Friendly staff, left us to come and go as we pleased. Very good breakfast to start the day. Beds were very comfortable and the room and bathroom very clean. Would certainly stay there again and would recommend.
Friendly staff Organised
I wish the shares bathroom was more clearly mentioned on the website. But maybe I misread but I'm a low maintenance guest
The location was perfect. Although we were told Gardiner Street was a 'rough' end of Dublin, we had no problems at all and felt very safe there. There was a member of staff at the reception 24 hrs a day to let us in and hand us our key. Lovely breakfast every morning- choose between a full Irish or continental with a large selection.- Breakfast staff really friendly and made us feel very welcome. Very clean rooms and comfortable bed.- Perfect place to stay for a short break in Dublin.
It was quite cold in the room, but we were provided with a small heater which didn't take long to heat up. The room was quite noisy at night as the guesthouse is on a main road, but it didn't take us too long to get to sleep after a night out in Dublin!
Everything except shower.
Central location close to O Connell Street, Busaras and Luas. Open 24hrs.
Tiny room, very basic. Breakfast very basic. Noise from next door, above and below. The walls door and ceiling did not help contain any noise from other guests. Pack ear plugs or don't expect a lie in.
An excellent budget hotel in a great spot. A lovely old building and pleasant staff.
Being an old building, the plumbing is a little poor (took fully 5 minutes for the hot water to reach our room!) but otherwise a great place.
Location was perfect. Breakfast was a plus too.
You weren't given a key for the front, and a couple of times I had to wait over 5 minutes for someone to open the door, after knocking multiple times.
staff were helpful and the beds and towels were spotlessly clean, breakfast excellent. well positioned for the centre of Dublin. ample for a few days visit
the rooms and en suites are obviously in need of refurbishment, and the plumbing needs attention due to noise. We felt the building wasn't used to its full potential, on the lower level.
Big rooms And helpful staff
No tea/coffee facilities in room, no glass to have a drink of water
the bed was decent.
Me and My partner aren't complainers usually but the staff were extremely rude and unhelpful, we asked what time breakfast was at 10:01 as we had not been given any information on arrival and we were basically shouted at that it was too late and we were told it was 10. If we had been told we would have been on time, we weren't even upset about missing breakfast just shocked at the treatment we received. They took over 10minutes to even answer the door to us when we arrived and we had to phone them to let us in. They were beyond rude on more than one occasion and made no apologies what so ever. The room smelt of wet paint and the light did not work on the ceiling which I could have forgiven usually if the service had of been better.
near both busaras, Luas station and Connelly rain station. Good pubs nearby, 10min walk to temple bar.
noisy front bedroom (on a main road) a few maintenance issues
Shower in bathroom not working properly
The location in the city centre was excellent. Everywhere we needed to go was within easy walking distance. The staff were very accomodating, allowing us to leave our bags all day while we were shopping. Loved the room, it was old with high ceiling and plenty of space for 2 teenagers and 1 adult and was warm and bright.
We were near the stairs which meant a lot of late night noise - there is no lift.
Clean modern decor in old Georgian townhouse. Very warm room. Good central location. Nice breakfast, Very helpful and friendly staff. The 66 stairs to my room at the top I'll put as a positive thing to keep me fit!
Nothing especially but just a suggestion that there's a note in the room saying that a hairdryer's available at reception. Yes - the TV reception is pretty bad but I wasn't there to watch TV. Sure if they could fix it somehow, seeing they've got TVs, all the better.
The evening clerk was very helpful and patient. The waitress for breakfast was also good. The room was huge and beautiful. The bathroom was extremely clean.
There was only one electric outlet. The tv reception was terrible. The morning clerk took my key and returned to his computer without saying a word to me.
convenient location to bus station
Location near city center and shopping area, very friendly staff, nice irish breakfast, warm rooms
Noise from trains, smoking smell on the stairways, dust
The room was basic but it had all u needed and the bed was very comfortable.
Cant think of anything I didnt like
Lots of hot water and powerful shower.Secure car parking. Reasonable sized room for a city centre accommodation. Good decoration. Helpful staff.
Need tea making facilities. Minute bathroom. Noisy at weekends-ask for room at the back of the building.
We were able to book even though the credit card was declined on booking.
We booked for a double bed, but because credit card wasn't accepted for some reason, the booking didn't go through... no-one notified us about the incomplete booking. Probably that's why we got two beds instead of one large. Window didn't close, so a bit cold And we were toward the street, so a lot of noise.
Very close to the city, nice walking distance from spots, 24/7 desk help
Cost for a B&B a bit pricey, small rooms
It was clean and our room was very big. The price was extremely reasonable and the location was great.
They had just painted and we got headaches and our eyes hurt from the fumes. We could hear footsteps above us on the wood flooring when people walked about in the night and morning.
Location, cleanliness, room/layout. Borrowed hairdryer from front desk.
It was so noisy sleep was impossible. Windows are clearly not thick enough. The blind was sheer and allowed all the light through. Easy to hear all movements and conversations of your neighbours. Without earplugs sleep was impossible. Breakfast was poor. Staff were all male and some were surly.
The location was good for everything we needed, the room was a good size, breakfast was nice, beds were comfy.
Very noisy from the train track, could hear all movement from other guests, the place is being decorated at present so didn't have a main light in the room, it was either freezing cold or boiling hot and smelled of paint in the room.
