In the heart of the Georgian city of Dublin, this 3-star guesthouse features traditional dècor and furnishings. It was built in the 18th century, and was once part of the Earl of Clonmel’s estate. Near St. Stephen’s Green, Albany House is a fully non-smoking and privately-owned residence. It's just a 5 minute walk from Dublin's main shopping street, Grafton Street, or the main entertainment district of Temple Bar. Each room with private bathroom comes with cable TV and facilities for making tea and coffee. There is a 24-hour front desk, and free Wi-Fi is available throughout the building. Breakfast is served each morning and there is a wide variety of bars and restaurants within a short walk. Guests can choose from a selection of continental options, served in the Albany's breakfast room. Unfortunately, the guesthouse does not have an elevator. The location is great for shopping and going out. Room was very tired cobwebs on the wall above one of the bed. Curtains were stained at the end.

Great location and friendly staff. Our room faced the street and it was very noisy until 3a.m. for each of the three nights we were there.

The staff are very pleasant and helpful. The location is perfect for downtown shopping, dining, theatre, strolls through St. Stephen's Green, and the Luas. Night security is properly cautious. Excellent shower, and beautiful Georgian building. Dragging my bags upstairs.

The locality- v.close to the family we were visiting. Staff friendliness and helpfulness was excellent. The ambience of the building was lovely and breakfasts were good as were the breakfast staff. We would definitely use it again. Initial room reeked of stale tobacco smoke BUT we were moved instantly to a better room on request. Staff very apologetic - we assumed cause was decorators renovating hotel.

The staff were wonderful. Very efficient, friendly and accommodating. We arrived from Canada after about 30 hours with no sleep. There were not enough clothes hangers in our room - we asked for more and went out sight seeing. When we returned we were amazed to find that all our clothes (and we had a lot) had been hung up for us. I can't remember any hotel anywhere doing that. The breakfast although not "full Irish" was really good.

Albany House is a very nice hotel that exceeded expectations. Our room 103 was quite large with a living room and bedroom. It even had a second restroom which was an unexpected surprise. The room was clean and fresh. The continental breakfast was included in the price and nice. I would absolutely stay again and ask for the same room. The hotel is walking distance to the city center and far enough away to be quiet for a restful experience. The windows need washing

Receptionist moved us to a second room for follow-on days. Much improved in layout, modern bath. 1st room was a weird design, uncomfortable, and tiny bath with not even a towel rod or hook. Breakfast was fair, with good, fresh food, but few options.

Breakfast ok, but hardly exciting. I had booked six weeks ahead, but the double room I got for my wife and myself was on the third floor. It was small for a double room. The bathroom was also small and poorly equipped--tiny amount of soap, small bath towels. Hot water took an age to arrive in the morning. The room faced onto the street and did not have double glazing. The noise of the trams was bearable, however the location has several nightclubs just up the street. The noise from the club goers was appalling! There was a fight outside the window with one individual knocked to the ground. My wife heard a 'lady of the night' plying her trade. The noise continued until nearly 5am. At no time were the garda to be seen. On complaining to the receptionist, we were moved to a rear facing room for our second night. I did not get the impression that this member of staff was too concerned that we had had a sleepless night! The second room was better. I have never had to move rooms in a hotel in all my life, until we stayed at Albany House.

Climbing 3 flights of stairs with heavy luggage and nobody from the hotel capable of assisting (we are in our 60's) Unable to sleep for 2 nights; after the clanging of the electric tram stops outside; hundreds of loud drunken night club patrons queuing across the road from 22:00 scream shout and continue until 04:00 when the taxis take over. The staff at breakfast specialise in making as much noise as possible washing up and relaying tables. The worst hotel we have ever stayed in

Everything... Fantastic location which was just out of the hustle and bustle of the city centre but a 2 minute walk to get there.... Lovely and clean... Spacious ...and fantastic people that work there... so helpful when advising us on places to go. The only downfall to this hotel was that we were on the top floor and therefore had to run the shower for 10 minutes before getting in, otherwise it was ice cold!... But other than that. would return!

We had a room to the back side of the House, No 102 and it looked newly renovated. There was a beautiful high ceiling with a lot of old moulding. The bathroom was also very nice, everything very clean. The staff was uber-friendly and very caring!
