- Little flaws in the room (airco and fan not working properly)
- Little bit overpriced (laundry service, taxi service)
- Staff should put out cushions by the pool when pool opens (we had to ask after being there for 2 hours)
- The charge of 10% service fee on everything really bothered us.

The area is spectacularly beautiful however it cops a lot of rain and there can be land slides which cut road access. Our hotel (Adiwana Dara Ayu Villas) was a long way from other properties, so eating options (hotels, restaurants, local warungs) were non existent and sadly as the food in our hotel was abysmal (even the Indonesian was done badly) we skipped eating meals which diminished the pleasure of the holiday.

It is a relaxing place you can enjoy the rice terraces and crops around with this mystic that you can feel visiting the temples. Also, you can find many options to enjoy a relaxing bath in a waterfall.

I truly enjoyed walking the two of us through the village.
I truly enjoyed walking the two of us through the village. The scenery was beautiful and it was a relieve to walk in such a quiet and peaceful environment. The natural view on the side of the road was a great way to Relax and enjoy your quality time for.
We liked the architecture, beautiful garden, how we were welcomed, we where late but we still good eat something. People are very friendly and helpful.
We had a very nice massage. We took two times the service taxi to Ubud. It go’s 3 time a day and is free. We eat two times in the restaurant where we had a nice Indonesia food and the were very friendly. The resort is situated between rice fields and traditional Balinees people. If you like to hike go to the waterfall, you can do it from the resort.
We can recommend this beautiful place.
Are you looking for a hidden gem staycation location with natural nuances?
Sacred Canyon Ubud Villa, in Melinggih Village, Payangan, Gianyar, Bali could be the right choice. It's the most suitable for couples. Enjoying honeymoon, relaxing, healing, trekking, yoga retreats, and as well as Balinese "melukat" (ritual for cleaning and purifying.our body, mind, and soul).
The weather is cool. Villa surrounded by trees, plants, and the natural gurgling of river. Many choices of food and drink. Very friendly and satisfying services.
We love it! It’s amazing. They have jungle inside their property. They have canyon, holy water. And ohhh the breakfast was delicious with lots of variation on the menu from continental breakfast, american, indonesian even balinese breakfast. We also take the cycling session around the ricefield. And following the balinese tradition called ‘melukat’ to wash away negativity and to bound our love to eternity. Ahh yes, we celebrate our wedding anniversary and had a very nice romantic dinner. We will be back for sure!
The best of the best... Such a unique and pleasant stay it was no words to describe friendly staff, room amidst jungle, stream sound, property environment, pool with jungle view..... What more needed a hidden gem in ubud must stay here atleast a day when coming to ubud and thank God we stayed for 5 nights there which made our ubud trip a fantastic one they also have rental bikes so no worries about travelling too everything is perfect
It was in a beautiful setting, I had my own section of terrace beyond my patio overlooking the jungle ravine where I practiced yoga in the morning. There was also a small yoga room, and an outdoor massage room where I had the Background sound of birds to nourish my soul - the only one I could find in Bali so far! There was free transport to local spots after checkout.
Beautiful property amongst the rice fields. Pool is lovely, breakfast is very good especially the coffee! The staff are so friendly and helpful, always smiling and happy!
It is a bit of a drive to get anywhere, if you want to be away from the hustle and bustle of Ubud then this is the place for you!
The bathroom is also amazing!!
Absolut amazing place in the middle of the jungle. You can watch the monkeys from your private pool – and they watch you… Wonderful breakfast with great variety and taste. And always as extremely friendly staff talking care of you! Great experience, great place in Bali!
- The cottages are stunning with an amazing view of the rice fields
- Amazing breakfast (different kinds of eggs, toast, fruits, fruit juice, coffee, tea)
- Cheap and easy scooter rental (30 - 60 min scooter drive to Ubud)
- Close to Tegalalang rice terrace
The owners were incredible. Felt like home and I even extended for another night, 4 in total. Wayan teaches meditation with his whole heart and Emma makes a delicious breakfast. When I come back to Bali I am definitely coming here again
Everything in this villa was perfect, the house was clean, the views were amazing. Robi- the cook made us an amazing floating breakfast in the morning, Tari was superkind with us and the Balinesse massage in the evening was great.
Beautiful cooling temperature. Layback town. The breakfast in Villa Wastra is beyond words, superb delicious Balinese style congee. There are also bread with jam, cheese, fruits, milk, coffee, tea & biscuits.
The location, in a wild valley, behind a village was brilliant. It felt like a thousand miles away.
The staff tried really hard and were always pleasant.
