The location was convenient for central Dublin and all attractions. The family room was huge and reasonably clean.
Could hardly sleep as our room was near reception and every time anyone walked past it felt like the floor was gonna come through and the front door beeped loudly. Also advertised breakfast but there isn't any!!!!!!
John the owner is a fellow west belfastian living in Bunbeg for over 30 years. The reception myself and the wife received was 1st class. The accommodation is excellent and spotless. Being a family run business you are made to feel welcome throughout your stay. I completed the Dublin marathon this week on bank holiday Monday. 2 nights stay here in peaceful location and surroundings was just what the doctor ordered. A great wee place to recuperate and recharge the batteries. Breakfast is excellent. We wish John and his family all the Georgie Best with their new restaurant. Will Defo be back and will surely recommend to all.
Price very good. All room facilities very good (inc hair dryer)
Third floor - no lift
Lamp was full of spider on roof then side lamp not working smelling of burning from radiators
check in and out was quick
no lift, the room was too hot and wifi didnt work
Closeness to O'Connell Street.
Breakfast not included
Location to station . Shops. Ferry. Airport.
Other guests sat on the stairs and had late night conversation on their cell phone. Kept us awake. We had to ask them to stop
i stayed in the abbott lodge for one night. it only about a 5 min work from o'connell street. its good value for money. the room we were in was a triple room. we had booked a double room. it was very good as we had a bigger room for the same price.
we were on the third floor and it was quite steep the stairs from the second to the third floor. the room was very cold. i woke up a few times during the night due to it being cold. now that could be because we were on the top floor. in the bathroom above the sink where the light is it was quite duste. i could see the dust and it wasnt a day or 2 build up of dust i would say more a week or more.
There wans't the connection in my room Very dirty Quality/price low
Very clean compared to most B n B,s in that location, the shower an bathroom was nice and clean with a good range of Free towels..some other BnBs in Gardnier street are Disguisting, Nice friendly staff too, I'd recommend it to friends
That there was no Breakfeast at all available
Airport bus is just outside the Guest house, walking distance to town.
It is not ideal, when your bedroom is so near the main road, especially if one is a light sleeper like me.
The location was great
Wifi was poor, small rooms and too expensive
location helpful, staff
The wifi was free and worked.
Apartment was quite old as were the appliances and furniture. Musky smell in the hallways. Had been left with the impression that breakfast was included but did not get any. In addition the apartment was not located in Abbott Lodge Guesthouse but around the corner so unable to access any assistance.
Excellent place to stay
The room smelled of mold The wifi only worked in the hall The tv didn't work The tile in the bathroom was lose and it smelled of mold The room was on the busy street that was noisy and sleeping was difficult
Location near centre of Dublin good.
We booked the venue as including breakfast but breakfast was not available. False information provided on Internet. Sign outside still stated "full Irish breakfast". SOME staff had inadequate English.
Area and location of the guest room
The apartment was rundown and was across the road and was a bit of a trek up the street
easy to get to on foot excellent bed and being ensuite
Staff was good always ready to help Location is excellent in the very city center
No wifi as promised Room with just a window never opened in the roof Not really clean Too much money for the facilities they offer
the room was a bit smelly, not sure about cleanless
The hotel is located in a quite central area. No breakfast. The Abbott Lodge is not the Savoy but it definitely is a cleaver choice. Nice value for money.
The room was small and a bit noisy but I think you cannot get any better with those prices they have.
Location excellent ...an easy walk to centre of town ...2mins walk to bus station ... Cozy factor Friendly reception Reasonable tariff for rooms Lenient about late checkouts
Lack of complimentary breakfast
Proximity to city centre and public transport. Staff helpful.
Sash window broken, let in cold air and noise.
Close to town
Water dripping through the light fittings. Hair dryer smoked when turned on. Bed had springs poking through mattress. Duvet covered in stains. Paper-thin walls. The whole place looked like it hadn't had any work done to it in about 20 years, I would definitely not stay here again
