Staff wad very friendly, breakfast was excellent

Furniture looks very old and outdated

Helena was an amazing host. Nothing was too much trouble for her and she treated us like her own family. The communal lounge was also great to mingle with other guests.

The wifi access wasn't great in the room we had.

Great staff. Clean and cosy accommodations. Parking and wifi included and 10 minute walk from Cork's "downtown". Very recommended.

Very friendly..

The staff is very friendy, and any issue you may have they will try to solve it. The room i was given it was in the ground floor close to the main door, so I ask for another one on the top, and I was changed without problem. As well in the room was a little bit cold and the staff turn on the heater. Also I was offered a tea and cookies when I arrived. The hostal is 10 min walking to san patrick street, when i stayed it was quiet and i had a good rest there, the beds are quite comfortable.

May be a little bit cold in the rooms but if the heater is working is fine. Is close to the road so is easy to hear the cars, although if the room is facing to the backyard is all right.

We really enjoyed our stay. The staff were really friendly and attentive, the rooms were spotless and comfortable. Also it was a short walk into the city centre. We will be staying here anytime we come to Cork in the future.

Location 5 minutes walk into Cork, staff were friendly and helpful really good kebab shop 30m away.

Rooms were basic for the price I base this on comparison with other B&B's I have stayed in. Water could have been hotter especially as the weather in Cork was freezing. Next to University campus which brought with it plenty of noise into the early hours.

We were greeted warmly by the owner Helena. our room was very comfortable and quiet, it only takes a few minutes to walk to the city. The staff were very friendly

Wasn't anything to dislike

The facilities at Achill House were very good and this combined with the friendliness of the staff, made the stay very enjoyable. As I have a partial disability, the staff were excellent in helping me cope with the stairs and we were offered a choice of different rooms to suit my disability. Achill House offered a choice of breakfast either Full Irish or Continental; this followed either cereals, canned fruit and yoghurt. I would certainly recommend this B&B to anybody staying in the Cork area.

Great B&B exactly where I needed it to be and reasonably priced. Friendly staff, spacious and well appointed. Good breakfasts.

Wifi reached everywhere but the room I was in. (Yes, that is the worst thing I can find - so it was pretty good really)

I stayed at the Achill House B&B and was greeted warmly by the owner, Helena. My room was very clean, comfortable and quiet!! The free Wifi in the room worked without any issues and the location was excellent and I was able to walk into the city centre for shopping in about 10 minutes. The morning I left, I had just missed breakfast, but Anna cooked me breakfast anyway and it was literally the best omelette I have ever had. The price is right, the location is amazing, the bed is super comfy, the breakfast is outstanding and the service is above and beyond. I will be staying again!

Minor issue, but I would recommend anyone needing access to WiFi request that it is available in their room. It wasn't in mine, although it was advertised as such.

The room was cozy and charming - nothing fancy but certainly fit our needs. The owner was so friendly and helpful and the breakfast was delicious!

The welcome was superb. Helena is a very warm friendly person and is a credit to Irish hospitality. In a busy city bed & breakfast she takes the time to chat to all her guests, makes them at home and offers them guidance on where to go in the city and county. We need more people like that and her staff have the same outlook and attitude. I felt much better for my stay there.

Very friendly b&b owner, always in for chat, very caring. Decent room and nice breakfast.

The b&b is located in a street where the majority of houses is a b&b, not uncommon in Ireland, however a little peculiar. The b&b is located outside the city center, however the city center is at walking distance.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Helena (owner) made you feel like one of the family.

Excellent and friendly staff, location was perfect for what we wanted - nice big room :)

Facilities may not match a 4 or 5 star hotel, but all we needed was a bed for the night and a feed - so it does not matter that much for us.

Gorgeous house and ideal location, just minutes walk from Cork city centre along the rive Lee. Welcoming, friendly owner and staff. Clean, comfortable room. No fuss.
