Horrible service from the staff at the front desk. We requested for them to make up our rooms, change the sheets and do the laundry, and they said they would but we came back and the room was no different. We still had sand in our bedsheets. In the front desk the staff were lazing around talking to each other, and barely any initiative was taken when we walked in, until we asked them questions. Additionally, we had lost our room key somehow, so we requested for a spare key. I was told by the lady a the front desk very directly that there was no spare key as it was with the housekeeping person and he/she had gone home already. In the first place, the spare key should be given back to the front desk, not with the housekeeper, for very obvious security reasons. We went backtracking to try finding our key but it was to no avail. So at around 6pm we tried requesting for a spare key again, but when we went to the front desk, not a single staff member was there. What if there was a more serious issue in the apartments and there were no staff around? Furthermore the office door was open, which meant that anyone had access to the other spare keys and the keys to the unoccupied apartment rooms, as well as all the records. In our very unsatisfied moods we walked in anyway and took all the spare-key-looking keys to try and open our door. There must have been about 20 keys that looked exactly the same as our key and the other room keys, and not a single one of them opened our door. Eventually someone noticed we had a problem, and he helped us by calling a local guy nearby who apparently keeps watch at the apartment. Even he was shocked that there was no one in the office to help us out. What we ended up doing was getting the lock broken open. They had to climb in through our open air bathroom and break the lock from inside.
The location was good, right on the main road and right next to a 24 hour mart. Bed and bathroom were decent.
