In the middle of the town of Clifden, very handy. Staff very friendly and accommodating to the children Breakfast was €10 per person, including children, €40 for breakfast is too expensive, especially with a 4 and 6 year old.

Location and room were good. We booked the hotel through the booking.com website which was quoted at 69 euro for the room however when I rang the hotel at 8pm to confirm the booking they said that the price was 69 per person sharing. I ignored what he said and booked it through booking.com anyway. On arrival I asked the man why was he willing to overcharge me for the room and he shrugged his shoulders and made no apoligies for it. For this reason I would be wary of booking this hotel again.

Joyful friendly atmosphere aided by the staff. Price should include breakfast. If I give the business the least to expect is a breakfast.

Good value for the price. Of the very few triple room options in Clifden, the Alcock & Brown had us covered for a nice, inexpensive night. A cozy stay with food and drinks right downstairs. Square in the center of town, and parking on the street is mostly free. The triple room was a little out dated and small, but appropriate for the price.

Staff in the hotel were excellent, particularly the lady at Reception, and was extremely helpful. Liked the fact that the hotel is very central, right in the centre of the town. Thanks to everybody for an enjoyable stay. New Television in the room would be a major improvement, as the T.V. was an older, small model. Limited choice of fruit, cereals etc. for breakfast, but nevertheless breakfast was delicious. Would have liked extra space in the bathroom for toiletries etc.

The staff were helpful and friendly. The room was clean, beds were comfortable the location was terrific The hotel needs to be updated. There was a funkly smell in the room as if freshner was sprayed to cover an odour, I opened the window for a while and it was fine after a while. There is no parking at the hotel, if you want to have access to your car after 9pm. Onstreet parking could be difficult to find if the town was very busy

A pleasant hotel with welcoming and helpful staff. Rooms are fairly basic but are clean and comfortable with TVs and tea/coffee making stuff. Breakfast was lovely and well worth the seven euro supplement. It is well situated in the middle of clifden and is handy for the many excellent pubs and restaurants.

I've been to Connemara many times and stayed in more expensive competitors. The Alcock & Brown is positioned conveniently right in the middle of town, close to the bars, restaurants......perfect position for exploring Clifden & Connemara and soaking up the atmosphere. For the price we paid the breakfast was great, free wifi and a big comfortable bed. The bedroom we stayed in was a bit dated, but I would have no hesitation recommending the hotel. Just bear in mind that I dont think there is a lift serving the two bedroom floors.
