I love aherlow house have been there many a time over the last 20 years and keep going back there
Receptionist could have been a lot more welcoming and never even asked if we enjoyed our stay.Needs to learn how to smile.
Beautiful Surroundings.Very Relaxing environment.Manager was ever so Friendly.Always smiling and pleasant to customers and staff.A credit to himself.
Bathroom floor flooded after taking a shower. You don't get a full glass of coke. Was noisy at night.
The staff were all very pleasent. The dinner was very good and the room was clean and comfortable
Not very well sign posted. Came into Tipp town and had to ask for directions.
Stayed here for one night and have no complaints. Good-sized room with very comfortable bed. Beautiful views from and very friendly, helpful staff. Would come again.
Staff in the evening where very slow to do anything. No mobile or wifi reception at all
Breakfast was great
Ability to go for walks
the hotel needs to be up dated - needs a good cleaning -
Bathroom was very small and a little shabby.. bath panel broken, shower curtain missing hooks. Buffet breakfast was not good, on arrival no plates, jam, fruit, pastries. Could have been more varied.
Location was excellent, very quiet and comfortable. Bedroom was lovely. Dinner was excelkent. Walks in the woods were loveky. Cooked breakfast and the brown bread was georgous.
Painting and general construction made it difficult to relax. Also, very loud alt rock music and blaring tv. We frequently had to search out staff to get served. The staff was friendly, though. Hotel should have discounted rates and/or disclosed the construction activities during the booking process.
Amazing views! Lovely countryside.
Dated, all walls and carpets badly marked. Very old tv. Kitchen was getting oven installed so dinner had to wait until they were installed. Cooked breakfast rotten tasting. Coffee also rotten.
Views great. Bed comfy
radiator in room needs bleeding...only a few inches top and bottom working. double duvet cover used on a single bed and stuffed underneath mattress to disguise.grout in bathroom needs whitening or replacing. broken tile on bathroom floor. no overhead lighting in bedroom so reading almost impossible.
young barman very cheery doing his work.great big roaring log fire.good food.lovely breakfast.great views.lovewly bar and breakfast room.
We chose property so we could have cocktails/dine with a view. The bushes have been allowed to grow so densely that there is no view.
Nice kitchen and washer/dryer. Staff helpful. Size (3 bedrooms and baths worked great for our 2 families).
No hair dryer. Lighting poor in bedroom. Had to get out of bed to put on bedside lamps. When we returned to our room at 3am. a barman cleaning up after the night had very loud music playing while he did so. Couldn't sleep.
Good location for hill walking
Reported to reception Iron & twin sockets along with bedside lamps not working in bedroom on 3 occassions, copper wire exposed on iron lead. Extract fan in toilet not working. No information forthcoming from reception on check in, ie, having to turn shower on & leave running for a period of at least ten minutes for hot water. having asked a number of times for an iron to be told it would be sent up straight away only for nothing to arrive. No decaffeinated coffee available for room when asked for. Blind not fitted correctly over window in bedroom it fell down while trying to close it. Only 2 channels available on tv in this day & age, wifi very poor not very good if a number of people using it, tried a number of times to post on the internet it kept failing due to week signal.
Scenery & walks located near hotel.
My husband were very impressed with the hotel and staff. We really enjoyed our stay.
smell of sewerage in the first room i was given, also door hanging on 1 hinge in dressing table.broken toilet seat, water stains on ceiling, shower not working properly in room we moved to from smelly room.management need to get small problems sorted to keep the hotel guests from writing bad reviews
the location is amazingly beautiful. the staff were helpful and cannot be held responsible for condition of the rooms.
The weather while in the Glen was rain and foggy.
The Glen is a photographers delight. The walking trails are varied to accommodate the different levels of hikers.
There was a slightly tired look about the place and the breakfast was basic.
This was a pleasant and comfortable place to stay. Pet friendly. There is a decent restaurant as well as very good bar food available.
clothing in room .bottletop on floor by bed
location staff friendly food very good
Stayed 3 nights - Towels not replenished. Lodges need decorating, new carpets & bringing upto date. No WiFi in lodges or even a phone signal!
Nice breakfast. Friendly staff. Free entertainment [Live band]
The appalling food and poor standard of staff training.
Food in the main hotel is not a good standard and very little of it.
We were a family travelling with one small child. Facilities in the lodges was excellent. Very clean, modern and the view was breathtaking.
