What I liked best during my stay was the fact that it is close to the city, that you have the choice to book a smoking room (despite that there was a strong smell of cold tobacco), the bed was comfortable and is good if you are a couple and the bathroom is quite good too. The heater didn't work so in addition to my cold, the awakening was so hard. The worst thing is that I paid 96€ for a saturday night (it was the day before the rugby match Ireland - France) while one of my friend paid 85€ for the same night, and for a non-smoker room (plus the fact that I had booked on internet, and not my friend). So I can't understand how the hotel fairs are calculated. Moreover, some of the staff are not very friendly.

The location is the best feature of this hotel. Access to the bus system is great for getting around. Smell of cigarette smoke throughout the hotel

bed was in dire condition, mattress was propped up, using duvets under it to help reduce the 'sunk' look. very uncomfortable beds. curtain ripped of rail, allowing light from a wall light into the room.

Although I was in a non-smoking room, the smoke in the halls and corridors was unbearable. I ended up having to use pillows to close the air gap at the bottom of my door - unacceptable considering the smoking laws. The room was quite run down and in need of a thorough clean. The shower was leaking and the phone didn't work. I would not stay here again. In fairness however, the lady on reception was very polite and apologetic which was appreciated.

Near the city centre. Price was good for a weekend. There may as well not have been a window in the room as the noise from cars on the road was very loud. The room was at the side of the hotel so maybe noise from the road echoed, it was very hard to sleep with constant noise.

The staff were awesome, even after I checked out of the hotel. My brother was staying at his appartment across the street. When I really needed something I could simply walk over and ask questions as a relationship had been extablished with several staff even after our brief 3 day stay. They were great!!! We requested a non smoking room which re received. However, you could smell smoke in the hallways and elevators. Also, we did try to book on line to save money but for several days neither myself or my brother could book rooms. By the time we could book them the saver rates were gone. When we called the hotel about this issue at the time they said they could not offer the saver rates themselves, it had to be done on line. This was very disappointing.

Clean and secure hotel accessible to central Dublin. Friendly and helpful staff. Quiet room and confortable bed for good night's sleep before business day; furnished with excellent facilities - wardrobe for hanging clothes, shower/bathroom, kettle to boil water for tea/coffee, BitBuzz Wifi if needed, T.V. and telephone. Very affordable price for someone on reduced income. I have stayed in this hotel various times over the past two years and I would recommend it to everyone. If I ever needed anything, the staff were always eager to help. Travelodge Hotel, Rathmines is my no. 1 hotel of choice in Dublin. I have absolutely nothing negative to say about Travelodge Hotel, Rathmines. I would recommend it to everyone who wanted to stay in Dublin.

The staff are superb! Friendly, helpful, knowledgeable. The rooms was super clean, the housekeeper very friendly and a very hard working person. Everything is neat and clean. The area is excellent, close to everything - ten minutes walk to City Center - but, groceries, restaurants and lounge bars all within a block. Buses right outside the door take you to the theatre, the bus station to connect to the airport bus, and the trains.

Good location. Lots of buses into and out of city centre but also within walking distance. Plenty of places to eat nearby and to go for a drink if you don't fancy going into the City Centre.

Very economical. Cannot beat the price for a hotel in the area. Easy bus access to city centre. The stairwells smelled horribly of smoke every so often. Not the staff's fault, I don't think, but it could be heavily awful at times. Also, the water temperature control in the shower was terrible. During a single shower it fluctuated from scalding to cold a dozen times. It was very hard to take a good relaxing shower.

I found the travelodge was well looked after and clean. It was equal to any hotels of a similar type I have stayed in and in some cases better. Good value.

We stayed at Travelodge Rathmines for our first time in Dublin and we were surprised by the friendliness and kindness of the staff. When we arrived, although it was later than 3 P.M., the room which they gave us was not clean and it smelled strongly of cigarettes (and it was a non- smoking room!), but when my husband complained about that, they gave us immediately another room, which was fine. Comfortable beds, hot water, bath tub, not very far from the city centre (walking is a bit far, but one can take a bus and you're there in 10 minutes). I can recommend it with all my heart, and Dublin as well

Comfortable suited our purpose. Had secure parking. The only thing was that it was a little farther out from the city centre than I imagined when I booked it.
