned it, this still did not fix the temp problem. Lastly, the mini fridge would not freeze ice without freezing the other contents. The Huu bar next door was quite noisy on the Saturday night, however our villa was far enough away for it not to be too disturbing. Dipan resort is away from any activity, but only around 20,000 rupiah taxi to Legian area, or 40 min walk along the beach.

I spent a marvellous stay in Dipan Resort! I booked a deluxe suite for my birthday and the staff, the suite and the location werew so perfect! The complete staff sang for me a happy birthday song it was a complete surprise ( I think they noticed it was my birthday on my passport). I just have a blast there! It was so private and relaxing! Definitely I will come back to the Dipan!

Very new and modern hotel walking distance to shopping, nightspots (potatohead, Kudeta, Hu'u) and the beach in Seminyak (Petitenget). All the staff were extremely friendly and helpful, the room was amazing and the complemetary breakfast was more than complementary. Only negative about our room was that it was the "Hu'u" room meaning it was overlooking the popular weekend venue Hu'u that plays loud music until 3am on friday and saturday nights. This wasnt a problem for us on the saturday as we joined the party free of charge (for all Dipan guests).

If you want a sound nigths sleep over the weekend make sure you are not in the "Hu'u" room otherwise go and join the party!

The position in Seminyak is very good. Close to a lot of nice place. Not far from the beach. The room are very big, nice and clean. The Spa is good. Staff are nice and smiling a lot ;)

The noise made by the bar next door... The Dipan provide some ear plug but if you have a light sleep it's not for you! I didn't have problem to fell asleep because I was too tired but the party was on my room pretty much!

Hotel staff were extremely friendly right from the start of our trip up until end, the facilities were new, very well maintained and the interior design was ideally elaborate and romantic. The pool and the general outside decor are one of the hotel's highlights. It is secluded and private whilst also being located conveniently close to the beach.

The plunge pools were warm and a good size. Free tea and coffe delivered in room when ever you wanted it. Rooms cleaned well. The drinks from the bar etc were good. We got upgraded to a 3 bedroom villa even though only booked one bedroom.

The Dipan has been built very quickly and not much care to detail. The decking was loose, the doors were difficult to shut, the bath leaked, cracked bedroom door (glass), blinds contantly fell of holder and you could shut internal door with out adjusting it, wires were visible behind bathroom mirror, bath tub taps and slate it was sitting on it moved when you lent on it. The food was very inconsistant. The first night we ordered our room service it was great, second night it was terrible. I only ate breakfast twice in a 6 night stay, it was ok but nothing great. The Dipan is ok to stay for part of your trip. We spent 6 nights out of 17 at the Dipan. Its not worth anymore then 180 per night. We stayed at the Kayu Raja after the Dipan and I loved it. Very good for 200 per night.

Upon our arrival we were greeted enthusiastically by friendly and courteous staff. All facilities were modern and immaculately presented. Food was excellent and well priced. Our one-bedroom villa was a delight, with private pool and excellent facilities. In summary, The Dipan Resort is an extremely comfortable and relaxing resort with a serene ambience, designer edge and cool, refreshing surrounds.

Loved the location and design of the rooms. Very spacious, especially the bathrooms, very nice! Staff were so friendly and the spa is gorgeous too.

A little bit small as a resort. A little bit far from the beach but walkable. Very noisy friday and saturday night due to the bar nearby.

Luxurios resort with very nice and comfortable rooms, bar and restaurant with a very good menu, ranging from burger style to fusion and asian dishes. Within walking distance to good restaurants, atm machines and money exchange, 10 min walking from Seminyak Square. Staff is lovely, very nice and helpful, they make sure that they will do all they can to make your stay the most pleasant. Absolutely no complains, they will entertain in conversation (if you like) and contribute to a very pleasant environment. The tv channels offered provide a good mix of entertainment in english, from movies to reality shows, news and documentaries. Madi, the official hotel driver will drive you around all day for only 60 $, not only he will agree with you the sightseeings and stops so that you can customise the trip according to your taste, but he will also entertain you with a nice relaxed conversation during the trip, and he also makes for a very good tour guide. The spa offers a good range of massages, with a 50% discount on full prices for the hotel residents.

Temporarily there is no direct access to the beach, due to a hotel construction site nearby, but the beach is still accessible within 500 mt. At the back of the resort there is a restaurant/night club that plays loud music until 3 am on Fridays and saturdays, it can be heard clearly from the room, not the best if you have light sleep. Also due to another construction site nearby there is occasionally building work going on at night time.

The best thing about the Dipan must be the staff who were always friendly but not obtrusive. They were quick to respond to any queries and always followed up if they couldn't respond immediately. The Dipan is well-situated, near some very good restaurants and bars, as well as shops. It is a short walk to the beach which is good for surfing and boogie boarding. There were places to eat at and rent equipment from at the beach. The rooms were large and comfortable. The beds were excellent and the bathrooms very nice. The breakfasts were exceptoinal. The menu and execution of the dishes were the standard of a 5-star hotel. There was a good choice of different types of breakfast so that one didn't get bored.

Our only discomfort was that the temperature control of the shower in the 3-room villa was not working well so that we either had water that was too cold or too hot. Also the downstairs bathroom tended to get wet when one showered becuase there was no shower stall. The bathroom upstairs as well as the suite that we later moved to when our friends left were fine.
