Score from 729 reviews Very good
Great location, decent Wifi, huge, nice breakfast
A bit noisy outside
I liked how it was so close to temple bar as I went just on an overnight stay to enjoy the nightlife, the food in the hotel was lovely and we would definitely return again!
Nearness to City Centre Staff were nice and friendly Room was relatively clean Provisions in room were good
Noisy - provided ear plugs in room Uncomfortable bed Dated Decor - not sound-proof Poor quality of food - breakfast
everything in the hotel staff were very pleasant and helpfull, had a great stay , great location , I'll be back
location friendly staff
Can be very noisy at times, but earplugs are supplied.
The massive breakfast - kept me going all day (however the dinning area was dimly lit and breakfast was in candle light)
Kept awake all night by the noise from the street outside - people running up and down the street shouting and cars honking their horns. This went on until 4am. The room was cold and drafty due to the rattly windows. Maybe the room would have been a lot more comfortable and noise free if the hotel was fitted with double glazed windows.
Noise,Noise,Noise,Noise ALARMS going off all night for two nights of a four night stay,no explanation from staff.i was never asked how my stay was at check out. VERY VERY POOR.
Great location. Value for money, though the bathroom needed a little touch up. Very friendly staff member on reception during day. Comfortable room.
The WiFi dropped off more than it was on. The hotel entrance at night was along a dodgy back road that had a couple of undesirables who approached us while we waited the ten or so minutes for the night porter to let us in.
Location in the middle of everywhere. Nice staff and excellent pub downstais.
Noisy because it is too close to an avenue.
1/2 hour wait for breakfast left without eating
Hotel has excellent localization. Very spacious and clean room. Good price. The safe is in the room.
Breakfast every day the same. Monotonous. Staff, sometimes was not very helpful. Difficult to communicate with the stuff. Even with manager. The security was very rude and impolite. Although we were hotel guests we coudn't enter the hotel bar. Poor quality of the internet. Sometimes no internet.
If you are going to party, party, this hotel is great - right in the heart of the lively area....
... but the lack of effective double glazing meant I heard every partygoer go by not to mention the guy playing bongo's just around the corner at 1am on a tues and wed night.
Breakfast and complimentary Wi-Fi and ear plugs were great
Couldn't keep our cases anywhere after check out and no late check out options. We also could not keep our window open and had to use cushions to prop it open
the location right next door to the dublin castle
It was extremly noisy in the street and the glzing did not keep it out.I was informed by the reception tht breakfast ws not included but in the bar area starting at 0900,I queeried this and it was confirmed as starting at 0900 as my meeting started at 0920 i did not go to breakfast which in actual fact did start at 0730
Very nice traditional pub. Open late. Excellent breakfast included. Excellent location.
Convenient for meeting place and staff both helpful and friendly. Could do with a refurbishment as clearly no money spent on infrastructure for some years.
Noisy from bars downstairs and street outside. No double glazing and window wouldn't close properly.
The room itself was lovely
The noise from outside was very loud. Staff were not friendly.went to order bloody Mary in bar and no tomato juice anywhere. No alternative given. Staff just don't care. Broken floor tiles in bathroom
If you book more than one day the rate increases even though you may be able to book online for the next night for the cheaper rate. Also bathroom in need of a refurbish.
Good value for money
Tv in room didnt work. Excellent location but can be noisy.
Got very little sleep due to the heavy traffic passing.
Fulfilled my purpose of being within walking distance of Trinity College for weekend reunion. Had little need for food but breakfasts were satisfactory and good value. En suite room excellent for me (age 81!)
Very loud music outside could have been a nuisance but 4th floor room overcame this potential problem.
no peep hole on bedroom door
We were given room with 2 single beds despite asking for a double. No aircon just crappy portable fan.unbearably stuffy couldn't leave window open because of noise from revellers outside . eventually got to sleep at around 4am I was then accidentally overcharged 10 times the rate on my debit card!!!! which was refunded but still. If you are foolish enough to stay here make sure Pay with cash!
