Score from 1788 reviews Very good
It was extremely good value for money and all facilities were excellent.
Thought it was a small bit far out from the city centre.
Good breakfast Helpful staff Easy parking
Old school door locks were charming but tricky
Inconvenient if you are not driving your own car. Costed 20+ Euros for taxi The light in the room is very dark
Very clean, comfortable beds, outstanding breakfast, and fast service.
Internet was going in and out but not huge deal.
-easy to find, not far away from city center - good prices for just a place to sleep, nothing fancy
-extremely poor breakfast. For continental option (unless you want a cooked Irish breakfast) there is no toaster , so no toasting bread options which isnt nice for a breakfast -the options for continental are very limited and also the cucumbers were not fresh at all - the gem is packed in big jars, not individual small packed packets , which make is not so hygienic
Every thing. About. Amber. Hill. Guesthouse
geographical location - very handy for Connemara, and West Galway coast. Quiet environment. Comfortable Optional breakfast.
Professional Efficient Warm Comfortable
I felt the breakfasts could be better quality.
Staff were really helpful and the breakfast was excellent.
staff are friendly, the location is good, close to the shopping mall.
Cleanliness very poor in self catering charlet, no stopper in basin so could not shave, boiler keep coming one so disrupted sleep. Would not stay here gain.
initially I was told Breakfast was included. At check out I was told it is not and had to pay extra. Its called Bed and not Bed & Brekafast
Friendly clean and far better than hotel's I've stayed in.
CLeanliness and comfort
Wifi kept knocking off
Great breakfest, very peaceful place, great to stay with kids
nothing to complain
Location: 100 yards to the bus stop- just 3km to town Coffee facility WiFi Bed was comfortable Nice shower
Room 41: too much disturbance from guests coming in late and going out. Ring bell etc could hear conversations of other guests both outside and in hall. Room was very dusty, had to sleep with the window open which added to lack of sleep. 2nd day I bought wipes to clean window cill to get rid of dust, and shower floor before using it. Common room: not very inviting. Didn't feel I could just sit there & read as others were occupying the tv at all times. Pricing structure; wanted same € for saturday stay as the previous two nights combined! Staff seemed nice, but not like a normal B & B staff. Any information about sights had to be dragged out, had to ask for everything, and felt as if I was interrupting. No vegetarian option for breakfast i.e. Cereals, juice danish etc & if there was NO information was provided Overall: good location, room was nice but horrible local within the building. The lack of breakfast was EXTREMLY disappointing. Amber Hill is not run as a B & B it is cold and impersonal like a cheap hotel chain. If I was able to change my plans while in Galway I would have moved.
Cleanliness, reasonable pricing. Staff were pleasant enough.
Had to request change of room, it was outside the main Residence at the back and had to walk round to the front to get access for Meal facilities. Alternative room lamp shade was badly torn and didn't have a Chiller as advertised. Full Irish Breakfast was very ordinary, cheap quality sausages.
breakfast very good rooms nice staff very efficient great value
Everything was great and brilliant location breakfast is fantastic
Nice beds and breakfast
Had to get taxis into Galway city !
Central location, very easy to find and plenty of parking.
Had room at rear of house on ground floor-near kitchen and clothes dryer-so noisy in the evening and cooking smells in the morning as breakfast being prepared. Getting the attention of staff was through a buzzer at main door-not great system. Luckily I didn't need it.
Great place, no complaints.
This has to be the cleanest place I've stayed in Galway. I can't find anything negative to say about it. Staff are friendly and helpful. It's just a top notch place to stay.
The information on the booking didn't work with the GPS made hard to find and when we called for help we got an answering machine they need to updatetheir information
Location was close via Taxi not walking, Clean and welcoming staff
No fridge in room, No shampoo or bar of soap available, TV too small
