The location was ideal being a short walk to great shopping and restaurants. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The price was great value. The hotel is on a very busy road with constant traffic noise. Double-glazed glass doors would cut down the noise to make it easier to sleep at night.

The Vira is a small boutique hotel which exceeded our expectations. It was very good value for money with first-class facilities. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The Vira Hotel is on a very busy road and there is traffiic noise all the time. Double-glazed window doors would cut out a lot of the noise and make it easier to sleep at night.

It is a haven amid the busy madness of Kuta. The staff are happy to accommodate any wish we have. Very good value for money. We had nothing to complain about and all the other guests we met seemed equally as impressed.

Very satisfied with our choice - It was a relatively "small hotel" which enabled and gave a more personalised service by the staff, all of whom were very helpful and courteous. It was away from the crowded city noise, yet close enough to be able get to those areas after a short walk. We would be happy to stay there again ...... (1) The "Breakfast Toaster" - Did not "toast" the bread, just "warmed" the bread - Most hotels we've stayed at have this issue... (2) Some "noise" late at night with new incoming "guests" - Again, something that is really out of Vira's control...

The staff are extremely friendly and helpful, will definately be going back. We had to wait to get into our rooms & didn't have hot water for the first 2 nights. The shower in one of the rooms didn't work properly and we didn't get the welcome fruit that was supposed to be in our rooms.

The staff - from the gardeners to the waiters, security staff, and the receptionists - all were extremely helpful and incredibly friendly - also the guy outside who took us for two different tours - we have never met nicer people and they took an interest in what we were doing each day. Perhaps a nicer cup of tea in the morning - the tea wasn't made with boiling water - but that is hardly important in the scheme of things.

This is a real 4 star hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. It is the best for value for cost hotel. Its close to the Kuta beach and in Kuta where many actions take place. If you want to visit mounainous areas or Ubud, it is juat a usd 60 away and the hotel staff is happy to arrange it for you just with 10-20 min advance notice. You can visit many attractions with this arranged car which serves you a whole day.Hotel is nice, well designed, and quite. I especially would like to mention the staff who were just great and very friendly. Free airport transfer was an excellent surprize.Would like to salute the hotel staff.

The Vira Bali is at the end of a long dusty road, however, it is far enough away from the centre of the Kuta madness. Staff were very helpful, pool room was clean. I was there with a friend for a little quiet time and was disappointed at the number of families that chose this hotel - lots of children (not a bad thing but not what I was looking for), children should be and are noisy! Only other issue was the breakfast - could not get a decent cup of tea - do ask for a pot!

The staff were friendly and tried very hard to make our stay in Bali a pleasant and enjoyable time. The service was excellent and they were always watching to see how they could be of service. The room and surrounds were also beautiful. The included breakfasts had a great range of choices and was one of the highlights of the day. Staff were accomodating with use of the facilities until check-in and after check- out. This was very important since our flights did not coordinate with these times and we were able to use the pool and laze around while waiting for the time to pass. The massage was worth every ruppiah. Misunderstanding the advertising. I thought that the Superior Double or Twin Rooms meant that there was a double and a single bed in the room as it often is in Australia. When we were given single beds for my husband and I and we were upset. They were quick to deal with this and gave us a room to meet our needs which we appreciated very much not only with their promptness but also with the choice of room. Thank you Vira Bali

We enjoyed staying at the Vira Bali Hotel as the staff were very friendly and helpful especially in the restaurant. They kindly helped me take breakfast to our room most mornings and were kind and very eager to please. The shuttle bus was an excellent idea. The security staff were very friendly and helpful and kindly assisted us when needing a taxi and crossing the road. We would consider rebooking again in the future. The girls in the front reception area did not appear very friendly when we arrived early to check in. We did not feel welcome at all at first, we requested to change rooms which they did reluctanly and even though the room we were finally allocated was being cleaned at 11.30am when we arrived, they made us wait until 1.30pm with no appearance of trying to rush to accomodate us to enter the room early. As a traveller when you know the room can be made ready earlier and with no communication regarding our waiting time - the only time we were curtly given an update was when we asked and then we felt we were causing a huge inconvenience. The girls became more friendly as the days passed but our first impression was not positive.

The hotel is clean but the free wifi if weak. The breakfast spread at the cafe is good. Staff are friendly. Location is good. Walking distance to Discovery Mall and Waterbom Park. It's ideal if you want area that is away from the crowd but still considered near Kuta.
