As a frequent traveller to Kinsale I would highly recommend Actons Hotel to anyone visiting this scenic seaside town. The location is great with fantastic harbour views and only a short walk into town. The rooms were clean and comfortable, staff friendly and efficient and the Spa great to unwind and relax. Another great stay at Actons. Thanks.

This hotel surpassed all my expectations, as I was a little dubious based on many reviewers negative opinions. The staff could not have been more helpful. We had requested an early check-in as we were arriving in Kinsale early in the morning, and on arrival were delighted to find that that room was in fact ready, despite the hotel being booked up the night before. A beautiful view overlooking the harbour. Room was clean, comfortable and cosy. Bar and lobby downstairs were lovely to lounge in. Fantastic price in a fantastic location. Breakfast was inclusive, and very enjoyable in a lovely dining room. Was extremely satisfied with my stay here.

Very clean hotel, very helpful and friendly staff. Great location in the town centre. Good leisure centre-great for kids. Very dated hotel-it was like going back to the 1970's! Room rates are not the cheapest so surely the owners could spend some money on the place and spruce it up.

The hotel is in a good location and we had parking. The room was spacious and quiet and very clean. We didn't eat there at all, so I don't know how good the food is, but the staff were friendly. The decor is a little dated but it was comfortable.

Sufficent facility for the money, however, needs a significant injection of finance to improve what is now a shabby outdated hotel. My view is that the right investment would return far greater returns for the owner. It would appear its use is only due to a lack of hotels in the ever popular town of Kinsale. Outdated tv coupled with poor reception, shabby interior

We found the hotel staff very friendly. The breakfast was very good and the waiting staff were also very friendly. The leisure centre was average in that it could do with a bit of a make over. The steam room wasnt working but the oudoor hot tub was fab. Staff there alsio very nice. The hotel room while it was comfortable and clean was a bit dated. In all would stay there again, good value for money. Thank you.

The location and the view We didn't like the fact that when we went to have a shower in the morning the water was stone cold. When we brought this to the attention of the staff member who was checking us out they simply said: We were not aware of any problems, and offered no apology. That was really disappointed. The breakfast was poor, toast were burnt, milk, spoons and butter were missing at our table,no beans and no tomato left.

The location was very handy for seeing the most of Kinsale in a short time. The room was clean and quiet. We found the breakfast to be very poor. The choice of buffet was just a few cereals and jam and marmalade for toast. There was no cheese, ham or fruit. I asked for a croissant which was stated on the menu, I had to wait for about 10 minutes and then was presented with a microwaved croissant which was soggy and greasy and inedible. My partner ordered poached eggs and bacon, the eggs were ok but the bacon was very undercooked and unappetising. Such a shame to spoil the hotel by having a poor standard of breakfast.

Central location, on the waterfront at Kinsale. Iron in room as standard, with ironing board. Bed reasonably comfortable. Breakfast was ok. Hotel was quiet at night-time. Swimming pool one depth all the way, good for practicing swimmers who like to stay in their depth. Smell of nappies in room when we arrived, had to ask to be moved, which was done for us. Rooms quite basic, TV's quite old, limited choice of stations, wi-fi very intermittent. Bar area very dead, nothing about the place would inspire you to have a drink there. Floor in leisure area was filthy, had to point this out to the lifeguard. Looks like hotel is being run down, has a dated lifeless feel to it, would not stay again.

All modern conforts and has an old style period feel to the rooms. Lovely view and evening strolls. Nothing everything was fine except to be picky an express cup should be hot before you put the expresso in it.
