Service, staff, food.
A wedding in the hotel was a bit noisy.
Staff in restaurant were very helpful when I arrived with my 5 month old baby.
Travel cot for baby was very hard so he found it hard to sleep in.
The room was huge and lovely The outside of the hotel is also beautiful Shared a bottle of wine in the bar at a very reasonable price overall a good experience with really comfortable beds and good nights sleep
There was nothing that I did not like
I booked a double room and was more than happy with the size of the room and bathroom
The rooms are a little dated and in need of some updating
staff were excellent food was very nice and good value
carpet could do with been cleaned in bedroom splash of paint would do no harm bedroom was over bar and for familly room noise from music on sat night could lead to kids not getting to sleep untill late otherwise you can not hear any noise from bar
Really liked these lodges, suited us perfectly for a stop over, with three young children. Good value compared to two hotel rooms. Very spacious, clean and well equipped.
Wifi didn't work in lodges.
the leisure facilities the dining experience the staff in the bar area the cleanliness of lodge facilities of lodge
nothing, it was a great holiday
Spacious rooms Cleanliness Close to hotel Decor
No internet Need washing up liquid or dish washer tablets
The location was perfect. Very short walk to the town centre.
The decor is a little dated. Could do with mordernising.
lack of staff in restaurant, messy, because three girls couldnt do evedrything possible, food 3 out of five
We were in a group of 20 for a family weekend break, ranging in age from 2 to 92. The staff were very friendly and helpful, food was excellent and great value for money. The facilities were fantastic and we had a lovely weekend, I would thoroughly recommend this hotel and hope to be back!
Lack of enterement .
Very friendly staff and good choice of foods for breakfast and dinner. Everything I had was delicious. Comfortable room and beautiful gardens. Old wordly charm with comfortable foyer area to sit and read. They dealt with my daughters nut allergy with ease and she felt comfortable eating there. I definitely would go back.
A couple of times my food order was messed up e.g I ordered sausage and egg for breakfast and was brought rashers and egg. Having said that it didn't ruin my stay.
The accommodation for one night stay was great value for money. Also the reception staff were very friendly and helpful.
The food and drinks were quite expensive in the bar. Also some of the bar staff were very unfriendly.
The staff could not have been more efficient or helpful. It was a pleasure to stay.
Excellent venue, comfortable.
Food little better than bar food. Chef refused to cook my burger the way I asked. I changed my order to a rare steak. It came well done. I gave up!
The dinner was lovely!
Had to wait half an hour for our food.
we were staying for a family funeral with other family members. The room was huge with lots of chairs and all of us could sit in the one room for chats. The window opened wide and it was overall a lovely comfortable, clean, spacious room with a fantastic breakfast, and a great selection of wine in the bar at very reasonable cost.
I would have liked to stay longer! There was nothing to dislike about this hotel and the service.
Location and hotels theme Parking was excellent I have requested to return for another week stay as from the 8/8/14 and my point about the noisy room has hopefully been addressed.
I requested a quiet room but due to faulty taps or a toilet below me very noisy in the early hours of every morning. The bar / restaurant is plagued with flies I reported that they were all over my bread the response was we always discard the bread when the customer is finished.
It was very spacious.
There wasn't much communication with the receptionist, we were not given any directions to our room.
Meal portions were huge, great value for money
My room was a bit tired, wallpaper peeling off
Comfortable spacious room with great beds and good leisure facilities
Pool and spa were both clean and well kept. Staff very helpful.
The showers could do with being updated. Not very strong. The bar is quite dated and put us off eating in the hotel to be honest.
Beer yobs... may prove a big attraction at a ZOO But not at a hotel.
Breakfast was nice and good value
Smell in the room was horrible from the smoking in there
