gili trawangan is beautiful and just the right mix between civilisation and remote island feeling. highly recommended. the villa/room was very large and comfortable. bikes are included with the stay. snorkeling is quite nice. staff is friendly. roads/pathways are in very poor condition and getting around even with the bikes is frustrating, having to hop on and off and pushing the bikes through deep sand. hence the location turned out worse than expected if you wanted choice of restaurants / minimarkets etc. getting to/from "downtown" is more a 20 to 30 minute hassle than "only a few minutes enjoyable bike ride". considering everything including off-season, the hotel wasn't exactly an excellent deal. no wifi in the rooms, just in lobby.

Ideally located - far enough from the busy centre, but close enough to still enjoy it. Great rooms.

We initially booked 2 nights but liked it so much we booked 2 additional nights. The staff is really nice, breakfast delicious, 4-5pm there is tea time with a delicious snack, the pool was great, beach also. Free beach beds, bikes to drive to the center and free towels. We loved the fact that is was a 5-10 min bike ride to the 'center', where all restaurants are. Tip for a good Italian place is Blu d'mare and a little bit more expensive but also great is Ko-Ko-Mo.

Extremely nice staff that always make you feel welcome. Very nice rooms (villas) in a cosy environment. The location is perfect if you want to stay quiet. The centre is about twenty minutes walk (bring a flashlight - it´s dark on the road) or take a horse cab. The snorkling and diving at the coral reef just outside the hotel is fantastic and dont be surprised if you see a giant turtle. We stayed for 11 days but we sure liked to stay longer...

+ Room. Spacious and light. Tv and dvd worked fine. Big bathroom. Ac was working, no complaints. + Cheerful and helpful staff, although a bit slow at a times. + Very vice garden with trees and flowers. + Bikes are free of charge for guests. - Location. It's quite far from the center part of island with restaurants and people. 45 min walking to reach the places we liked to have lunch/dinner. There are cafes closer than that, but they looked not so good for us. - Breakfast is quite poor and all the same every day (eggs, fruits, some vegs and potato, white bread for toasts, some jam). Coffee is the worst i've ever tried. - Restaurant. We tested it once and do not recommend to eat there. - Sea is very shallow and lots of sharp stones/corals. But that's mostly everywhere at Gili Trawangan. - Gym is a total shame. - Price. I can say it's overpriced. Maybe that is Gili islands thing.

Good garden. Clean territory. A bit overpriced. Breakfast is not god. Internet only in lobby. With not so good signal. Pressure of whater is very low most part of day. Location is cpecific. Hotel provides free bycicle to compensate it but there are no front lights on the bycicles. Evening time very hard to come from center of night life by bycicle. Generally Gili is a dirty island and only one reason to visit it is diving . If you are not diver better now waist your time.

Great location outside the Gili T village, away from the hustle & bustle. A bit of luxury... Just don't expect hot water, it just doesn't happen. Cold seemsto be the norm.

Room was big, clean and comfortable. Hotel was in very good condition and the free bikes were a nice touch. Hotel is right on the beach and within 10min walk from main restaurant area. Would've been nice with wifi in the rooms.

Everything! I cannot fault this hotel, after a rocky start to the holiday with other cheap hotels, I went back to my very first choice and was so glad to move over to Gili T from Gili Air and this hotel. It is not as cheap as others but in being a bit more expensive it does not attract the backpackers or rif raf.The hotel was very clean, tidy and luxurious compared to other places I saw. So many places in Gili T and Gili Air are construction sites with building works going on, for me this is the last thing I want to see on holidays, but this was not so at Villa Grasia. The rooms are huge and the best thing was having a desk as the purpose of this trip was to start writing my thesis. The location is great, peaceful and away from the village which was noisy day and night especially when the locals are obsessed with loud dance music. It was so nice to hear some balinese music in the hotel. The spa was good and massages well priced thou the govt tax pushed things up. Staff were excellent, very friendly and courteous, I especially like the afternoon tea that was free! Breakfast selection was good and fresh. Perhaps I was lucky as there were only another 4 rooms occupied the time of my stay (5 days) and therefore it was relatively peaceful. The walkway between the rooms is only a few meters so perhaps with more people it would not have been so private. The gardens are well maintained as is the whole property. There is not much of a beach but I spent a lot of time snorkeling, and if I wanted to swim, I walked with dive booties over the coral to get to the sea. Overall a wonderful holiday. The only fault is perhaps the restaurant is very over priced, I made the mistake of ordering pasta, why do so many places in Bali and Indonesia bother with western foods a good local menu would be better. There was a small cafe down the road that did a Mei goreng for half what this restaurant was charging. Best reduce the prices in the restuarant and they would have more customers.

Great facilities and fantastic service from the staff throughout our stay. Extremely spacious rooms which are very clean. Free bike hire a good touch as hotel is a 10 minute ride from main area of bars etc. Prices not inclusive of tax in restaurant menu and no WiFi in room just lobby and beach front

Friendly staff; nicely set out rooms; complementary use of bicycles ; next door to Luluwatu dive school. Salt water pool has no shaded areas so the pool gets uncomfortably hot (not refreshing) during the day. Food could be improved. The beach in front of resort is basically shallow reef so not ideal for swimming but good for snorkelling.

Thought it was a good value, clean, good location, and the staff was friendly. I liked that they had free bicycles to use. The rooms don't really have ocean views which is kind of a shame with the hotel right on the beach. Not a major con, we only used our rooms to sleep in.

Wonderfull place. Villas are new and clean. Quiet place, perfect to relax. Around 10-15 min walking to the harbour area. There you can find many restaurants and some bars with live music. Snorkling on Gili is very beautiful, and Villa Grassia is direct to the Turtle point. We saw them almost every day. Make sure you have some watershoes with you. Except in the harbour area there is much coral to go in to the water.
