Abbeyglen Castle Hotel

Lo mejor: la habitación, tanto por lo que respecta a la limpieza como al confort y las dimensiones. Sólo una pega: la ventana daba directamente a una cascada, por lo que el ruido del salto del agua nos impidió dormir.

Lo peor: el restaurante y el servicio, no todo lo cuidadoso que debe exigirse al personal de este tipo de establecimientos.

The complimentary afternoon tea and champagne. Also the ambience of the facilities were outstanding. The staff were welcoming and helpful.

The traditional bar with a turf fire, friendly staff and good food plus proximity to Clifden. Beautiful setting

Absolutely everything. If you want excellent staff and a generally fantastic hotel this is the place.

Room had not been cleaned since last user. Also, stains on what was presented as clean towels and bathrobes. Water from sink and bathtub was brown. Staff prematurely checked us out, and trashed part of our personal belongings, forgetting we had actually booked two nights. Extremely embarrassing situation.

It has a wonderful location and view.

Cool hotel, but needs to be updated with more modern amenities. Free breakfast was horrible.

Everybody (all the staff) was very friendly and helpful. The hotel had a beautiful view looking down a hillside with a pretty fountain and lovely flowers and bushes surrounding the property.

The location was nice and peaceful and the location was very central to the sightseeing we did in West Galway and Mayo.

I know the bog water is a feature taht the Hotel uses and promotes, however, I hated the smell in the bathroom after everytime I flushed the toilet. I felt it was more like sewage then bog.

Very dissapointed with our stay, expected this to be more upmarket after viewing the website, discusting smell when you walk in the door to reception due to having a parot beside the reception desk, served with dirty glass at the bar, lock on door didnt work, very basic room and dark, although does look like a castle on the outside it no way resembles one on the inside - staff were not unpleasant...
