In the heart of the Georgian city of Dublin, this 3-star guesthouse features traditional dècor and furnishings. It was built in the 18th century, and was once part of the Earl of Clonmel’s estate. Near St Stephen’s Green, Albany House is a fully non-smoking and privately owned residence. It's just a 5-minute walk from Dublin's main shopping street, Grafton Street, or the main entertainment district of Temple Bar. Each room has a private bathroom, cable TV and facilities for making tea and coffee. There is a 24-hour front desk, and free Wi-Fi is available in public areas of the building. Breakfast is served each morning and there is a wide variety of bars and restaurants within a short walk. Guests can choose from a selection of continental options, served in the Albany's breakfast room. Unfortunately, the guesthouse does not have an elevator. Hotel Rooms: 43

Super friendly & helpful staff all the time! Can't say enough about how awesome they all are!!! A special note to michael & how much we enjoyed his great conversation at breakfast. Breakfast was fantastic every day with homemade breads, a really plus. Breakfast times have a nice wide window making it easy to attend. Rooms were clean & maintained nicely everyday. The beds were very comfortable!!! Water pressure was good. Room was large & it was very quiet & private.

A very well maintained hotel, bedroom facilities excellent, very comfortable and a good standard continental breakfast. staff friendly and helpful. hotel in a fine georgian house centrally located, a couple of minutes from St Stephen's green. We thought it very good value for a city centre hotel. We would stay there again as a first choice and recommend it to others.

Albany house was well located for city centre shopping etc. Room was good value with a nice breakfast included in a competitive price. The staff were friendly and helpfull. Having no parking facilities for guests was not ideal however parking was available within 5/10 minutes walk

The location is super and the room was lovely. I got a double room for €69 which is very good value. I would definitely stay again! The only issue was that an earlier booking for a single room had not been cancelled although I had sent an email requesting same. This was not a problem on checking out - the receptionist was very pleasant about it.

The staff was incredible. The front desk service was excellent. As a solo traveller at 18 years of age, they helped me extensively. I could not have had a better experience traveling to Ireland alone. They had an answer for every question and if they did not know the answer they would look it up and help me as much as they could. They knew the places to visit in Dublin and the places that were simply tourist traps. I would most definitely make another trip to Albany house! The only thing I had an issue with on some mornings was the complimentary breakfast started at 7:30. I went on some bus tours where I had to be there at 6:50 am. Since the breakfast was put into my original cost. I was paying for breakfast that I did not even get to eat. I stayed at the Albany house 6 nights and only got 2 breakfast. Otherwise I had an excellent experience!

It has a good central location, a short walk to good restaurants and secure overnight parking close by at the college of surgeons. Good value for money.

The property is very elegant, and the location is very central to Dublin city centre, and transport. The Reception staff were off-hand and disinterested. There was no welcome, or enquiry as to how our stay was going, or had gone. The catering and bedroom staff were however very cheery and friendly. The room (No10) is on the lower floor and is dull and a bit tired in appearance. Hairs and a toothpick on the bathroom floor on arrival were still there when we checked out - despite "cleaning" on three mornings. Rooms 9-11 are to be avoided as they are used as, or are adjacent to staff quarters, which results in extra noise disruption morning and night. The Hotel's own web-site admits to keeping the better rooms for clients booking direct. Perhaps booking.com should consider whether they wish to continue to give this Hotel a listing, given that attitude?

Although Albany House is in a noisy street, between the Luas and a nightclub near by, the room we were given was lovely and quiet.

Friendly, homely atmosphere - convenient to city centre Only drawback was noise levels from outside during the night - a busy night club across the road , and, of course regular tram sound most of the day

Lovely place, well located, nice staff but don't go there on saturday night! There is a night club in Harcourt street and if your room is on the street side, you can't sleep all the night long!

I liked it a lot. It is very conveniently located and is brilliant value. I loved the building (hence tick for design), and I loved breakfast. I am already wondering if I can come back. I prefer thinner pillows but that's my only dislike.

We felt welcome from the start. Our room was spacious and comfortable and the breakfast much to our liking, especially the fresh wheaten bread, fresh rolls and fresh fruit. The location of Albany House is ideal for central Dublin; everywhere is within walking distance. The proximity of the National Concert Hall is a huge advantage for music lovers. We will certainly choose Albany House for any similar trip.

The breakfast at Albany House was excellent .....they do not offer the usual Full Irish/English breakfast but that's absolutely not needed as they offer a variety of foods in their "Continental" breakfast....several types of freshly baked breads/croissants, freshly brewed coffee/tea, fruit salad, grapefruit segments, 4 or 5 cheeses, cold meats, cereals, yogurts - one of the best breakfasts I've had in a hotel!!

Great location. Friendly and helpful staff. Nice new bathroom. Mattress/ box-spring could be better quality. Carpet needs to be replaced in the bedrooms. Hot water could be slightly hotter.

Albany House is in an excellent location just off Stephens Green. Ideal for shopping or a night out in Dublin. It was spotless and great value. A good choice for breakfast. The breakfast staff were really helpful and friendly. No lift which would be an issue for an older person. The bathroom was quite small, however given the value we received this was not an issue for us.

“The Hotel is very conveniently located, in a safe and very good area, central, with lots of public transportation optinons (bus, train, cab). The price was very affordable considering the hotel itself and the provided services. The breakfest was huge, delicious and always in time. The hotel staff was extremly friendly and helpfull (all shifts). The room very clean, spacious enough, warm and 24/7 hot water. The hotel, room and lounge design is very beautifull and warm, gives the impression of a luxury mansion and the comfort of your home. last but not least, the hotel, rooms, lounge, washrooms are very, very clean. I will definately recommend it to all types of travellers. I will go back if I will travel to Dublin again.” Dan, Brussels |
