Very good,
Score from 612 reviews
In the heart of the Georgian city of Dublin, this 3-star guesthouse features traditional dècor and furnishings. It was built in the 18th century, and was once part of the Earl of Clonmel’s estate. Near St Stephen’s Green, Albany House is a fully non-smoking and privately owned residence. It's just a 5-minute walk from Dublin's main shopping street, Grafton Street, or the main entertainment district of Temple Bar. Each room has a private bathroom, cable TV and facilities for making tea and coffee. There is a 24-hour front desk, and free Wi-Fi is available in public areas of the building. Breakfast is served each morning and there is a wide variety of bars and restaurants within a short walk. Guests can choose from a selection of continental options, served in the Albany's breakfast room. Unfortunately, the guesthouse does not have an elevator. Super friendly & helpful staff all the time! Can't say enough about how awesome they all are!!! A special note to michael & how much we enjoyed his great conversation at breakfast. Breakfast was fantastic every day with homemade breads, a really plus. Breakfast times have a nice wide window making it easy to attend. Rooms were clean & maintained nicely everyday. The beds were very comfortable!!! Water pressure was good. Room was large & it was very quiet & private.

Convenient, friendly, well appointed accommodation near to City centre and in a generally quiet location. Front rooms can be a little noisy from trams and party goers.

The location of the Albany House and the helpfulness of the staff was really excellent to tour Dublin City. We liked the size of the room and the morning breakfast. The Albany house did not have a lift and we were not aware that we would have to climb so many stairs to get to our upper floor room. the staff was helpful in reassigning our room to a lower floor - as senior travelers with luggage it was very important to have a room on a lower floor.

Great location, 10 mins to centre of Dublin town and Castle. Hotel staff were very nice and helpful. Tram directly outside but was not a noisy hotel. Breakfast was lovely, cheeses, breads, croissants, toast, jams and marmalade, usual cereals and fruit, tea, coffee and juices, have as much as you like. Complete mixture of ages here, young couples, families with young children and elderley. Great value. The bed was one of the most comfortable I have slept in.

They bent over backwards to make our trip pleasant. One of the person's in the group had a minor catastrophe and they resolved it for us. All the people in Ireland were just fabulous.

Hi , I spent two nights in this hotel. The front-desk staff have been really very co - operative esp Mr.Owen has been very kind.I Liked the location of this hotel as it was very near to the place where I was taking an exam. The rooms are very neat and tidy.I Enjoyed my stay and will surely go for Albany Hotel in times ahead also. It would be a great convenience if one could avail an internet access in rooms on top floor also as I did enjoy the convenience being on the first floor but couldnt do so the next day upon shifting to the top floor.Although the front-desk staff have been really nice and they helped me a lot with my work later on at the reception.

I have stayed at Albany House several times by now. It is a friendly place to go back to each time I visit Dublin. With its cozy interior, it feels like home. Nice atmosphere, kind staff, perfect location, quiet but very close to centre/shopping area/attractions. Very cozy, traditional-style rooms with perfectly modern bathrooms. I strongly recommend it.

Albany House was an exceptional bargain and the cleanest accommodations we have ever had. A very comfortable stay in an old charming and elegant setting. The location was perfect. The complimentary fresh fruit, local cheeses and french pressed coffee was a pleasant start to our days. I would not hesitate to book a stay here again.

The hotel staff were very friendly and readily answered all of our questions. The room was a good size and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was very clean which was great. The main reason for our visit to Dublin was to visit the museums. The hotel was very close to the hotels we wished to visit and we didn't have to walk too far. It was also close to some really nice resturants. Being on the bottom floor there was a little noise just from staff leaving the back door to go out to the bins. The pillows on the bed were either too soft or too hard. The hair dryer in the bathroom worked but was coming apart.

“The Hotel is very conveniently located, in a safe and very good area, central, with lots of public transportation optinons (bus, train, cab). The price was very affordable considering the hotel itself and the provided services. The breakfest was huge, delicious and always in time. The hotel staff was extremly friendly and helpfull (all shifts). The room very clean, spacious enough, warm and 24/7 hot water. The hotel, room and lounge design is very beautifull and warm, gives the impression of a luxury mansion and the comfort of your home. last but not least, the hotel, rooms, lounge, washrooms are very, very clean. I will definately recommend it to all types of travellers. I will go back if I will travel to Dublin again.” Dan, Brussels |

“My sister & I and my Aunt stayed for 3 days at the Charles Stewart, we wanted to be in a location that was central to shopping, sight seeing, close location to Trinity College & the Temple Bar. We did get all that! The room was clean, towels were replaced daily, the breakfast was good, they were willing to accomodate any special requests. All in all it was a great stay. No complaints! We would stay again.” Lynn, Victoria |
