Nice position for snorkelling right in front of resort. Bikes were included in stay. Very quiet.
Poor access to the main strip - particularly at night by bike due to the pathway being cut off. Minimal food option in their restaurant. Beds were very hard.
On the edge of the island With some of the best snorkeling from the beach. Outside of the range of the islam loudspeakers.
Free bikes nice staff lovely breakfast quiet location and spacious and clean room
Large rooms, clean, staff was great and helpful. Relatively quiet location. Free bikes available.
Wifi didn't work at the room. Only lobby and pool.
Beautiful views. Everything was decorated beautifully and with comfort in mind. Located just off the beach, with awesome snorkeling just outside of the hotel. Staff was friendly and accomodating. Definitely recommend.
There wasn't really anything we disliked.
We loved the pool overlooking the beach, especially with a cocktail in hand. It was a quiet, relaxing location. Our room was spacious and tasteful. We felt spoilt with the turn down each evening. There are some lovely beach restaurants and bars close by.
We walked from the boat - our choice - thru some sand - so don't do that. Get a horse and cart.
Trawanga island is the party island and very busy during the time we were there; Grasia is a bit out of the area if you're a die-hard party-goer. However, the walk to the busy area is about 15 mins, partly over the beach as they're still building the road around the island. Grasia offers free bikes (very nice), there is a good pool and they have a lounge area on the beach. The staff is nice, but relaxed. Breakfast was ok. Wifi not always working too well. The room is large, big beds, and quite a 'sophisticated' style of interior, which is not expected (or needed) on this island. The description garden-view is not correct: the villa-rooms are positioned so that your front door faces someone else's front door with a bit of garden and a path in between. Overall, nice, but pricey.
The sea in front of Grasia is difficult to get into due to the coral beds, which stretch out quite far before you can start snorkeling. Take padded shoes etc. if this is what you want to do. The hotel might want to build a jetty in the future? As said before, it's pricey too.
lazy and grimace staff
No hot water in the room, very poor breakfast, bad wifi, staff incompetent and price not suitable
Quiet and peaceful resort away from Central Trawangan area which is full of pubs and noise. Staffs were courteous and friendly. Twice a day cleaning of the rooms. Many thanks to Ronie, the manager who arranged our transport to and fro from the airport. The free bicycles enhanced the value. Excellence snorkeling area right in front of the resort!
Food around the resort is expensive. Need to cycle through sandy paths to go to Central area for food and shopping. Takes about 20-30 minutes.
Nice quiet resort facing the sea Lots of greenery & landscaping Large room & nice design Nice breakfast with free tea & coffee in the evening
Aircon unit not strong & insufficient to cool the entire room esp in family villa Hot shower runs out of hot water quickly & have to wait for it to be heated up again before next person can shower Hotel staff friendly but don't go out of their way to service the guests
The scenery n the villas. Locals were friendly n helpful.
Disappointed that despite promoting environment conservation ie no cars n motor bikes on island, the backs of villas n resorts were dirty n strewn with rubbish. Flies galore when food served n mossies galore at night - totally ignored by staff! Pushers for 'grass' & probably drugs operate openly. Corals were mostly dead though some effort to regeneration undertaken. Not many fishes.
huge rooms/bathrooms. clean fresh plenty of hotwater fresh fruit in rooms . all amenities minibar safe cupboards well furnished etc. quiet and away from noise of main strip and squashed hotels. yet accessible' v nice restaurant dunia beda nearby. telephone helpful staff good cocktails etc. also nice big pool and surprise extra of free afternoon tea with a warm freshly made cake which was a nice touch. I agree with tracy from Singapore, it was v g value and feel its worthy of a higher star rating.. I would happily recommend it to others.it was much nicer than some of the other more expensive hotels we went to see and were v glad we had booked in to villa grasia
not got a good beach area v small and rather too shaded. but easy to find a better spot 5 minutes in either direction. at least it had a good pool
The rooms are really nice & comfortable; it is possible to lend snorkelling gear from reception for free. Quiet area but still enough restaurants to go to in the vicinity.
Beach in front of the hotel is not great for getting in the sea without shoes.
Villa Grasia is at the north end of Gili T away from the main town and all the people. It has awesome snorkelling and is a beautiful place to stay if you want to get away from it all. Its about a 20min walk into town or you can get the horse & cart but we preferred to walk as the horse & cart was pretty uncomfortable. The food at villa grasia is excellent & reasonably priced & there are also some other great places to eat if you walk a bit further north.
Hot water was a bit on & off but you may get that anywhere you stay on Gili T I think
The breakfast was very nice and the staff very helpfull. They fixed 7 bikes for us so we could use them free of charge
Wifi only in public areas. The beach in front is full of coral so no nice to relax and swim. I would recommend Gili Meno for the best beaches ...a great paradise.
Nice staff, good snorkeling immediately opposite the hotel. Breakfast included. Nice and quiet, away from the hustle
Tired facilities, next to useless hire gear. Perished snorkels, rusted bicycles. No paved road so impossible to cycle through the sand.
The service and location are fantastic I will come back : )
The bungalow set out of the resort, position on the island where the resort is, (away from the crowds), very friendly staff, great snorkelling
Beach on the other side of the road. Ok food in restaurant. Realy big room.
Not easy to reach. Cats all over the hotel sitting in the reastaurant chairs and peeing everywhere. Builders from next door hotel started very early and could see true the bathroom window.
Nice bungalows, Hotel is right by the beach - very relaxing, peaceful location
This hotel is located on the beach at the North of the island, so it is some way away from the madness of the main strip. Bicycles are provided, and the cidomo (horse drawn carts) will cost you 100 000 IDR (around $10AUD) from the harbour. Staff are lovely. The rooms are simple and clean. Beach towels provided, great snorkelling from the beach, but bring your booties!! Lots of rocks and coral to hurt your feet!! We had a ball staying here - terima kasih!!
- Next door to Lutwala Dive where we were diving - On the quieter northern part of the island - Lovely sunsets - Attentive and friendly staff - Hot showers - Easy walk to other restaurants - Easy access to snorkelling spots but bring reef shoes.
Only had wifi in common areas but that is common for most places. Could still access it by the pool, etc, so all good. The pool had a couple of broken tiles but it was nice and clean.
Complimentary drink at check in Amenities for honeymooners (drinks and a cake) Great location across the road from the beach, close enough to the port, but far enough for some privacy away from the bar area hustle Spacious comfortable rooms and clean bathrooms (all the rooms seem the same, what varies is the distance to reception and the beach) Bicycles and snorkeling equipment (masks, snorkels, reef shoes) are provided free of charge which is a great benefit Great snorkeling right in front of the hotel (snorkeling spot of this hotel is the best on the whole Gili Trawangan)
Front desk staff is friendly, yet sometimes hard to find, we had to wait for them for 20 minutes when checking in. Not much of privacy (glass door and windows face the path where other guests and staff are walking) Wifi available only at reception There is no real beach in front of the hotel, just a 2-meters narrow stripe Keep in mind that Gili is NOT a beach paradise ala Maldives, beaches in Bali are much greater. Gili T has small relatively dirty sandy beaches with lots of stones. You CANNOT enter the sea without coral shoes, so it takes 10 or more minutes clumsy feet-hurting walk to reach the deep. If you don't like snorkeling, there is nothing to do at Gili islands
The quiet location, away from the main party area, the rooms were quite large and very well furnished with plenty of cupboard space and provision for luggage, a desk and lovely leather chair with foot stool to relax in. Bathroom large and well designed and equipped. Staff were friendly and helpful. Very generous buffet breakfast.
Beach front disappointing with a lot of broken coral all over making it very difficult to reach the snorkeling area a long way out. Bikes provided were taken away on the 1st day for repairs and were not seen again. All bikes old and in need of repairs.
