BEST WESTERN PLUS Academy Plaza Hotel  

Stayed here last year and had no hesitation booking for a return visit.Location excellent for all Dublin has to offer. Airlink bus stops right outside as does hop on hop off tour bus. Had no problems with noise,rooms very well catered for ,with tea/coffee making ,hair dryer,iron and ironing board.Beds very comfortable and shower room spacious and clean.Internet available in each room if required.Staff very welcoming and helpful. Secure luggage room so you can make the most of your last day without hauling cases everywhere.Will stay here every time I go to Dublin.

Breakfast a bit expensive although it is a help yourself buffet.Go to Murrays bar just round corner on O'Connell Street.Huge breakfast 7 Euros.

The location wright in the city centre,very friendly and helpful staff, the room was spotless the food was firstclass.

Despite reserving a twin and requesting that it be held for late arrival, the room we received was apparently the last double left in the hotel. Barely big enough for one person with a terrible bathroom and awful furnishings. The second night was much better ... we received a triple, apparently as compensation for screwing up the first night. That room was spacious, well-appointed and very comfortable. Both rooms were very clean. I apparently left two power plug converters in a previous hotel, and the Academy Plaza provided two for a 5-euro deposit. They also reduced the rate a bit to make up for the first night's room mishap. All in all a decent hotel, if they would just honor requests.

Visited hotel on many occasions therefore aware of it's plus points, good staff, cleanliness, good bar and reasonable breakfast

Bed was too small

Excellent value for money compared with other Dublin hotels. Room was a little bit cramped but otherwise everything was 5*.

Location. Like the idea of not being able to use the lift without room pass, this made us feel safe (two ladies travelling together)

Room 401 view from window, made the room very dark when unable to see daylight. However, was grateful to be near the lift with my elderly mother. On question 1 I have indicated I travelled with a friend, in fact it was my mother, there is no 'drop down' selection for travelling with relative.

We were given a small room, but asked reception to change, which they did without delay. Comfortable beds, very clean.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were spacious and well furnished. It is located in the centre of Dublin.

Location was spot on for short city break - sightseeing bus stop right outside as was airport bus. Easy to walk to main attractions areas of Dublin

Worst shower ever!

Good City Centre location 10 minutes walk down O'Connell street from Temple Bar. Breakfast Buffet very good. Reception Staff outstanding.

Room was comfortable but a little small for 2 persons. Breakfast Buffet very good but a bit like a production line with large numbers of people staying in the hotel. If you want something more personal then go somewhere else.
