The location over looking Galway bay is amazing.Lovely and quiet stay,away from the hustle and noise off the city centre B and B's.Host was excellent with his guidance on local restaurants and pubs.Chocolates on the bed at arrival was lovely touch plus breakfast next morn was plenty,very tasty and well worth it.

Would like to have more information on using bus system to get into/out of city center Information on nearby (city center and immediate area) was limited.

We had somewhere to stay !!

The double room (room 6) was tiny and really a single room and not suitable for a double bed. We had to walk sideways to move around the room. The ensuite was miniscule and difficult to move in. I asked for a receipt and was laughed at and refused - I only received one after insisting !! The breakfast was poor and small. Nobody there to greet us upon arrival. Very poor value for money - This is not a B&B but a B&BE - "Breakfast Extra" - never heard of a B&B not including breakfast in their rate !!

Owner was very accommodating. Nice place to stay. Close to bus stop. Easy to get to and from railway station. Would stay there again.

The view is spectacular and relaxing. The owner is very friendly and welcoming. Place is clean, bright and well run. No complaints

It is a small hotel, not a B&B. I mean no real contact with the owners, no personal relationships with the locals. When we arrived, a teenager opened the door, said hello and showed us the room, not even a word. there was a fire alarm in the middle of the night during 15 minutes. In the morning, a young lady said hello and served breakfast, nothing more. we were really disappointed. And it s really too far from Galway city center, when you have no car, 5 kms! And the sea view? behind the road, the nature and then, a little peace of water...

I really find this unbelievable that this won award off trip advisor in 2012. Just stayed in this b&b, pretty grim, door in number 6 did not lock properly with the key from the inside, flimsy bolt provided for security, hinckey stuff. The requested directions to the b&b were lacking, so though it says cashelmara on the booking, it is in fact Caiseal mara, and they fail to put in knocknacarra which would be a help. No answer of the telephone on several occasions in the afternoon to check the whereabouts of the b&B. Booking.com were blamed for the lack of response for the request for directions in advance. I also had to give the specific time for breakfast as apparently they are not equipped to offer a breakfast at this time of the year within a timeframe, for instance 8.30 - 10, and that as breakfast was just for three people in total. There was five in breakfast room when I arrived down, so it clearly suits staff rather than the customer. Try and fit it around the customer please. It is not free. The breakfast was adequate but it was clear that it was an inconvenience by the attitude of the breakfast lady who had no people skills. No menu for the breakfast so if you didn't ask you wouldn't be told. Everything seemed an effort and given that the choice for breakfast was very limited, I would have thought that it couldn't be that difficult. I paid a lot for this and came away annoyed. I will be contacting accrediting bodies on on security ground for room no.6. People have basic rights to such security and it should not be compromised.

It was a home from home so welcoming , clean ,modern and comfortable. Ideally located and very warm just what we needed in this wintry weather.The propriotor was/is so well informing on where to go and what to see and do .Pity all B&Bs are not like this amazing establishment. .Heaven for vacationers and a local treasure.

Thing we did not like about this B&B was checking out !! We highly recommend it and will return again.

Michael the owner &rest of staff were excellent &pointed us to best Resturant &local golf club. They advised on best bars &clubs to visit in Galway city plus our room was clean and well heated which made our trip. The breakfast the next day was excellent which kept us going until dinner that evening -will certainly be back....

My room was too cold and I had no individual heat control. Breakfast was only okay.

We loved the view from our room. We specifically asked for a room with a bay-side view and the view didn't disappoint. We loved being within walking distance of the shore. Our room was also spacious and clean, which we appreciated.

When we arrived we were greeted by a young boy who didn't welcome us or say anything accept, "This way to your room." We drove all day to get to Galway and it was cold and rainy outside. I guess we were expecting more professionalism and hospitality. We never did meet the owners or anyone in charge during our two-day stay. The other thing that disappointed us was the lack of heat in the room. My husband and I visited in mid-December, but the hotel didn't turn the heat on. We froze both nights and were frankly looking forward to leaving on our final day. Finally, the walls are super thin so we felt like we had to whisper the entire time. Perhaps if we had visited in the Summer when we would be spending more time outside of our room, we wouldn't have had this kind of experience. I would still recommend the place only if you're not that concerned with service and are simply going there for the view and access to the beach.

Very friendly proprietor, food was fantastic, room was lovely. Warm, comfortable, had everything required and then some. Lovely being right on the shore. Fantastic experience, would recommend to anyone.
