Area and location of the guest room
The apartment was rundown and was across the road and was a bit of a trek up the street
easy to get to on foot excellent bed and being ensuite
the room was a bit smelly, not sure about cleanless
The hotel is located in a quite central area. No breakfast. The Abbott Lodge is not the Savoy but it definitely is a cleaver choice. Nice value for money.
The room was small and a bit noisy but I think you cannot get any better with those prices they have.
Proximity to city centre and public transport. Staff helpful.
Sash window broken, let in cold air and noise.
Close to town
Water dripping through the light fittings. Hair dryer smoked when turned on. Bed had springs poking through mattress. Duvet covered in stains. Paper-thin walls. The whole place looked like it hadn't had any work done to it in about 20 years, I would definitely not stay here again
They don't tell you might get a room in the back yard without any Georgian character whatsoever! Dodgy bathroom with dirty broken tiles and room with broken electricity sockets.
Great location, good wifi, excellent staff. Comfortable room. Staff kindly organised and extended parking for us to explore the city a bit longer.
Right across the street from the airport drop off, and about 100m from the airport pickup (Airlink) 5 minutes from a great cafe area and 10 minutes to 2 shopping malls. 15 minutes walk to Temple Bar and Trinity College. Housekeeping cleaned everyday and brought fresh towels. 24/7 reception and you left your key at the desk (no lost keys!!) Wifi was great and the channel selection on TV was great too. Window blocked out the noise from the street, shades blocked a lot of the light.
Room faced street so somewhat noisy but we closed the window and problem solved. Water heater kept tripping and shutting off the shower (wasn't a problem since there were two of us but a solo traveler would find it annoying)
Close to harbor
Staff not assistive for my friend with limited walking capability. We were told our room was on third floor. The room was really on the fourth floor. There were only two electric outlets in room. Blow dryer didn't work. Not enough towels. Disappointed.
1. Location for City Centre and Coach Station as well as getting to visit the Mater Hospital (reason for the visit) were all excellent.
Obsolete appliances in the room should be removed as it saves time from trying to get them to work!
too noisy; too hot because it was impossible to open the window.
I liked there was staff 24 hours.
No lock on bathroom door but the worst thing was the door buzzer was very loud so little sleep was had. I would stay again and ask for a room where it can't be heard.
Perfect: location / price Good: the rooms were clean, good beds (5 for family), friendly personnel.
Could be better: Window couldn't be locked of broken handle Bathroom very small To get hot water in shower needed several switches to activate and when we finally got it, it wasn't a shower I expected.
The room could do with upgrade bathroom is so small
Staff at reception was very, very helpful and friendly.Room was neat, clean and tidy. I would recommend this accommodation to anybody.
The older lady in the kitchen did not show any interpersonal skills/good communication skills
Roof over your head
Small room for two people
Friendly Staff, good location near O'Connell St. Good price for the location, Clean
Very uncomfortable bed, room very small, tiny bathroom, hairdryer did not work.
The reception staff were superb. Nothing was to much trouble for them.
Can't say anything not to like.
Proximity to the centre
Rooms a little small
This old house hotel was quiet & clean, but too many blocks away from O'connell Street, and not very cozy. Good price and avbl easy.
It was a warm day and the ventilation in the room was not good...also the bathroom is very small with a strange hot water valve on the shower?!
I liked the location to the center ofdublin
single beds in our room were very bad the bathroom fittings were not there and the water pressure was not great no chair in the room and the hair dryer over heated and i could keep going on over not good value for money
Room was small and room was noisy due to road traffic passing by and also it was hot.
The room was clean, the staff was helpful. Great location within walking distance of Trinity College, Henry Street, Temple Bar. Our room was on the back of the building, so it was nice and quiet.
Kind of expensive for what you get, but it was Pride weekend so lots of tourists in town. I know many other hotels were sold out. The wifi in the room was really poor (yes, first world problems).
Breakfast was good, staff were friendly
Bathroom could have been a bit bigger!!
