V nice Breakfast fab!
would have preferred a duvet to blanket.
Everything, from the moment we arrived we were made feel welcome. Excellent location, facilities and value for money
The friendly welcome. The lovely tea and coffee served on a tray with cookies on arrival. The choice of food for breakfast. Lovely fruit, cereals and freshly baked bread.
The warm welcome, helpfulness and friendliness of all staff. Location also excellent; quiet but near the train for easy access to the city
Very considerate personnel, a delicious breakfast, a peaceful neighborhood very close to the sea
Owners work in the business as a "way of life" and it tells in their attention to detail. You are immediately felt welcome and relaxed. Location is fab and we were in town in minutes on the dart, locally there is also plenty to do and very fine dining, sandymount and ballsbridge are very close.
Lovely Quiet Room. Just stayed one night. The breakfast was gorgeous and we got on wonderfully well with Mr Halpin the owner and manager. The reception rooms are lovely. The Bed was magnificently comfortable.
Nothing really. Bedroom furniture somewhat old now. Carpet needs upgrade. These relatively small issues really.
Loved our stay here, lovely room, breakfast and staff. The owner was more than helpful - would love to stay Aberdeen Lodge again.
Convenience to area I needed to go to
No tea facilities in bedroom
could hear noise from other rooms very clearly - especially in the night.
I liked everything about it, the staff was excellent they were so helpful and friendly the place was spotless and comfortable the food was brilliant great selection bathroom was beautiful and clean surrounding area very quite and not far from the sea front about ten minutes walk from hotel also transport excellent. Definitely would go their again and would recommend
The location was very convenient for Dublin city without being too close. The owner, Ann, was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was excellent, the hotel had a peaceful atmosphere with a historic feel and the room was lovely.
There wasn't tea/coffee facilities in the room although they were provided when requested. I don't think it should be necessary to ask as these are standard in all good hotels. However these comments are meant more as a constructive suggestion than a criticism as it really was a great place to stay
Very hospitable, loved the tea offered when we got back in the afternoon or evening. Absolutely great breakfast. Quiet, close to the sea side. In walking distance to the RDS. Recommended.
Internet was kind of slow when all guests went online at the same time - though we were a particular crowd during the Web Summit...
The staff was excellent -- professional, interesting, and welcoming. No tea / coffee facilities in the bedroom, but anytime we arrived back from a day out we were offered tea or coffee, which added to the very welcoming character of the guest house. Very good breakfast too.
Some of the fittings looked a little threadbare -- seats especially. This didn't make the place look or feel tacky (the house is very well looked after and decorated). However, one does get the impression that it's been some time since it was refurbished.
Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Dart station easy walking distance as is nearby village with lovely green. Bus stop extremely close as is the strand for nice walks.
Friendly welcome. Quiet location with opportunity to walk in the evening.
Room a little cramped, with poor TV reception
Very comfortable bed and lovely breakfast.
Staff extremely helpful. Wonderful breakfast with a gorgeous buffet selection. Tea and coffee available on request. Good Wifi.
The owners and staff are simply wonderful! So welcoming and helpful. Great location--close to both sea and Dublin. I'd go back in a heart beat!
Definitely my hotel of choice when staying in Dublin. Located in a picturesque quiet suburb with good restaurants nearby. Rooms are very comfortable. What really makes this hotel stand out though is the friendly and obliging proprietor and staff who are always on hand to help with any query or request.
A very be nice and well furnished building, in a quiet and fancy residential neighbourhood, far from the city centre but just a few minutes away from the Dart train line (<20 minutes to downtown) and also within walking distance from the seaside and from an area with restaurants and cafés. Very friendly and helpful staff and owners, with plenty of free coffee offered any time of day, and lots of useful information on how to enjoy Dublin. Clean and comfortable rooms, well furnished. All in all, a very good place to stay in the capital city of Ireland!
A beautiful private hotel in a suburban street. The staff were excellent and what a treat to be greeted with a pot of tea. We were overwhelmed with good advise on both the local area and central Dublin which only a few minutes away by train. Hotel was really convenient for the ferry terminal.
Only a tiny criticism, there was no tea or coffee making facilities in the room.
Beautiful accommodations, nice breakfast, great staff. Just a short train ride into City Centre. Short walk to the train.
The cleanliness and excellently presented fare for breakfast !
No faults !
We like that it was just a short train ride from city center and then a pleasant walk.
