The cleanliness and excellently presented fare for breakfast !
No faults !
We like that it was just a short train ride from city center and then a pleasant walk.
King size bed. Near a train station for getting downtown (20 min). Very helpful with suggestions, directions.
Location excellent, with dart only few minutes walk away. Friendly welcome by owner, place spotlessly clean. Great choice of breakfast with hot food cooked to order. Would stay here again. Check out Marios Italian restaurant nearby, wonderful!
Would have liked tea and coffee facilities in the room although it was complimentary in the drawing room.
-Friendly staff. -Spacious room with comfortable beds. -Great selection for breakfast. The pancakes were amazing! -Definitely a good spot if you're looking to just relax.
-A little further from the Temple Bar area and shops than we would have liked, as we were looking for something that was in walking distance.. But that was our own fault.
We enjoyed the area and the ambiance of the hotel
No evening dining, but can be supplied by arrangement.
The location is great, breakfast outstanding. Favorite plate was scrambled eggs with salmon. Staff and owner, extremely helpful and friendly.
Close to Dart station
We, my thirteen year old son and I, had a lovely stay at Aberdeen Lodge. We received a warm welcome when we first arrived. The rooms were very comfortable and clean, the breakfast was outstanding. It was like being with close friends as we received any help we asked for during our stay by the lovely owners and the excellent staff - we would definitely come back again, next time with the whole family. Thanks for the wonderful time in Dublin.
Daniel provided excellent service to us while we were there and it was very much appreciated. The whole feel of Aberdeen Lodge felt like home - very comfortable and welcoming
Excellent bed. Good breakfast About 20 minutes to downtown on DART Staff is competent and accomodating! Quiet
Lovely staff. They couldn't do enough for us. Even delivered tea and biscuits to our room at ay time day or night. Breakfast was lovely. Great location to the beach.
The bathroom was dated although very clean. The toilet wasn't working properly. Beds were very soft, too soft.
Hospitality, great pot of proper tea served on arrival. Excellent breakfast with plenty of choices & well served with fresh toast & fruit. Helpful on giving instructions as to best places to visit, eat & stay. Booked taxi for return to airport with complimentary pot of tea & biscuits prior to departing. Foreign Staff most polite & friendly; but would have preferred more Irish staff to add to the 'Irish experience'. I would really recommend a stay. Nothing too much trouble & close to transportation into Dublin. Take the dart, they offer return tickets, where as the bus does not. Lovely Edwardian part of Dublin. Beach close to dockland, so don't expect too much from the beach but makes a pleasant evening walk to see boats coming & going. Enjoy!
Nothing not to like.
Pat, the innkeeper was wonderful as well as the rest of the staff. The inn is charming and the grounds are beautiful. It's just far enough from the city center and close to beach. There's a wonderful village within walking distance.
Excellent suburb Tea and Coffee whenever we returned Great breakfast
Boss didn't make tea and was difficult to engage in conversation
Good location, nice spot, friendly and helpful staff. Well set up, the ambiance is lovely.
Creaky floor, we heard the people above us walking around (during the night). TV channels were limited.
lovely place peaceful locaction close to the city even closer to the beach delicious breakfast very warm andnwelcoming hosts lots of good recommendations
The neighborhood is quiet and close to everything by train. Our room on the 3rd floor was charming with comfortable beds and tons of hot water. Breakfast was great with a variety of choices. Service and attention to detail delightful. Our host helped us easily navigate to and from the city / airport making the end of our trip stress free.
That I couldn't stay longer. Need to ring for entry to Lodge, feel like I'm putting them out.
I purchased this stay for my parents and they absolutely just loved it. From the staff to the house itself they felt at home - they said. I would highly recommend anyone to book here and I myself am quickly looking at how much time off I have left this year to go myself.
What a gem this place is. We were greeted with tea and cookies in the lounge on arrival, bags delivered to room and given a full briefing on transport options, walking distance restaurants, shops and sightseeing around Dublin. The full breakfast was excellent and service exceptional. Thoroughly recomended.
Nothing at all
We liked this place so much we are returning from our travels and are staying a few more days.
great breakfast friendly staff helpful Innkeeper nice extras tea and cookies Nice back garden and public living room
Really warm welcome which continued throughout our time there. It felt like nothing was too much trouble.
Having to go home.
The breakfast at Aberdeen lodge is really exceptional. I would say that in all my years staying in hotels and guest-houses all over the world I have never seen better. I will not go into detail, but believe me, you will not be disappointed.
Choice of TV channels was very poor, but I believe that this was due to maintenance work in front of the hotel and the usual choice of channels would be restored in a day or two.
Very friendly welcome and greeting. Breakfast was excellent. Staff friendly and helpful Quick & Easy access to airport via the port tunnel (15 to 20 minutes)
