Location was great, right on beach and main strip. Rooms are located at back of propertt so nosie from bars is minimal. Pool was ok.
Air con did no difference at all! Very hot in rooms. Area could be a little cleaner. Wifi cut out a lot.
We stayed there for 3 nights. Location, breakfast, large room and awesome staff. Thank you! :)
Staff, people very friendly
The room that i had booked was not what was given to me, the pictures were misleading on the website, did not stay here
Bar staff were friendly & hotel staff need another job Tidak Bagus!
The room was not what was seen on my booking. Com. Loud music till 5.am. Dirty & mouldy not value for money
On all the Gili's it's about being on the east side of the island near the harbour or else you're a good 30 minute walk through sand to find somewhere to eat. Tir Na Nog is exactly where you want to be. More expensive and grander places to the right of the bar with apartments at the other end of the scale to the left. This is well staffed and exactly what you'd expect from an Irish bar in south east Asia. We were only there one night but the manager remembered our names and was lovely throughout.
The rooms are clean and comfortable, good location. The one member of staff who could speak English was so lovely and helpful throughout our stay!
Can get very noisy on Sunday and Wednesday nights when the bar has it's promotional nights. Staff weren't helpful and didn't speak English with the exception of one guy referred to above (unfortunately didn't get his name)
The location of Tir Na Nog close to Gili T's restaurant/bar area was ideal. The outdoor bathroom was also kind of neat if you enjoy that sort of thing.
The room is what you would expect if you were paying $20/night elsewhere in Bali. The wheezing air conditioning can't really keep up against the heat so sleeping was a challenge. All of the furniture, lamps, and art in the room appeared to be straight out of a 70's bargain catalog. I was very disappointed.
A real disappointment! It was not worth the money at all.. Dirty rooms and not at all comfortable! It was a real disappointment for the money!
Staff are really welcoming. Rooms were really peaceful - even on Wednesday night which is when Tir Na Nog have their big party at the bar which goes on until the small hours of the morning. Make sure you ask for housekeeping. You need to leave your key at reception. Would stay here again in a heartbeat!
-friendly staff - credits to dessy and pak rizal - nice room, especially loved the open bathroom - good location - near jetty and nite hawkers' square - restaurant - nice spot on the beach with unforgettable view. Breakfast was simple but good; loved the bread - swimming pool - nice and clean Overall - happy with our stay there
Staff, payment conditions as you have to pay extra charge for credit card payment which is ridiculous for a hotel
The staff, Mohamed especially, were very friendly. Room was pretty clean, breaky not bad.
We stayed one night on a Wednesday due to a friends recommendation, unknown to us Wednesdays are their party night... Until sunrise.... We got very little sleep due to the thumping base through the walls. However, when we returned 2 nights later, it was not party night and we got some sleep. The aircon is not very powerful in the rooms, keeps it cool but not cold. The pool is small, but you are on a beautiful island so not a biggy.
Just the location
1) mosquitoes 2) worn out/old. Need to refurbished 3) water pressure very low 4) sink blocked 5) should have water tap outside and/or in the toilet to wash dirty feet 6) should provide coffee/tea or at least a kettle and cups 7) beds are wobbly 8) towels were not soft
friendly staff, very good location, great if you like a decent party!
room wasn't cleaned while we were there
The location of this hotel is great (beach front property) and close to the public harbor.
The building that I stayed on was the old one, so the room was a bit dated but still clean enough.
Position is great, staff lovely, good breakfast
$75 for a very average old style room, no refrigerator or TV. Overpriced for Asia
The man who worked at the desk (I guess he's the manager) knew everyone's name! Was in the best spot, definitely a party pub but you couldn't here anything from the rooms!
No big deal but wifi was very bad, our phones didn't work and we were trying to meet friends, but everywhere has wifi so doesn't really matter! Bed was pretty uncomfy though.
Good hotel- no need for anywhere with a pool though as beaches so lovely. Staff nice- it's in a great location.
Stayed two nights- room not cleaned/tidied. Wifi didn't work
Very good breakfast made all the more enjoyable by a staff member called Rizal he is a gem. Rizal goes above his call of duty to welcome you an make sure all guests are okay. Rizal arrange a great private boat trip for us well worth the money had a great day we would like our best wishes past on to Rizal. Room staff were all really nice and nothing was to much to help or sort a problem. Food is very good, swimming pools good to. Good atmosphere for all ages.
Would have been nice to meet and greet with Mangers at sometime during stay found this strange as we have travelled to many places and at some point a Manager came to welcome an greet guests especially in small hotels?? But all in all had a great time and will recommend to friends an book again in the future.
Great location right in the thick of of the restaurants and bars but you don't hear any noise. The rooms are a good size and comfy beds. The staff in the restaurant were great.. reception staff Ok... manager is lovely..The food in the restaurant is great and the party night on the Wednesday night is fun and like I said you don't hear any noise
Have to ask to have room cleaned and when we did they didn't change the sheets
I liked the look of the structure of the hotel, with the patio in front of every room. The stuff was nice and friendly.
The only negative aspect if the hotel for us was that it was pretty noisy with parties and music going on for most of the night. A part from that, the island was a bit disappointing, for lacking a proper beach or an easy access for swimming.
No cars, resturants right by the waters edge. The staff were friendly and helpful. A good value snorkelling trip although it's a shame there's so little coral.
Getting there and back was a mission, Bali Brio boats were hot and full and it's about 3+ hours,we got bumped onto a different boat on the way back and got off at a different location than we were expecting. No free tea or coffee in the rooms, only at breakfast. It seems to be a party island, Sunday the music and the fireworks seemed to go all night.
Location and room were good
Wifi didn't work at all Shower was sometimes cold
We stayed in a deluxe room and it was very comfortable, having our own front garden area and semi-outdoor bathroom (which is as cool as the pictures). It's set back from the road so there's a good level of privacy and we didn't have any problems with noise (either from the bars or other guests). As much as we enjoyed the simplicity of Gili T, it's still nice to have a good working air-con, cable TV etc. The shower uses solar-heated water so isn't boiling hot, nor does it need to be when you're staying in the tropics! Breakfast options are nice, bacon & eggs on toast, muesli fruit & yoghurt, french toast etc. I also recommend having a meal at the night market near the jetty, where we had the best meals of our stay. We hired bikes from Tir Na Nog and rode around most of the island (gets a bit sandy and hard-going up on the North-West coast). The staff booked us for a snorkeling trip, which was well-priced compared to some of the dive companies. Loved seeing the turtles off Gili Meno! It's an easy walk from the jetty (even with luggage) and the staff are very friendly. Highly recommended.
Wifi wasn't the best.
Location, Size of rooms/bungalows is good, clean linen on beds & nice pergolas/balconies if you wanted to sit outside. Breakfast spot right overlooking beach, menu ok too, pure orange juice and unlimited tea/coffee. Cheap cocktails & good cheap bbq/dinner menu every night. Staff were attentive when you had requests or needed something fixed.
No hot water for the majority of time and poor wifi in room ie. Facebook didn't load, emailing difficult. I'd say stay here if you're used to very basic facilities. The pool was positioned next to the rubbish dumpster and the smell was terrible from the sun lounges. The walls in bathroom had mould/moisture damage behind door & whole bathroom requires bleaching/scrubbing, and i'm not really that fussy! We still had a great time while staying here as you're generally out at the beautiful beaches every day. You can utilise other hotel pools for a minimum spend per day ie. 10AUD which we did one day.
