In the heart of the Georgian city of Dublin, this 3-star guesthouse features traditional dècor and furnishings. It was built in the 18th century, and was once part of the Earl of Clonmel’s estate. Near St Stephen’s Green, Albany House is a fully non-smoking and privately owned residence. It's just a 5-minute walk from Dublin's main shopping street, Grafton Street, or the main entertainment district of Temple Bar. Each room has a private bathroom, cable TV and facilities for making tea and coffee. There is a 24-hour front desk, and free Wi-Fi is available in public areas of the building. Breakfast is served each morning and there is a wide variety of bars and restaurants within a short walk. Guests can choose from a selection of continental options, served in the Albany's breakfast room. Unfortunately, the guesthouse does not have an elevator. Hotel Rooms: 43

Super friendly & helpful staff all the time! Can't say enough about how awesome they all are!!! A special note to michael & how much we enjoyed his great conversation at breakfast. Breakfast was fantastic every day with homemade breads, a really plus. Breakfast times have a nice wide window making it easy to attend. Rooms were clean & maintained nicely everyday. The beds were very comfortable!!! Water pressure was good. Room was large & it was very quiet & private.

Albany house was well located for city centre shopping etc. Room was good value with a nice breakfast included in a competitive price. The staff were friendly and helpfull. Having no parking facilities for guests was not ideal however parking was available within 5/10 minutes walk

A very well maintained hotel, bedroom facilities excellent, very comfortable and a good standard continental breakfast. staff friendly and helpful. hotel in a fine georgian house centrally located, a couple of minutes from St Stephen's green. We thought it very good value for a city centre hotel. We would stay there again as a first choice and recommend it to others.

The property is very elegant, and the location is very central to Dublin city centre, and transport. The Reception staff were off-hand and disinterested. There was no welcome, or enquiry as to how our stay was going, or had gone. The catering and bedroom staff were however very cheery and friendly. The room (No10) is on the lower floor and is dull and a bit tired in appearance. Hairs and a toothpick on the bathroom floor on arrival were still there when we checked out - despite "cleaning" on three mornings. Rooms 9-11 are to be avoided as they are used as, or are adjacent to staff quarters, which results in extra noise disruption morning and night. The Hotel's own web-site admits to keeping the better rooms for clients booking direct. Perhaps booking.com should consider whether they wish to continue to give this Hotel a listing, given that attitude?

The location is super and the room was lovely. I got a double room for €69 which is very good value. I would definitely stay again! The only issue was that an earlier booking for a single room had not been cancelled although I had sent an email requesting same. This was not a problem on checking out - the receptionist was very pleasant about it.

The staff was incredible. The front desk service was excellent. As a solo traveller at 18 years of age, they helped me extensively. I could not have had a better experience traveling to Ireland alone. They had an answer for every question and if they did not know the answer they would look it up and help me as much as they could. They knew the places to visit in Dublin and the places that were simply tourist traps. I would most definitely make another trip to Albany house! The only thing I had an issue with on some mornings was the complimentary breakfast started at 7:30. I went on some bus tours where I had to be there at 6:50 am. Since the breakfast was put into my original cost. I was paying for breakfast that I did not even get to eat. I stayed at the Albany house 6 nights and only got 2 breakfast. Otherwise I had an excellent experience!

The location is excellent, especially when one takes into account the superb price we paid. The fact that the price also included a continental breakfast was even better. The location on Harcourt Street means that your sleep is disturbed by people entering and leaving the several nightclubs opposite. Bring ear plugs or ask for a room at the rear.

Newly refurbed bathroom, although no bath, just shower. The 'double' rooms were not big enough for two people without a squeeze. The room was cold with no ability to adjust temperature. There was no bath only a shower. Rooms looked really tired. Most rooms faced onto a very busy road and opposite popular (and noisy) bars where people spilled out into the street until the small hours - and this was a Tuesday.

Location Noisy as it was located on a street which had nightclubs open until 4am. Too hot. I was placed on the top floor which required a hike up four flights of stairs as there is no lift. No ideal with suitcases and shopping bags. All in all, I did not sleep a wink and will not return regardless of price.

Central, clean and spacious rooms, great service - what more can you ask for? Very quiet, yet within walking distance to all the main attractions and nightlife, suitable for both business and families trips. Great value for money. Contrary to complaints on booking.com, we did have wifi in our room!

The location is good, close to Temple Bar,Grafton st. For example. Also I got good value for my money, the staff was friendly, the bed sheets clean but I got to be honest I loved the bathroom the most!It was very clean smelled nice and looked like it was just renovated. The hotel walls and staircases could've been a bit cleaner.

Location I would never stay there again, if you are a backpacker & want to party all night, this is a super location, if you are a business person & you want to go to bed to sleep at night without waking up to night club noises, people on the streets shouting, drunks etc this is not the place to stay.

“The Hotel is very conveniently located, in a safe and very good area, central, with lots of public transportation optinons (bus, train, cab). The price was very affordable considering the hotel itself and the provided services. The breakfest was huge, delicious and always in time. The hotel staff was extremly friendly and helpfull (all shifts). The room very clean, spacious enough, warm and 24/7 hot water. The hotel, room and lounge design is very beautifull and warm, gives the impression of a luxury mansion and the comfort of your home. last but not least, the hotel, rooms, lounge, washrooms are very, very clean. I will definately recommend it to all types of travellers. I will go back if I will travel to Dublin again.” Dan, Brussels |
